Jay brought his father along for help with the big stuff (I had an 80" sharp hung on one of my walls). What a great father and son team. Jay's work was flawless. Everything looks and runs just as he said it would...and, after the installation, he hung out an extra couple of hours to make sure I understood how to use everything he had installed. During the installation process, Jay made suggestions that offered savings from his original estimate. "We can save $200 by doing this" he'd say. "I got an upgrade on these speakers for free, saved you another $150... And, here's the kicker, he walked my dog for me (seriously) when I couldn't make it home on time. In the end, Jay's price final cost was approximately $600 lower than what he had quoted. But his work was so fantastic, and I was so pleased with the results, that I insisted he keep the money. That's how good this guy is.

We had some communication problems but those have been worked out. He completed all of the jobs that were due at the time. He did them in a very good fashion and was reasonably priced.

Having recently moved into a new home, we have had a steady stream of contractors in and out of our home bidding different projects and performing various services. When it came time to have our entire home media done, it was no exception. I received bids from no fewer than 5 different AV companies, including some of the major Dallas companies. Jay from Linked Up media set himself apart immediately. All the companies had different ideas and Jay took the time to really listen to our desires and needs, as well as discussing and remaining open minded to some ideas I got from speaking with other companies. He was extremely good at keeping in touch, returning emails and phone calls very quickly to answer any questions we had. Great communication is an important indicator of customer service, and anyone who has dealt with contractors on multiple occasions knows how rare it is to find someone who embraces this. The bid we received from Jay took into account everything we discussed and he stuck with the bid he gave us with no hidden cost inflation. Compared to many of the other bids his prices were very fair. When I compared some of his prices on the same products as I received in other bids he matched or beat everyone else's prices, When we decided on having Jay perform the services we were extremely impressed with his professionalism, punctuality, patients, skills and knowledge. The fact that he and his father do all the work themselves provides an added sense of comfort as we could tell they took a great deal of pride in their work, and they didn't just farm us out to a crew of subcontractors as some of the larger places would have surely done. Our 1 and 4 year old boys LOVED them, and Jay and is father were terrific with our kids...they were almost like a part of the family for the 4 days they were in our home. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of their services and are blown away with the quality of the workmanship. Of all of the services I have used Angie's List to help me find, Jay and Linked Up media was unquestionably the best. It's so nice to have comfort in the fact that we can always call Jay for any future needs and he will be there to provide excellent service.

We found Jay through Angie's list, and we are extremely glad we did. We built our home in 2010 and had been using the same AV company that was recommended by our builder and who originally wired our home for all of our AV needs. While we plodded along with this company, we were never entirely happy with the price, service, or their level of professionalism. When we confirmed that this company was overcharging us for a replacement security camera DVR we decided it was time to move on. We contacted Jay and he was extremely responsive. He came out to the house to review our systems and then we set a time for him to return and service our system. He explained everything he was doing and why. He also advised that in the future before we agree to complete replacement of an expensive piece of equipment which was not yet 2 years old, we should ALWAYS take the old unit back to where it was purchased first to determine whether or not a replacement part could have fixed the problem. Our prior AV company never even offered that, but immediately told us that we needed a new unit and then proceeded to overcharge us for the unit and the installation. Jay fixed things for us that we knew had not worked properly from the onset, but could never get the old company to address, and also programmed our security camera DVR, which the prior AV company should have done when they installed it. We couldn't even pull our cameras up on our computers or iPhones after the new unit was installed until Jay came and programmed it appropriately. In the process, he also gave us helpful hints and suggestions on how we could make our systems more secure than they had been in the past. Suffice it to say that we are extremely pleased with the service Jay provided us, and very happy that we have established a relationship with him. We would recommend him wholeheartedly!

