Description of Work: I purchased a deal for an electrician for 2 hours of electrical work for $150. We were going to have him come and switch out switches and give us advice on some low voltage boxes we have in our home. He arrived on time, however upon showing him what we needed, he said "I dont know nothing about that" and said we would need to call someone else. I asked if he could help me figure out how I could wire switches to make them work, and he again said we would have to call someone else. He left after being at our house for 10 minutes without any advice or help. I wanted to see if I was able to get a refund, as he provided no service at all, much less helped for the 2 hours his deal was for.

Description of Work: Roger game with swiftness at a great price! 2 new ceiling fans, chandler , trac lighting, dimmer switch, and hallway light with in 2 hours. I will use him again! Although he puts bigger priorities first, he is worth the wait.

Description of Work: They did not perform any work, so it is hard to provide a rating. He was nice on the phone. I unfortunately had to cancel the appointment with him.

Description of Work: We were so pleased with Freedom Electric when they installed two fans, we had them return and install two more.

Description of Work: I left an urgent e-mail with several electricians after I discovered I could not properly install my smoke doctors without setting them off. We were in the process of selling our home and an inspector was coming the next day. I left the e- mails on a Sunday fully expecting that I would not hear from any of the electricians I had e-mailed. Roger called me about an hour after I made my request. He asked me what the problem was. We discussed the wires and how I had hooked them up to the electricity. He verified that I had done it correctly. He then told me that some times you have to let the smoke detectors go off until they reset themselves. He said to turn the electricity on and wait for around 30 seconds and then the alarm may stop. After 32 seconds the alarm stopped. I was then able to wire two more detectors with no issues. All were hooked properly with the appropriate indicators. Roger helped me resolve the problem as a courtesy. Its nice to find someone who has integrity and is ethical. In the future, when I need an electrician, I'll definitely give Freedom a call.

Description of Work: We had 2 ceiling fans installed @ $75/fan. The electrician was very courteous and professional. He assembled and installed both fans in under an hour. Great value to get a certified electrician for the service!!

Description of Work: We recently had a new ceiling fan installed by a local handyman. There was a what appeared to be a short in the switch. The handyman replaced the switch but the light and fan would still only come on sporadically. I reviewed the electricians I found on Angie's List and decided to contact Freedom Electric. When I called, Roger told me he had just finished a job in the area and he could come right over. He came and within 10 minutes had located the problem in the fan, not the switch. He repaired it immediately and now it works perfectly. If I ever need an electrician again, I will definitely contact Freedom Electric.

Description of Work: Replaced a deficient breaker box(Pacifica tel?) On time and in three hours. Everything works well and he was a source of additional information on other electrical questions. Very personable and knows what he is doing. Tom Buntyn

Description of Work: I called Freedom @ 7:30AM on a Monday to report that I had miswired a programmable lite timer in my garage and that, even though circuit breakers were all ok, power in the garage was out, including power to a refrigerator/freezer. Roger Davis showed up at 12:30P and quickly diagnosed the problem and installed the new timer I had purchased. Power was restored by 1:00. While he was here I asked him to install an exterior outlet. He did that too -seemingly within a matter of minutes. Total bill--$115.00 !!! I would not have been surprised if it had been double that. This about the best service I've had at my home over the past 20+ years.

Description of Work: Roger Davis, Freedom Electric, was contracted to replace a GFCI switch, hang 4 light fixtures, 1 ceiling fan & 1 outside motion detector light. (Sorry, I had already typed this before I saw the bottom box for the full story.) His scheduled time to be at my home was 9:00 am. He called around 8:30 am to let me know he didn't have a part for one of the ceiling fixtures but would try to locate it before he came out. He was able to locate the part but didn't arrive at my house until 12:00 noon. I didn't understand why he waited until the installation date to locate the parts necessary. He had given me an estimate 2 weeks prior & had enough time to prepare. Upon arrival, we went back over what was to be done. He had forgotten about the outside light he was to bring. All other work was accomplished professionally. Roger adjusted the price to reflect the forgotten light and promised to return to install it. It has been several weeks and I have not heard back from him. Roger was very pleasant to work with but just seemed distracted. I hope this was a one time experience.

Description of Work: We lost the use of lights and electrical sockets after replacing our own bathroom lights. Rodney was able to go back into the wiring and fix what we had missed. He was fast and efficient and explained the issue which we could fix ourselves in the future if we replace additional lighting in our home.

Description of Work: Asked to increase amperage in a circuit. He said it could not be done but that replcing the GFCI would help it trip less often
