Description of Work: We had moisture that came in at the door threshold and had damaged the sheet-rock. We needed someone to look at this and replace the sheet-rock.

Description of Work: Leak through the ceiling. The ceiling exposed 2-3 ft by 5 inches. I can see the osb /plywood somehow rotting but not the struts.

Description of Work: We hired KCK services for a roof repair (leak) in July of 2011. Being that we actually live out of state, we choose KCK for this job because we were promised that all work was guaranteed and he offered what we thought of at the time to be a very good price. KCK performed the repair in a timely manner, however, not appropriately because a few weeks later ( when the rain began again) the roof again began to leak from the same exact area. We reported the leak to KCK who returned and nailed some metal shields to our roof. The next rainy day came around and once again the same area leaked. We again contacted KCK who stated that his guarantee was only for one return visit...BUT... when he was out there the second time , he noticed that the actual problem was that the tar paper was not correctly applied to the roof. It was then that he notified me that he could repair the true problem (the tar paper) but we would need to pay him $800 for that, meaning that he would end up charging us $1100.00 for an $800.00 job. This naturally made me very angry. When I questioned him concerning the guarantee and the reason I should be be expected to pay for the fact that he miss diagnosed the initial problem and essentially fixed nothing and charged me $300 to do it, he said, "you know,I don't like your tone and furthermore, I really don't feel like working for you anymore." As if I was even considering the thought of giving him one more cent for his very business practices. Ultimately he(KCK) refused to return my money for fixing nothing and refused to finish the job which we paid for under guarantee. He was extremely unprofessional to speak with on the phone and when I called him initially he would not admit to who he (Charles Kelly) was until I identified myself and even then was reluctant to admit his identity. This seemed quite strange to me since I was calling the number listed for his business, it made it seem as if hiding from the complaints of others as well. I would consider very carefully before trusting this man to do any repairs.
