Ken's team arrived bright and early on the day they said they would which just happened to be the hottest day of the summer thus far. The crew (7 of them) were very professional and litterally poured out every ounce of sweat getting my roof replaced. Ken didn't just dump his crew off and move on either, he was right out there with them cutting the ice & water shield (Storm Guard) into the length and width needed. Ken and crew went the extra mile to address my concerns with water, A/C, gas line placement and proactively removed some decking to find that 4 lines were too close and high risk of getting punctured so they corrected their placement and put new decking down in those places. Ken went the extra mile again when they ran a little short on the High Profile Ridge I had requested. I had chosen a style and color not widely used in the area so it was hard to find but instead of leaving me waiting days or weeks to get more ordered Ken called different places until he found some so that they were able to complete my roof. Ken is one of these people that you say has never met a stranger. He is very personable and really out for your best interest and isn't just one of these storm chasers out to see how many roof jobs they can get after a storm and how much they take the insurance company for. I am extremely pleased with my roof, it looks wonderful and within a couple hours of completion it got its first test with a rain storm and all is dry! Ken at Southern Plains Roofing took the time to explain the benefits of each type of shingles, the pro's and con's of turbine vents, ridge vents etc. He made sure that when we decided on our roof that we were informed consumers. Ken even gave us addresses of different roofs so that we could see what each one looked like installed. A number of my neighbors were having the roof replaced on there homes, I would see 2 or 3 guys working on the roof from sun up to sun down only stopping for the rain (it's November, so North Texas actually gets rain). After my wife and I had finally chosen a roof I contacted Ken and he said they would start that Friday, I explained to Ken it was forecasting rain on Monday and I didn't want my roof uncovered like my neighbors had, Ken assured me that wouldn't be the case. That Friday, his crew showed up, and when I say crew I mean a crew of approximately 15 to 20 guy's that were professional roofers! By 6 pm that day they had removed the old roof, replaced some decking and had my new roof 98% complete. They even ask if I minded if they could go look in the attack to verify the location of my Heat and Air lines to avoid any damage. They came back on Saturday morning finished the roof in about 2 hours, picked up the yard, rolled a large magnet around to make sure they had all the nails. The price was less than the other companies I shopped, the service was beyond expectations.

The overall job was excellent. His crew did quality work in a reasonable amount of time.
