They did me very wrong. He came out to measure and order the sliding glass door for the enclosure. He had to have money upfront. He had to have $2500 because he had to order the doors. He came out and kind of started a little bit, after I gave him the money. He did a terrible job of putting up one side. He didn't even put a weather barrier or anything. The rain came in and everything. He said that he needed another thousand to replace an order. He kept telling me the glass doors would be in within two weeks. Two weeks came and left, months left. The person he order the glass doors went was in jail. The owner did not know about the order. I had given approximately $4000, because I trusted him. The only reason I trusted him is because he did work for me six months prior. He contacted me only one time. He said the doors would be delivered to my house on an exact date and they never came. The only reason why I gave him the job because he needed the work, and the money. We had a valid contract that he broke.
Description of Work: He was supposed to do a patio enclosure.

His price was reasonable and he was competitive with other people. He did a good job and he came back to check on it; he changed the color of the painting and things like that. It took him a day or two for the work. He did the dining room and the kitchen. He got it done when he said he would. He did a good work. I don?t have much comparison with the price but I was happy with it. He is a busy guy but he got here pretty close to what he said and he was usually here when he said he would be here. He was very professional.
Description of Work: I used JML Remodeling. I had him for some remodelling work. He did some texture and painting. He did the wall paper.

JML Remodeling (John Lucas, Plano Texas area) REVIEW: I had hired John Lucas of JML Remodeling to work on my master bathroom including demo and retiling and was left very unhappy. The project was split into two jobs and working with him progressively got more difficult. I let him know ahead of time that I expected an exceptional job. The first job involved redoing just the stand-in shower including tile work. I was disappointed with how his worker had cut the tiles and that he would proceed to install chipped tiles in the shower. After I pointed out what needed to be redone and it was fixed, I felt that I was at least left with a job I could live with. During the second job, which involved redoing the tub, tile and floor is when things became very trying. John was constantly calling to reschedule, usually because he had other jobs to go to or bid. I felt disregarded especially after I had given him half the money up front to complete my job. There were 2 days where I was not available due to work constraints. When he and his workers were present, I was glad that his new worker was excellent at cutting tile, but I felt that his installation was a bit sloppy. I asked that the flow of the tiles be flush with each other, but various pieces were put in differently which was pretty apparent. Since I was able to monitor the progress of the work, I often asked John questions or explained what it is exactly that I wanted done. He often responded with a child-like attitude. But the most dramatic turn happened after I had waited all day for someone to show up that he scheduled to float the ceiling that never did. That evening I received an email after 9 p.m. explaining that the man hired was sick and that John had lost my number. All of the correspondence John and I have had via email had my phone number in it and I felt that the complete lack of contact from anyone that day was extremely unprofessional. I replied and stated that I did assume he blew me off and that I would happy with the bathroom when the ceiling was completed, I then received a shocking email: “Nobody is trying to blow you off. Believe me I am trying to finish ASAP so I don’t ever have to come back again. You’ve obviously lost confidence in me and I don’t need to work for you anymore.” I was completely taken aback. The next day I called him to ask when someone could come out to fix two of the floor tiles that broke only a couple days after being installed. When he returned my call we spoke and then he literally began yelling at me over the phone. I put it on speaker so that those in my house could hear because I was in such disbelief. I had never dealt with someone so rude and patronizing. The whole ordeal was so appalling that I had no choice but to end it and seek out true professionals who were capable of completing the work. Though I was glad that I could get most of my bathroom completed through all of this, his complete lack of professionalism and tact has left me where I cannot in good faith recommend his services to anyone. I would use much caution if considering him to do work for you.
