I had problems with some light switches. I found the company as it's near my house. I called, Roger answered and he offered to come over the same day. That didn't work for me so we met the next morning. We agreed on work and price and we met later in the day. Work was fast and inexpensive. Roger is great and I'll recommend him to everyone I know in the area.

The entire experience was quick and easy. I called for an estimate on Tuesday and the technician returned my call the same day. We tentatively scheduled something for Wednesday or Thursday. He called on Wednesday to confirm an 8:00 time on Thursday. He showed up on time and was out of the house in two hours. Quick and easy.

He worked the entire time he was at my house for two hours and was friendly. I would use Freedom Electric again.

I was not there but had my friend at the house while Roger did the work. I was very pleased with the work he did, the timeliness and the price. I will definitely use him again.

Great experience with Freedom Electric. Came out to the property as promised, was very professional, and pricing is very competitive. He was able to add two new outlets on my patio without any issues. The workmanship was great. He had to break through a couple bricks to create the new outlets but did so without damaging anything else around. I will most definitely call Freedom for my next electrical work.

Electrician answered the phone, and indicated he was busy, but would call back in 20 minutes. Did not call back, but we decided to wait on doing the repairs until cooler weather, as no electrician is going to want to be crawling around in an attic that's 130 degrees :-)

I moved into a new commercial space and the landlord had not kept the power on. When I and my coworker each called the Development Office of the City of McKinney on two separate occasions, they each time stated in order to have my power turned on I would need an electrician to file a permit to check the meter, then after doing so the City would release the meter to the power company. Roger worked me in next day, checked my meter and went down to the city to get a permit and make sure he was still current on his registration. When down there he talked to the head guy, Joey, and discovered that I actually did not need a permit since I was doing no electrical work (no fixtures, plugs, etc). He found out all I had to do was get my certificate of occupation (C/O) and the city would release my meter to the power company. The City tells him if I want to pay to have a permit I could (of course) even though I was having no work done. Roger, instead of taking advantage of the situation and filing a permit and charging me for his services that were not technically required, relayed to me the correct information that the city should have given on the two occasions I called them. He just asked me to cover his gas for the drive to my store. I scheduled and passed my C/O inspection and Ameripower had the power turned on the next business day. This caused a small delay in opening my business, not to mention remodeling in the heat over the weekend, to have an electrician come out and need to do nothing (thank you City of McKinney). Thank you more Roger for your honesty and not taking advantage of me. You will now be the only electrician I ever use. I owe you.

I was very impressed with how quickly he completed the task. I appreciated the fact that he asked if I needed anything else and that reminded me about the smoke detector battery.

The intended job was to replace the fluorescent light ballast on 14' ceiling. He suggested upgrading the 30 year old fluorescent bulb style to the newer and smaller longer-lasting bulbs, since access to my 14' ceilings is difficult. We already knew that some older plastic parts of the light cover were yellow and brittle, and some were cracked. So the technician found replacements to make everything work and look good. Finished what we asked for quickly with no further issues. Did not do work beyond what we had agreed to.

Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming!! That's what I said to my husband when he told me about the experience with Roger, from Freedom Electric. I was in the house, but was busy doing other things and did not get to meet Roger, or see him at work, but my husband told me the whole story. My husband called Roger on Thursday and he told us he could come do the work the next day, in the afternoon. We were remodeling our kitchen and Roger had been out a few weeks earlier, because we thought we were going to have to do some rewiring, prior to installing our new double wall oven. Thankfully, Roger said the wiring was fine as it was and charged us nothing for the visit. Roger showed up early Friday afternoon, as promised. He removed our old single wall oven and began modifying our cabinet to accomodate the larger double wall oven. He was meticulous and precise in measuring and took great pains to make sure the opening was perfectly level and just the right size. He carefully installed the 250+ pound oven, hooked it up, and made sure it worked properly. Then, he added a new light switch on the outside of one of our kitchen walls, since our new monsterous fridge covered up the old light switch. He then repaired a non-working light switch in our hallway. My husband said Roger was diligent and worked non-stop the whole time. I'm not sure exactly how long Roger was here, but I know it must have been close to 3 hours, or more. Even though my husband didn't get an estimate from Roger prior to the work being performed (which he probably should have), we anticipated the cost being around $500. So, when Roger handed my husband the bill for $218, my husband said he almost had to sit down. He couldn't believe it cost so little to do so much. Nowadays, it's not the norm to get a licensed, skilled, and honest professional to do fantastic quality work for such an unbelievably low cost. As long as we live here, Roger and Freedom Electric will be who we call with any and all future electrical needs. Plus, we will highly recommend Freedom Electric to all our friends and family....without hesitation.

