Called and scheduled appointment. 1 or 2 hours of examination and explanation and on-site consultation. Scheduled install. Completed install. Training on the system (this was so elegantly installed that the training only took 30 minutes. Payment. No return trips required by the crew. It's been 3 months now, and we're still delighted.

I emailed Jay through his website and we talked a few times over the phone and email to get estimates, schedule time and discuss options. There was ice and snow the morning Jay was supposed to come out. He called me before the appointment time to let me know he'd be a little late due to weather which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he was surprised to see our wood paneling on the wall where we wanted to mount our TV. Based on his years of experience he gave me several options to balance our desire to have the TV mounted to the wall with the hope to preserve the wood paneling for resale value of the home. After completely explaining all the options, we decided on one and he proceeded to do an excellent job. What I appreciated most about him was his patience and explanation of the work he was doing. I'm so thankful to Angie's list where we can find great small businesses like Jay's to do quality and customer-focused work.

We found Linked Up Media via Angie's list after getting bids from a couple of "name brand" outfits. Those proposals were not only wildly more expensive but lack significant content details. After we called Mr. Jarret he showed up later that afternoon and after a discussion of what we wanted to do it "no problem"..I'll have a proposal back to you in a day or so. Mr. Jarrett's bid came in at a very competitive price for exactly the same functionality and nearly identical equipment as we had gotten from other vendors. Mr. Jarrett demonstrated an unusual trait when he advised us not to replace two of the speakers we had with new ones as new models he might sell us were not near the quality of what we had. There were no surprises in his quote, everything was clearly identified and priced. When we couldn't find the TV set we wanted Jaye called in every favor he could among his industry contacts to locate and get us the TV we wanted. One of the options that could have happened was all the work was done and there was no TV to install. Mr. Jarrett made certain that did not happen. The installation work was first rate and done quickly without fuss. During the project there were a couple of decisions to be made 'on the fly'. Mr. Jarrett clearly explained the issue, provided alternatives, and made recommendations based on his experience. It was very clear he wanted us to be involved in the decision and be happy with the result. Since the installation was complete Mr. Jarrett has called or emailed three times to make certain the system was doing everything we expected. It certainly is! I've worked with dozens of home contractors over the years for minor projects to major remodeling. I have never encountered a contractor who demonstrates as much professionalism and integrity as Mr. Jarrett. He has our highest recommendation and we would use him again without hesitation. I've already circulated his contact information to our Home Owners Association as the 'go to' person for Audio and video work.

He arrived when he said he would, went right to work, told me a little more about how the system works, and corrected our problems in less than 30 minutes. He didn't waste time because he knew exactly what he was doing. Very pleased with his expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend him.

Jay did an excellent job rewiring the house for networking and TV. He is knowledgeable and very professional in his approach. He was not the lowest bid but I felt his expertise was worth the additional amount. He did the work personally with a helper and made some cable runs in very difficult places. I would not hesitate to use him for any future projects.

This room has been a dream of my husband's for quite some time so we wanted to make sure we researched this thoroughly to make sure we went with the best company. We had about five different quotes from different companies. Although Linked Up was not the least expensive, it was very competitively priced and I felt like Jay was the most thorough when giving us our estimate. He identified the firewalls in our home, explained the best way to run cable into the room, and offered suggestions for what equipment he thought would work best in our home. I felt like some of the other bids just tried to get us to buy certain equipment because it was the most expensive, versus Jay who had a reason for every product he suggested. Jay and Hunter arrived on time and were very professional. The job took about three days to complete. Since our job required quite a bit of drilling, the guys were very diligent about cleaning up the dust everyday which I greatly appreciated. Our only hiccup during the installation process came when we had to deal with the satellite company. Luckily, Jay was able to "babysit" them and make sure everything was installed properly and they didn't mess up the work Jay and Hunter just did. Jay also took time to explain how to work everything for me, since I can sometimes be a little technologically challenged. He programed our Universal Remote Control so that it is easy to use and understand. Jay has even called a couple of times after the installation to make sure we are happy with everything. Great follow-up! We are so thrilled with how everything turned out. It actually turned out even better than we thought it would. I would HIGHLY recommend Linked Up Media for your home theater needs.

