I called Roger, the electrician who is listed as the owner of this business. I needed motion detector lights installed, and he quoted me a price and set a time on Friday morning "first thing" to come and install them. He never showed up or called. I waited all morning. I called him and he said he was stuck on a job, and could he come on Monday. I said no, Tuesday is better. So he took my name, address, and phone number again (!) and said he'll see me on Tuesday. Well, Tuesday came and went and he did not call or show up. It's hard to rate someone when they don't even show up for the job and are given two opportunities to do so! If the job was too small he should have told me that and let me find a reliable person. Never again.

All of the above tasks were completed as requested.

They did a great job. They are very professional, fast and efficient and clean. I would use them again.

I used a $150 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were good. I had to pay an additional $100 over the deal price. They came out about two weeks after I purchased the Big Deal. They were very punctual about coming on time, identifying the problem and fixing it. The owner who came out actually told me what I should do by going to Home Depot to get an additional light fixture. He told me he would put it in for me. So he went over and beyond.

It went very well. He did a great job and I was very satisfied. He had to go off and order a part and I think it took a couple of weeks to get in.

In our den, the light fixture was broken. I was afraid we might have an electrical short. They came and took down the old fixture and replaced everything. We also had an issue in our laundry room. The fixture was flickering on and off. He replaced the fixture successfully. He worked very quickly and he was very generous with his knowledge and expertise.

He replaced a dimmer switch. We had a problem with a circuit outside and they fixed it for us and didn't charge any extra. He's real good and I would definitely recommend him.

I bought the $80 ceiling fan installation, and decided to have a bathroom light fixture replaced as well (additional $25). He arrived even a few minutes early and completed both in a very timely manner. Very friendly and did a great job.

We liked him he was fair quick and everything went fantastic, we will use him for any electrical needs in the future

Although I purchased this big deal months ago, the provider offered no expiration date, so I could still get my service done. Excellent! When I called the person who answered the phone was ready to schedule me that week, which was really nice that they could fit me in with all their other jobs. The provider came out bright and early on the day we agreed, and made quick work of the ceiling fan. He cleaned up the work area and did a great job. Very pleasant experience.

I called Roger, who is the owner of Freedom Electric, on 07/18/2013 to inquire about getting two ceiling fans installed in my home. Roger advised me that the price would be $150 total, which I felt was a reasonable price. I confirmed with Roger that I wanted the installation completed at the earliest possible time. Roger advised me that he would be able to install the fans on 07/23/2013 after lunchtime. I asked him for a more exact time and Roger advised me that he had already scheduled two jobs for Tuesday morning and he would complete mine after he had completed those jobs. I understood and locked-in the appointment. On 07/22/2013, since I had not heard from Roger since making the initial appointment, I contacted (called) him to confirm that he was scheduled to complete my ceiling fan install on 07/23/2013. Roger again confirmed with me that he would arrive after lunch on 07/23/2013 to complete the installation. He also advised that he would call me prior to coming to my home to let me know that he was on his way. On 07/23/2013 at approximately 3:30pm, I had not heard from Roger nor had he shown up to install the ceiling fans. I called Roger, he answered, and I asked him did he still plan to install my ceiling fans. Based on his response and tone it was immediately apparent to me that Roger had forgotten all about installing my ceiling fans, and even advised me that he was in Allen, which is the home location of his business. I asked him if he had forgotten about our appointment and he stuttered and mumbled that he was stuck on a job and that was why he had not made it to my home. He said that he could come to my house at that time. Roger never made any attempts to call me to let me know that he was running behind schedule. I was totally upset about the fact that after calling him the day prior and confirming the install that he would forget that he had scheduled an appointment with me. Also, because I was unable to be present, I had asked another family member if he could stay at my home and wait for Roger because Roger was so adamant that he would be at my home after lunchtime for the install. My family member actually took the day off work to wait for Roger and while he could have been doing other things, he sat around my house for 4 hours and Roger never showed up. As a matter of fact, it wasn't until my family member called me that I realized that Roger had not made it to my home, because I assumed that he had arrived and was completing the install. While speaking with Roger on the phone he requested my information again and I provided him with my address. Roger arrived at my home at approximately 4pm. Roger completed the install of both ceiling fans. Both fans look great as he did an excellent job of installing them. However, that does not excuse the fact that he forgot about my installation appointment. I don't feel that I should ever force anyone to take money from me and the only reason that I allowed Roger to complete the work was because I did not want to find someone else to do the job at a later time. I read Roger's reviews on the list prior to choosing him and figured he was the right person for the job. A first impression is a lasting one and I believe that Roger needs to be better organized so something like this does not happen in the future. I do NOT plan to use his services again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He was fine. he had to come back out. He started leaving and I had to call him back because he didn't have something done correctly.

Showed up on time. Very professional and courteous. Explained the problem and repaired and didn't charge me for new GFI.

he ended up checking the whole house out for me. found a couple other issues with switches and repaired. extremely nice and courteous guy. very helpful. he was on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. He was very professional. When he was running late, he called me that he was running late. But he came out and got right to doing what he needed to do and he was done in a couple of hours.

Roger made some good suggestions and his work was quality. He did not clean up at all. We would have liked it if he would have explained to my wife what he did and demonstrate.

Badly. Sloppy appearance. Wrong information on a panel replacement. Didn't even look outside to see how house was wired to city lines. Very little conversation or suggestions. Invoice didn't even have an address on it.

Roger was late, but did call to let me know. He worked efficiently and completed the job quickly. All work was done correctly and everything worked properly. I would use Freedom Electric again.

Please see above. My only issue with him was a lack of professionalism in taking my name , phone number, and address to call me back. When I would call him back to check on the appointment I had to repeat the same information and each time he asked me what I needed done. This occurred weekly for about 5 weeks. I finally called him the night before an appointment to ensure he was coming the next day.

He didn't come when he said he would come (which happens to everyone) but he didn't call me when 3 Oclock came to let me know he was running late. A call to inform me what is going on would be nice. He did call me about 3:30 to let me know he would be there in half an hour, and that he was just starting to my house (which meant he would be over an hour late). When I reminded him that he had said 3:00 pm , he denied that he had said that, but I had it written right in my calender! I know things come up, but why can't people like this just call you as soon as they realize that they are going to be more than 10 minutes late to an appointment? It keeps everyone more accountable.. Anyway, there were no problems with the service. He was professional and efficient. I have needed a lot of services in this house because we just bought it 6 months ago. I am TIRED of waiting for service people to come and then not being accountable for their own tardiness. I do realize that things come up, but just let me know what is going on. Be resposible. Be a groon up!
