Josh Gallini (Gallini Construction -- hired by Royal Marquis Properties, who is also an extremely bad company to do business with) was hired to do a full remodel of my home. This included all new flooring throughout the house, painting, removing old ceiling texture and replacing it, new trim throughout the home, new exterior doors, new hardware throughout the home, landscaping, paving, and a full kitchen remodel. This was a NIGHTMARE REMODEL from the very beginning. Josh Gallini (Gallini Construction) promised a 6-8 week remodel. He brought in unskilled labor that did an unimaginably poor job in virtually every aspect of their work. For example, they painted AROUND the pictures on my walls (seriously) and they also painted OVER light switches and outlet cover plates. They did absolutely NO surface prep before painting, and as a result paint later fell off of the walls in sheets. The didn't move/cover my furniture or other belongings properly before scraping ceilings or painting, so all of my things ended up getting paint all over them, and many things were broken and/or lost (or possibly stolen). They did not follow the instructions that were included with the five new doors they were to install -- the instructions specified that the pre-hung doors should be installed AS A UNIT. Instead, they removed the doors from the frames, tried to install the frames (which ended up not being plumb, square, or level), and then they tried to install the doors into the (improperly installed) frames. When they were "finished", none of the (exterior) doors would shut or latch properly, and they had gaps so big that you could see daylight through them! I ended up with five doors that had to be totally removed (by another contractor who was actually competent), and rehung. Two of the doors had to be completely replaced with new doors, as they were so botched up that they could not be salvaged. I could go on and on and on for days, describing how poorly the work was done, but it makes me so mad to think about it, I'd rather not go through all of the details. Suffice it to say that, in my informed opinion, Josh Gallini (Gallini Construction) used unskilled labor in order to bolster his profits, at my expense. He worked on the remodel for almost 5 months (from Oct 2010 to Feb. 2011), mostly because the work was so poorly done that he kept having to fire his workers, bring in new workers, and redo all of the work that was done incorrectly (please note that the job was supposed to take 6-8 weeks). I ended up having to hire additional contractors to come in after Josh Gallini's people left, and I had to pay to have most of the work they had provided TOTALLY REDONE! As I said, it was a total nightmare. My advice to you is to avoid Josh Gallini (Gallini Construction) at all costs!!!
Description of Work: Screwed up everything he touched.