I looked at several bids from Angie's List AV guys and Jay was the best. He was professional, proficient, friendly, and the best deal. The workmanship is outstanding. The system looks and sounds incredible. I also researched the cost of the products he used and feel I got a great deal as he not only installed everything but fine-tuned everything to sound great, as well. He was very attentive to my wants (a great home theater at a good price) as well as my wife's (the least intrusive, ascetically pleasing solution). We're extremely happy with everything. I'd recommend him for sizable jobs like mine or small ones. He was great to work with and I completely trust him.

I got several bids, and Jay was the fastest to respond. They were not the cheapest, but in the ballpark with the rest. I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted, which Jay built upon and made the installation much cleaner and prettier. He moved a bunch of wiring out of the way, and ran several drops that I thought were impossible! They arrived right on time, and finished the work all in one shot. Even though we added an additional cable run, the total cost of the job still came in under the estimate. I have some experience with electronics and media, and I was impressed by how Jay built on what I wanted to do, rather than trying to talk me into something else, or into taking a more expensive route. I can tell when technicians know their stuff or are just faking it - and this guy is the real deal. I would recommend Linked Up Media no matter how much of an electronics expert you are - whether you want just a TV mounted or a cable run through a wall, or if you want them to do the whole system.

Excellent! Jay visited me the day I called him. It was necessary to buy an additional part, which Jay did for me. Then he saved quite of bit of money on the project by giving me the final instructions for increasing the xBox memory and signing in for the service. (My objective was to stream NetFlix movies over the xBox.) Both his work and his instructions to me were very well done. He's a professional with 20 years of experience and it shows.

Jay was exceptional to work with. He came out for an estimate, and when I asked about lowering costs he found a way to do so. He and his assistant came and did the work a week later, and obviously love what they do. The finished room is awesome, with a projector TV and screen, receiver, blue-ray player, and speakers everywhere. They saved us approximately $2000 compared to what the builder's-recommended stereo company offered, and I believe we received much better service and equipment. He also makes it very clear that he is around "after the install" in case of problems or concerns. I highly recommend Jay and his company to others.

Jay and his assistant are very easy to work with. They came out to give me an estimate within a day of my first phone call, and my system was installed about a week later. They installed their system with no problem, and the few issues that they encountered with my existing equipment, they fixed quickly and without complaint. The entire process was painless for me, and Jay even cares enough to send a one month check up on his customer's satisfaction.

I contacted Linked-Up Media after seeing there add in a local ADD magazine. I did look them up on Angie's List and unfortunately he did not have any reviews at that time. His add mentioned a family owned business and I decided to at least take a chance and have him come to the house and give me a free estimate for upgrades to my media room. I must say it turned out to be a great decision. The owner, Jay Jarrett, does all the work, he does not sub-contract it out, and he was very professional and returned all phone calls in a very prompt fashion. I originally wanted just to install rear bi-pole speakers in my ceiling of the media room and just talk about the possibilities of what else could be done to upgrade the current set-up. He later called back to advise that the only “bi-pole ceiling” speakers he could find he felt were way too expensive for my system. He could have sold me them but he was being honest and I appreciated that. During the time he was researching the speakers I had made a decision to upgrade my screen to a larger screen and an HD screen. I advised him of that and he advised that my other speakers, front and center & sub-woofer were great and I did have rear speakers, they just weren’t bi-pole rear speakers, and the picture quality would be a better investment for my situation. He advised he might even be able to get me credit on my existing screen, which he did. The discount on trading in the old screen saved me $450.00. I did check on the price myself and he truly got me a great deal. I also upgraded my projector from a 720P to a 1080P Mitsubishi projector. He never pushed me to upgrade the projector or even suggested it. However, when I advised him I would like to upgrade, once again he got me a great deal on the price of the projector as well. All I can say about Linked-Up Media is that it was extremely pleasant experience from start to finish and he was polite and professional. He truly wants the customer to be happy. You will not go wrong in using this professional installer.
