Description of Work: During the storms of May 23 either a lightning strike or power surge fried the circuit board in one of my 3 garage door openers. I tried to take the working circuit board from the seldom used garage and install it in the frequently used opener but could not get it programmed. I called Affordable Overhead and spoke with David Lee Garcia. That is the start of this Western tale: THE GOOD: Mr. Garcia told me how to get a replacement circuit board for free from Genie Corp. Very Helpful. THE BAD: When my wife called to set up the appointment Mr. Garcia said the cost would be $125 instead of the $80 he quoted me earlier because we live so far out. OK, I can live with that. The technician he sent out, Marc, was incompetent. He installed the new circuit board on the seldom used opener and then said the wall switch was not working (funny, it worked before he got here)then installed basically what appeared to be a doorbell switch. Wish I could post a picture of this "masterpiece"). Then he started trying to program the frequently used opener and could not get it programmed. He then complained to my wife that it was hot in the garage and claimed to have done everything he knew how to do and that was it. He said we would need another circuit board and left after we paid him $125. A few days later the "repaired" opener with the new circuit board quit working. THE UGLY. I got another circuit board and proper wall switch. I have made 3 calls to David Lee Garcia with Affordable Overhead Door to set up another appointment where hopefully another technician more capable than Marc could come and fix this mess. Mr. Garcia has yet to return my calls.

After discussing the size of door I was informed that it would require a custom order and would cost more. I was not prepared to pay the extra cost and would like to cancel my order. No service was performed.

Description of Work: I contacted them to have a two door garage converted into a one door. They were extremely helpful and quick. Unfortunately because my current garage did not have the appropriate support for the one door it was going to be a pricey to correct. I didn't have enough money at the time but as soon as I save up enough I'll be giving them a call back.