Fantastic and very surprising experience! I called Freedom Electric and set up an appointment for 2 days after my call. We are remodeling our kitchen and thought we were for sure going to need some rewiring and circuit breaker work done for our new electric cooktop. Roger arrived 5 minutes early and right off the bat I was pleased and impressed with his courteous and friendly manner. After telling Roger that I thought there was going to be a problem with the old wiring and circuit breaker for our new cooktop, he assessed the situation and to my complete surprise and relief, Roger said the current electrical situation for our new cooktop was ok and that nothing needed to be done. Now, I don't know about you, but for me this was a first! To call a repair service company of any kind and be told nothing needed to be done simply doesn't happen...at least not in my experience. Not only did I get that good news, but Roger would not accept a penny....not even for the service call. Granted, I told him that after our granite countertops are installed and we get ready to install our new electrical appliances, we would definitely give him a call, so that may have influenced the "no charge" service call, but I was still shocked that there was no charge. Also, I asked Roger if we had needed new wiring and circuit breaker, what would he have charged and when he told me, I was shocked again! It was much, much less than what I had expected. This is the type of business that I thought no longer existed! We will for sure use Freedom Electric to install our new appliances, plus any other electrical issues that may arise in the future. And, I will not have to go through the hassle of getting bids from other electrical companies, as I know I would have to search far and wide to find another as honest, reasonably priced, and professional as Freedom Electric/Roger!

Roger arrived promptly for both the estimate appointment and installation. Compared to others who provided an estimate, his overall solution was superior, meeting our additional lighting needs better and providing easier control of the lighting and existing ceiling fan/light. Roger performed the work efficiently. His skill is apparent in the quality of the alignment/placement of the recessed lights relative to the existing position of the ceiling fan. The end result was exceptional from both visual and control perspectives.

It was a total rescue. The dryer repairman that came by earlier today identified the problem as the breaker. I called Freedom Electric and they came right out on the 23rd of December. I realize that it isn't realistic to expect that 100% of the time but that he was willing to come out and replace the breaker for a fair price plus having to deal with me only by phone as my son handed it to him. I'll be a return customer for certain.

We had a breaker that would not reset. I called and Mr Davis answered the phone and gave me an honest estimate of what might be wrong. He came out to our place of business and replaced the defective breaker. His charge was fair and he completed the work quickly. We have been searching for an honest electrician that we could depend on to take care of our needs. We will place him at the top of the list and use him in the future.

He came out and gave a written estimate first. He was punctual and the estimate was detailed. We set up an appointment for him to return and do the work. Again he was punctual and completed the task in the amount of time estimated. Later, several weeks, I had an issue with one of the new outlets. He came out on a staturday and replaced it at no charge.

Promised to arrive around 8:00am to provide an estimate to move wall switches for a home office remodel. Never showed and never called.

It was a very pleasant experience working with Roger. I was able to get an appointment immediately for an estimate. He had to come home at least 3 times to work around the schedule of another contractor, which he did. Good price compared to other contractors, and did a clean professional job. When installing the fan , I requested him to balance the fan which he did. Have recommended hime to my other friends.

Roger was on-time for the estimate which was free. He detailed what would be done and the cost. Upon acceptance of the contract, Roger was on-time, did a very professional installation, cleaned up and was on his way.

He came out three times: The first visit (April 19th), he took a look at all of the work that needed to be done. The second visit (April 26th & 27th) was to complete the work. Overall, the experience was great. He arrived exactly on time at each appointment. He was nice and friendly, yet he did what he was supposed to do. He was also really flexible with the plans and made everything work. The lights turned out great. I'm happy with his services.

The electrician checked it out and found that he could pull supply wire up, cut off the offending wires, reconnect, and in less than an hour, it was all fixed.

This is the third time I have used Freedom Electric. Each time they have come out more quickly than expected (the next day in this case) and done the work quickly and without problem. In this case they did not have the parts on their truck and quickly located the correct ballasts. Great job!

I called Roger at Freedom Electric for a bid for the described work. He showed up as scheduled that afternoon for a site survey. He was unable to provide an on-site estimate at that time and promised to call me the next morning. The next morning: no call. I called him the following (two days later) afternoon. He replied, "Oh, yeah, I was supposed to call you yesterday" and promised a call the next morning. That morning: no call. When he finally did call that afternoon with a price, I told him that my experiences so far were not positive and that we would not proceed with the bid/install. He politely replied, "OK, thanks" and disconnected. I had no confidence that the actual work would be performed when (and if) agreed based on these experiences.

I was pleased they could come out the next day. I was in a rush since I had a new tenant coming into a rent home the next week. I was happy with the overall service, and pricing was very reasonable.
