 + -1 moreIt took him 4 days. One to make repairs, two to strip ceiling, 3 to put on new finish, and 4 to paint. I was there the first day and gave him a key after that. He seemed trustworthy! He works alone, which I like, but it takes more time that way. He put plastic around work area every day and removed it every day but still managed to get dust around the house. That is probably impossible to totally avoid, but my wife was mad. I think the price may be too high; maybe I am wrong. I did not get other estimates. He used my paint (I insisted in order to keep color and type the same) and broom to clean up and put the debris in my trash can. He did a fair job of cleaning after himself each day, but we had to give the house a thorough cleaning when finished.
Description of Work: A plumber caused some damage to my ceiling (that will be another report!) plus there was some other wallboard and painting work to do so I hired this guy who was known by the plumber. He patched 5 small areas (biggest about 5 square feet) in ceiling and wall, stripped the hideous popcorn finish from the kitchen ceiling (270 sq. ft.), put on a smoother finish and painted ceiling plus100 sq. ft of wall.