Possibly the best experience with a company I have ever had!! Jay and his dad were patient, informative, helpful, kind and hard working!! (His dad is a funny guy too) I can not say anything negative about this company. I have had nightmares dealing with video companies in the past at other homes. Jay could not have made it more of an easy and pleasant process. If you need ANY type of work done that is internet or TV equipment I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Jay....you truly can't go wrong!!

After visiting multiple home theatre stores we found Linked Up Media on Angie's List. Jay, Linked Up's owner, took the time to fully understand our needs, and worked with us to select the best equipment that fit our budget. He visited our house at no charge to review exactly what the job would require before providing a detailed estimate, including labor. Most other companies bill labor as an hourly quote with no guarantee about the amount of time it will take to install. Jay spent 2 full days pulling wires and installing equipment, as well as explaining how to use the universal remote and all the components. The system Jay installed works great, and we couldn't be happier. Jay has remained available to answer any questions we have about the system.

Overall, this was a great experience when I did not know who to trust or who to turn to. Linked-up Media receives a high rec. in my book.

Jay is the consummate professional. He installed my home AV system a couple of years ago - which is still the best I've seen among family and friends. We called him back to install some home security cameras. He's both the best in terms of quality and is on par with any other bids that we've ever gotten. I was so pleased with his work for us (big and small jobs) that after the initial big job I've not gotten other bids. I completely trust him. You can't go wrong with Jay.

I worked for two weeks (primarily entire Saturdays) trying to get everything figured out myself (I consider myself not an expert, but at least fairly capable of researching and working audio/video projects). But I just couldn't get things to work like I needed them to. I wanted to have my outdoor patio (with speakers and TV) access my audio/video equipment that was indoors (in my media room) and be able to run it separately from the media room itself. However, I just couldn't either get the sound to work like I wanted, or I could get the sound, but not the video feed to work together, etc. I was frustrated. Then I found Linked Up Media (Jay) on Angie's list. He came over to check things out, talked about a few options but wanted to research a few things before providing an estimate. I appreciated his honesty on areas that could be issues but also his confidence that we could figure out how to make things work the way we wanted (without getting too crazy with cost). He gave me his estimate with a great description of what additional equipment I would need (and even more importantly why the equipment would be needed). He showed up when he said he would, was very efficient with his work, and answered any questions I had (and assured me he was available if I came up with more questions). I now have a system that I can walk outside with my universal RF remote, control everything outside (even though the equipment is inside), as well as use the same remote to control everything in my indoor media room. The sound is great...it is perfectly synced with the video, and all is good. Everything is exactly how I envisioned it when I set out with my project. I just needed an expert to get it all right. The LinkIn team first assessed the potential challenges in producing the best sound in our living room, which has a nearly three-story high ceiling. Everything went extremely well. When I first contacted Jay he came over and discussed options with me. He sent me a quote and once I decided, we set a date. He was knowledgeable and professional. I'm very happy with the work that Jay did. I discussed my needs, goals and budget and asked a lot of basic questions, which were all answered to my satisfaction. He put together several quotes, each consisting of a different configuration of components and brands, all of which helped me to arrive at a purchase decision. His follow up support is superb - Jay continued to research a technical glitch, even contacting the manufacturer, and eventually scheduled another service call to implement the solution he discovered. Jay promptly returned my initial call inquiring about his company's services. He arrived shortly after and we discussed what I wanted done. He took notes and inspected the areas I wanted cables run and speakers installed. Since my family room was located directly below a second story hall and bedroom there was no 'easy' method for dropping cables from the attic, several cables would need to be routed between the ceiling and the floor above it. It would be a difficult installation to say the least. I received a quote for services a couple of day later via email and we set up a time for an appointment. Jay arrived on schedule Friday afternoon around 2:00 PM and immediately set to work. It was shortly afterward that I understood what he meant by 'challenging installation'. During the next six hours he encountered plumbing hidden in a wall, electrical runs in strange areas, cross braces, and triple headers, and all of it in the worst possible areas. It was pretty much everything that would have caused me to abandon the installation and go with conventional speakers and a wireless network. I will say this though, Jay is a problem solver. He figured ways around all of the obstacles and managed to put all the speakers where I wanted them, and run network cable not only to the family room, but to my master bedroom and library as well. The man worked his butt off to finish the job that day, and even though he worked until 8:30 that Friday evening, not once did I see him cut corners on the quality of his work. In addition completing the speaker installations and pulling cables, Jay patiently answered the hundred or so questions I came up with while I watched him work and was quite pleasant the entire time. So not only is he a conscientious and skilled installer, he's a sharp and personable guy. When the intallation was finished, the speakers and network cables were tested and everything was cleaned up nicely. Jay even helped me move my two massive sectional couches back into place before he left. I am very pleased with the work done in my home and would recommend Linked Up Media to my friends and family without hesitation.

