We just had Alan with Dallas Door replace the thresholds and weatherstripping on both our front and back door, as well as align them. Alan is very meticulous and knowledgeable in his work and checked the doors multiple times to make sure everything was right. He is great at communicating and kept me informed at each step of the process. He was very careful in our house and cleaned everything up after the job. Our doors have not worked and looked this good in years. We are very pleased and happy to recommend Dallas Door.

Alan did a fantastic job rehanging our front door. Going from hot and dry to cold and wet during the fall caused our house to shift and we couldn't properly lock our door for months. Alan came and fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes for a great price. I'll definitely use him again in the future if I need his services.

Alan was simply amazing. He arrived on the dot to give me an estimate and was able to come out in just a few days to fix both doors. He worked with my schedule and arrived with all the necessary parts to finish both doors quickly. I really have to appreciate his honesty since there was a part that he thought he would have to replace but, when he saw that replacement was unnecessary, he promptly removed the charge for the item. I certainly would have had no clue if it had been replaced or not so I truly appreciate his strong work ethic. These doors have been problematic since we bought this house over a decade ago and multiple handymen tried to 'fix them'. Our area has a lot of foundation movement and doors are a constant issue. Alan managed to get them working smoothly and locking securely in a way that they never did before! Both doors have no leaks or drafts anymore and his work looks very professional. In sum, not only do I recommend him highly, but I will be calling him back in the future when the need arises.

Alan was WONDERFUL!!!!! He was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, conscientious, and hard-working. I couldn't be more pleased. A couple of years ago I had French patio doors installed by general contractors, which was a mistake! Some things need to be left to specialists, of which Alan is definitely one! My left French patio door sagged, and therefore wouldn't lock. He immediately understood the problem and how to correct it. He showed me what had been done wrong in the first place, part of which couldn't be undone. But he knew how to fix the issue by working with the other door. He also brought the doors closer together so that air wouldn't seep through, as it had been (at one point the wind was blowing the doors open!), and installed some plates. Now my doors open, close, and lock better than they have ever done. Alan also took the time to look at my other doors and tell me what needed to be done with them. For ALL that he did, I found him to be very reasonable. I plan to call him back next spring when I purchase a new front door and have him take care of all of those issues. He will definitely be my go-to door guy!

Alan did a great job on everything and also corrected two sticking doors and a "ghosting" door. He responded to my initial email within 24 hours and scheduled the work within a few days. He was on time and extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend his services if you have any issues with doors.

Alan came out today to fix our door that was a total mess. I'm handy, but was lost when it came our front door. Alan gave me options and discussed the pros and cons of each. I felt very comfortable with his knowledge and his opinion. The fix I'd consider good for now, but based on his opinion wouldn't be a smart decision to do anything more complex till we're sure our foundation isn't moving more. Would certainly use him again if needed for fixes or install a new one.

Incredibly well. We knew we could not get a pre hung replacement door do to the custom placement of our front door, we bought a slab door. Since most handyman and contractors don't have the practice or the tools needed to work with slab doors, we were excited to find Dallas Door on Angie's list. Allan was prompt, kind, and did a fantastic job!! The door looks FANTASTIC and swings much better than the previous door. I am going to rehire Alan to repair some weather stripping.

Alan did a perfect job with all new solid core and 10 pane doors true and even in frames, unlike hollow core original builder's doors we were replacing. i looked at various handyman companies that had experience in hanging doors but it seemed even those with A ratings had occasions where workers were sent to jobs for which they weren't prepared; I was inclined towards using Alan from the perception in Angie's.List reviews that he was a one man operation and that I wouldn't end up writing that I noticed afterward that the doors were all hung upside down but at least they matched.(true comment on one company's reviews) Alan came by two weeks ago at lunch time from another job to scope out and bid the work. Two French doors being replaced with glass pane doors were not aligned. Fortunately, this in itself was enough to pursuance me not to attempt the job myself with help from You Tube videos. The next day I had a bid for the four installations and within about a week I had a day scheduled for one week later. Alan treated our house like it was a museum, careful lest he bump something or lay a hinge pin on a table surface without asking first. This eased up somewhat when I explained we don't treat out house like a museum. Even then he was careful to explain if an adjustment would necessitate a stain or paint touch up for which I was grateful. As each adjustment was contemplated to square the doors where the others were not, he was careful to explain the interim steps that could be tried, starting always with the least invasive, both cosmetically and structurally, giving me the opportunity to express my thoughts. He is as patient as he is pleasant and knowledgable. working steadily through a long day it all came together perfectly. We couldn't be happier! I'll plan our next four or six and call him as soon as the doors are prepped. After seeing his painstakingly perfect work I wouldn't think of ruining the final product by trusting myself to do it.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH ALAN'S HONESTY AND PROFESSIONALISM! I have a door that has wood rot in places due to exposure to the elements. Alan came out to see what work I needed and to provide an estimate. A day after coming out to review my needs he contacted me to tell me that he would not be able to help me because the only manufacturer who made the door part needed had stopped making them. He also said that my problem would only return unless the door was protected. . It would have been very easy for Alan to have lied to me and charged me for a less than optimal solution and a problem that would recur. I will definitely contact him once I have the underlying cause of my door problems addressed. Jeff Stubing

Alan did such a great job, I sent him to my parents house to do the same for my parents. It was like a night and day difference... I had air coming through the doors and others said they couldn't weatherstrip it properly because of that... Alan took care of it all perfectly. Great Guy and does great work instead of having people tell you to replace your doors.

Alan is a professional and certainly knows what he is doing. He is not trying to sell anything (doors, etc.) and is there to fix it if possible. I recommend him and will use his services again if the need arises.

Fantastic. Would hire again. Great communication throughout the day as I was away at work and not at the house. Had 2 new doors replaced. 5-6 doors that were realigned. My doors have never closed since we moved in over 10 years ago and NOW THEY DO! I should have called Alan sooner.
