Over the last 12 years, I've purchased zero-turn lawn mowers, farm tractors, disk harrows, box blades, and more from Bill’s Tractor. I’m disappointed to discover they now act like a large, greedy corporation rather than the friendly country business I once knew and loved. They can try to explain their new policies any way they want, but charging $140 just to transport my old farm tractor less than four miles to repair the clutch seems outrageous. To add insult to injury, the written instructions we passed to the driver stated the tractor should also be tuned-up, but that wasn’t done. No chance I’ll waste another $140 on transportation charges for that tune-up. Need more reason to go elsewhere? On the return trip, the delivery driver left the tractor gas valve full open. On old tractors, that means gas leaks onto the ground, polluting the Earth and wasting expensive gas. By dumb luck, I caught it quickly, but that was the final straw for me. If I’m going to spend that much just to transport my tractor, then other repair shops, even the ones that before seemed kind of far away, now suddenly seem like a bargain. Bill's Tractor has lost my faith -- and my business.
Description of Work: Transport farm tractor less than four miles; repair clutch; transport tractor back to residence. Although written directions were supplied instructing that the tractor also be tuned-up, no tune-up was performed.