I chose not to use this company, I thought the gentleman who visited with us and provided the estimate was very professional and provided good information, however I did not want in-wall speakers after discussinng with my wife. Had I received an alternative or option with cost, I think I would have selected this vendor.

I needed a network cable run to me media room. They traversed an impassable attic space like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Their jovial but professional attitude was refreshing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my home theater needs.

Jay met me at my house after work to review the install and provide an estimate. While he was there he not only provided an estimate of mounting the TV but also some recommendations for other A/V work I will have done in the future. After confirming the size/make/model of the TV we scheduled the install date three days after the estimate. He arrived on time the day of the install. He and his assistant were extremely friendly and they were very professional during the entire install. He even placed all his tools on blankets to make sure nothing was dropped or damaged our hardwood floors. There were a couple of options for installing the TV and he showed me all of the options prior to the final installation. He even went to a supplier in the middle of the install to find a lower mounting bracket (I was debating how far i wanted the TV to hang from the ceiling). Overall the TV looks great and the picture is amazing. He even asked for touchup paint since the movement of the speaker uncovered some of the paint. Great job..would definitely use Linked Up again.

I have used Jay in the past to do our media center and install new speakers throughout the house. This work was a small job with a replacement cable and installing an Apple TV unit into the media center. As with my previous experience Jay and his dad were prompt, neat, efficient, and professional. If you are in the metroplex this is the company to use for multi-media installs.

Jay and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Jay showed up on time for the initial assessment of my home theater system, within a day and a half, Jay provided a detailed estimate of the scope of work and the cost thereof. We set up a time for the work to be accomplished. He estimated that the work would take a day and one half. Prior to scheduled date Jay called and had to reschedule due to a family emergency. I found his professionalism to be first rate in this matter. He kept me apprised of the situation and worked with my schedule to set up a new time. After setting up a new date, Jay and his team showed up to my house on time and with all the material necessary to complete the job. Jay kept me apprised during the first day and discovered that the company I hired to install my equipment pretty much failed at ensuring that the equipment was installed properly. Jay also discovered and resolved a potential fire hazard. Jay spent an entire day resolving issues that the prior company created. Because of this, Jay had to reschedule the next day's work because the project was going to take longer than initially estimated. Jay and his team showed up on the second day on time. They worked an entire day on installing the master bedroom's system. He checked the system to ensure that it was going to work correctly for many years to come. I was thoroughly impressed with Jay's team and with Jay. Jay stayed at the house the entire time and participated in the installation. His team was top notch, and i would not hesitate hiring his company again (in fact, i likely will when i install my outdoor television system.

I was having problems with my set up on my Home Entertainment System. I had other people that had serviced it but felt they took advantage of the hourly rate and jobs that should have taken an hour took two or more. I found Jay on Angie's list and what a find. He returned my phone call in a prompt manner, showed up for the appointment on time. Went to work and I felt he used it wisely. The service was great, he is very professional and I felt comfortable having him in my home, being a single person. We talked about additional work and he will be coming back to install. Jay is a must call for anyone looking for help in this area.
