Mia's Quick Service

The job was performed to my satisfaction. This is the second time that I have used Mia's services through Angie's List. I would use both again.

Fantastic. Punctual and modified watering schedule for me to fit needs of the lawn. I go back to them every time for my lawn needs.

I contacted Mia's for a quote and a technician came out within a day or so. He gave us a verbal quote and said he would follow up with something in writing. After 5 days, we contact them because we heard nothing. A woman answered the phone and was obviously very rushed. She kept interrupting when I tried to explain that we were wondering where our quote was. She said, "Yes, I remember you...we will get it to you soon, I'm very busy so I have to go" and then she hung up without allowing me to respond. 4 more days has passed. We've never heard from anyone. I don't know the quality of their work or how reasonable the pricing, I found them to be incredibly unprofessional.

The technician identified the problem with the existing valve and recommended replacement. He showed me the part and it was obviously old and deteriorated. He worked diligently to find a replacement (discontinued valve). He explained all of the issues and did a great job getting the system up and running. Has a small glitch, but he came back out the next day and fixed. He also gave me great advice on updating some of my sprinkler heads.

This is the second time I used this service. It took a while to diagnose the issue because we were unawre that fence install broke lines, and severed wires. We are happy with results once again, and will use in the future.

It was okay. Nothing great, nothing poor. They came when they were scheduled. One of the things he did didn't quite work as well as it should have but I don't think that was his fault. He added two extra nozzles on one particular thing and said it would cut down the pressure therefore making it not work as well. That's not necessarily his fault. There may have not been enough pressure to make the popups be as they should. He did the work as advertised but I would want somebody a little more experienced. He seems like a technician that comes to do what he knows how to do. I feel like there are sprinkler companies that would be more experienced to do the job. He did a good job. I don't think anybody would be making a mistake by using him.

They were prompt, more thorough than the company we were using (not an Angie's List provider! :-) ) and, they even found a leak that was costing us more in water bills. I will definitely use them each season.

Work was fine. Only issue is that they don't itemize their receipts. I paid $59 for a service valued at $99. The receipt was illegible and they took $59 off the total. To mean this means I didn't get a deal at all. I called as they said they would send a check for the difference and this has not happened. When I get the check, I will give them a thumb's up.

Great. Technician spent extra time to diagnose, where exactly was a problem and have been able to fix it the same day. Person was very respectful, friendly and had good knowledge about sprinklers.

They did a great job. Closed off some sprinkler heads I don't need to use, adjusted a few for better coverage and set my timer to work the way my lawn needs.

The service was good. I have used them a few times.

They were a no show! Received email stating they would "be at my house Friday between 10-12...See you then." They were expecting a confirmation from me but didn't ask for one. Bad communication on their part. Cancelled appt. Will use another service.

Bottom line, Mia's Sprinkler did not provide the service that I purchased. That is, they would never show up. The first appointment I had with them they canceled 10 minutes beforeose the agreed upon time. Their reason was it was too wet that day. First of all, there was only a light mist with temperatures in the low 70's.. Secondly they were suppose to be testing my sprinkler system and that in itself could result in them getting wet. And lastly that same day my neighbor that was having a new fence installed, and their fence contractor had no problem working in the mist. Then next appointment I had with them they never showed up nor called. When I contacted them about an hour after they were suppose to arrive, the lady answering the phone had no record that I was on their schedule. (Even though the person that canceled my appointment the week before, agreed on this time.) I explained to lady that I was very frustrated with Mia's Sprinkler service after they stood me up twice, and I wanted my money back. She said she wanted to "make things right", took my phone number, and promised to get back to me. She never did. A few days later I contacted Angie's list, and explained the situation and my money was refunded.

Mia's did a great job. They were punctual and professional and did a great job fixing the sprinkler issues. I would recommend them and would purchase this big deal in the future.

I paid for the company to check all sprinkler heads which was about $75. Then they replaced 3 and charged me $75 for that. So for less than an hour of work they charged me about $150.

The tech showed up on time, performed the work. Didn't mention how much it would cost, then handed us a bill for $110 !! In hindsight we should have refused to pay, but we did. We later called the management office and got the "well we charge $95 per hour" - the guy was here for 15 minutes! The owner refused to provide any refund. Will never call Mia's again. They simply charge too much. Beware!

I pointed out 2 of the sprinkler heads did not retract after the test cycle. They were happy to dig them out and replace them for $15 each. They looked at the timer. Not sure what they did other than reset the clock 12 hours ahead and program a daily sprinkling at 3:30 am (which ran at 3:30 pm since the clock was set incorrectly). I corrected the date and time and changed the program to run once a week only.

The provider did not bother to show up at the first appointment. I had to call. He said wouldn't make it. The next day they came to look and give the estimate of $1000 since they still did not know what all parts were needed, labor quoted at $100/hr. On the day of the repair they said we were first on the list and that we needed to be available by 8am. It was nearly 10 when they showed up. 2 guys came and worked for 2 hours. Then we were presented with a 1 line bill - sprinkler repair $1,000. We asked for details and the next itemization showed labor at $120/hr and hiked parts cost. So basically, they jacked up prices to meet the $1000 estimate. We have paid the bill, but I want other angie's list users to know about the experience. All I can say is that is has been a couple of weeks and the sprinkler system is working. So if your time means nothing to you and money is no object, then this is the provider for you!

On Tuesday, my husband called Mia?s to see if they could fix a sprinkler system leak. They said that someone would come out between 8:00 and 8:30 A.M. Wednesday; they showed up around 8:20. The technician looked at the system and said that there was probably a leak in the main line for the sprinkler system. He said to leave the water turned on at the cutoff valve and to turn the sprinklers off at the timer box so that he could find the leak when he returned between 4:00 and 5:00 P.M. The technician did not return that afternoon as promised and did not call to say that he would be late or to reschedule. My husband called later that evening and left a message. My husband called Mia?s at 8:15 A.M. Thursday morning and they said that a technician would come out at 10:00 A.M. Again, the technician never showed and never called. My husband called again around 12:15. The person at Mia?s said ?the crew didn?t show up? I?ll call you right back?. He never called back. My husband called back around 1:45 and left a message telling them that he would get someone else and not to bother coming back. My husband went to run some errands and my son called him a few minutes after 2:00 to say that the guys from Mia?s were at the house. My husband called Mia?s again and reiterated that their services were no longer needed.

They were able to fit us in the next day, arrived on time and were very professional. Repaired the issues we had, looked at the rest of the system and offered a suggestion for our pool, which we will be calling them back for.

They responded within 1 hour to my call because I had a leak. Very fast service most people take a week to schedule! Fixed everything very good service.
