He didn't call me back when he was supposed to, and he had to reschedule at the last minute. However, he did do a good job of installing the ceiling fan for a great price. I got the impression that he wasn't too interested in the business he got from the Angie's List deal.

Roger was able to out to the house the next day to solve the problem with electricity and changed the plug receptacle. We had contractors working in the house and when they ran into a problem, Roger came right out to help. I had him come back and change out 3 light fixtures. Great work, fair price. I only wish I would have know of this company many years earlier when I needed an electrician!

I requested Freedom to add GFCI protection to three outlets in my garage a week ago. Roger showed up 1 1/2 hour late. It took him less than 15 minutes to do the job and I was charged $85. He did not have change, so he give me $5 off at the end.

Everything installed just the way I wanted it!

Roger was professional, efficient, and personable. I purchased the big deal 2 hours of electrical services for $150 which I wanted to use to repair a broken closet light fixture, change my dryer electrical socket, install a ceiling fan, and possibly install pantry closet lights and an extra electrical plug in my garage. He knocked out the broken closet fixture, dryer socket, and ceiling fan in no time, and I still had over an hour of time left on my big deal purchase. We agreed to continue on another day so that he could buy the other components he needed to do the other things I wanted to have done. My big deal leftover time was applied on the 2nd day of work and everything was completed to satisfaction.

I purchased a "deal" for 2 hours of electrical service on May 11th. I emailed Roger with a detailed description on the work I needed to get done, and had to follow up with a phone call on Monday May 13th. He told me he would come out on Friday the 17th in the morning, he didn't show up, so I had to call him to check the status, at first he didn't remember who I was then he told me he had some things come up and he would come back on Monday the 20th. He did finally come out and look at the work I needed to get done, it wasn't going to take up the entire 2 hours so I showed him another small project I wanted to have completed. He said he could do it, however, he didn't have the equipment for it and he would come back on the 24th. He came back on the 24th and completed the initial work, (took about 20 min) The he told me the light fixture I had would not be a good option and he could order something from his supply house, and of course he would have to come back on Friday the 31st. He never showed up and when I called again he acted like he didn't know who I was. I had to explain the whole project again, he couldn't make it on the Friday because of some emergency, but he said he would call me Monday (yesterday) (week of 6-3) to schedule a time to come back. I am not very happy.....

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well.

I would like to state first that this review is overdue. I've used Roger in the past and found his work to be nothing short of top shelf. During this visit, he knocked out the "list" of electrical work very quickly and efficiently. He made thoughtful suggestions regarding the location of of the new outlet. He picked up after himself and worked around the items in the house (like curtains & a TV) with care. I have nothing but great things to say! In short, he has been the only electrician I've used in this house (I've been here 3+ years) and he will be the only electrician that I will use and recommend to my friends.

I purchased the 2 hour Big Deal for electrical service and had first contacted this electrician in 2012. He came to the house to look at the work I needed done for the purpose of providing an estimate. I never heard back from him, and ended up using another electrician for some of the work. But since I had paid for the Big Deal, I gave him another chance and called back in January with some smaller jobs and again asked about some additional work. He was very efficient and fast in fixing two flourescent lights and an outdoor light. He also comes when he says he will. Again he said he would follow up about the additional work and try to perform it within a week But again, I never heard back about the additional work. At this point, I just gave up and have been using another electrician who does excellent work and is very responsive. Failure to follow up is the reason for the lower rating in responsiveness and the overall B rating for Freedom Electric. Perhaps this electrician had too many Big Deal responses; I'm not sure why there was no follow up on the two occasions I cited. But I will say that except for cleaning services, I'm not a fan of Big Deal offers for trades such as plumbers and electricians. It's difficult to gauge how long the work will take, and for me each time, the jobs have been so simple that I've lost money by paying for more time than I needed in the Big Deal offer. I won't be purchasing any more Big Deal offers for electrical services.

There were very knowledgeable on the phone and gave a basic price. Very professional. I ended up doing the work my self for a 1/3 of the price.

My husband purchased new stereo equipment. The equipment draws quite a bit of current. He wanted to replace the electrical outlet with an outlet that is specifically for hospital equipment use. He also wanted to have that outlet made a dedicated outlet, so the stereo will be on a stand alone breaker at the box. Kevin, from Freedom Electric came to the house and gave me a quote for that work. I also discussed having our outdoor floodlights put on a timer. He told me that he can do that, and would provide the switch. We spoke about installing motion detectors on floodlights on the corners of our house. He told me that I could purchase LED motion detector floodlights at Costco for a very good price, and that he could install them for us. Kevin came out the following week to do the work. He changed the outlet, ran conduit on the outside of the house from the outlet in the living room, and ran it through the attic into the breaker box at the garage. He installed the timer switch for the outdoor lights, and programmed the switch for me. He left the directions, and showed me how to change the programming for the switch. He took off the old corner floodlights and replaced them with the new LED motion detector floodlights. He cleaned up his mess, and went on his way.

Roger was very efficient at responding to our phone inquiry, his work was done efficiently and beautifully. Would definitely recommend Freedom Electric, and in fact will be calling Roger for additional work.

Use a big deal. Called and scheduled. they were prompt as promised. very pleased with the work of adding addtl plugs in the garage on their on circuit.

I saw the reviews for this company and thought the service would be good. But I called him to come out and give me an estimate that required a good deal of work. I never received an estimate and called him a few days later. He said he would get me something soon. Its been a week and still nothing, not a call or e-mail. I think the company is too busy or the work may have been over his head.

When I called Roger, he was speaking with another customer and told me he would call me back in 15-20 minutes which he did. I asked him what he would charge to replace a Federal Pacific breaker panel. He said $1,200.00. That was all I needed to hear based on the glowing reports he gets from everyone who has ever used him on Angie's List. We discuseed the other items I needed to have him do, and he told me he would give me a firm price once he had assessed what would be required of him to complete each item. We established the day/time he would arrive to do the work, and he was prompt. He is professional and likes to get straight to work. He gave me a firm price of $1,750 to do everything on my list which was, to me, a very good deal. He completed the work in about 6 hours, all to my satisfaction. I will definitely use him again and have already referred him to several people.

It was a very good service. I had something that was a little bit nonstandard and he listened to me, consulted with me and gave me a couple of options. They worked hard to get the work done. I just felt like he paid attention. He knew his stuff. I could definitely tell that he was experienced.

His pricing was outstanding, and he was able to come out quickly. He did great work, the only issue was, one of the globes was dropped but he cleaned it up and even offered to pay for it and he came back for no additional charge to install.

Called Freedom Electric to schedule some electrical repairs. Rodger came out within three days of our call, worked quickly, and had all repairs done in an hour.

Freedom Electric arrived at the agreed upon time, installed and adjusted the first fan in a preexisting fixture. The second fan required an electrical connection at an additional cost per the big deal agreement. No problems were encountered and the fans appear to be installed correctly and are working properly.

Roger worked fast and I will use him again for my electrical needs in the future.

The carpenter was already here installing cabinets so I needed someone quick. I found Freedom Electric on Angies List and they were the first ones I called. Roger (owner) personally answered my call. I explained my situation and that I needed him to be here sooner than later today. He was happy to fit me into his schedule. He was about to start another job and stated he should get to me just after lunch. He called about 11:30 to let me know if was on his way. The fix took about 20 minutes. I really appreciate that Roger was so willing to help me out. Price was on the low end of what he quoted. Very reasonable.

Electrician showed up and was given an overview of work performed. He was able to get the work done within the defined timeframe without issue.
