I liked them very much. There was a period of time between the meeting and them actually installing the new closet. The woman I talked to was very open to my suggestions and everything seemed to work out for the best in the end.

Kathy arrived and when we saw the closet she seemed surprised. Again, it is not a 4 wall closet. She said she had been with CBD a year and previously flipped houses. She asked me what was not working and I told her shoes, purses and linen. Told her I wanted 2 proposals; 1 for a total redo and 1 for specific issues. She took measurements and pixs. We looked through brochure of designs and options. We scheduled appt for a few days later for her proposal. When Kathy arrived, she showed me design and I immediately saw they were off. I asked her if they were to scale and she said yes. Before I could point this out, she asked me when I would be making a decision. She had not even completed the presentation and had not discussed costs or design options yet. This is when I pointed out I thought her measurements were off. We went to closet. Two walls of storage would not work. It only left about a foot between hanging clothes and storage on one wall and even less of a walk way on the other wall. Her solution was "Well, we could do this or put X here instead or we could..". She was all over the place and had too much unwritten info. Only 1 design proposal for a total redo was presented. When I asked about the other, she said I could decide what I would like to incorporate. When we went back to discuss, she kept saying she'd like my business, but her proposals were not inspiring, functional or innovative use of space. At the initial interview I voiced my request for purse and shoe storage and her solution only stored 24 pair of shoes (I had more in my closet at that time than that. She never counted the shoes or asked about how many pairs). Her presentation also did not address where my purses would be stored. Take away the two walls of storage that would not fit, the proposal was very lacking. Even though I had been happy with my previous closet design by CBD, this showed it's all in the designer you are assigned. This experience made me look at other closet designers for estimates. If my closet was a square or rectangle, her design probably would have been fine. If you have an unusual closet size or shape, ask for a more experienced designer. I gave quality a B because I already have a closet by CBD and the quality is good. If I was rating the quality of proposal, I would have to give it a D. The low rating is because the designer did not provide 2 proposals as requested. She kept asking for my business before even completing the presentation. Her measurements were off and so the design she did present did not work. She did not address what my main concerns were which were shoe and purse storage. She did address the linen storage issue. If I actually had the room that she measured, the design would have been okay, with some tweeking, but still not functional for my needs.

I contacted someone from Closets by Design to help with a comic book collection. I did not like the way the boxes look stack up from the floor. She measure the comic books boxes and then the closets. She then suggested shelves for the comic books boxes and how I could get the other stuff in my office out of site. The day of installation the installer contacted me and told me he was on his way. He arrive shortly there after and started work. They were clean and professional and pointed out a hole in the wall that the builders had left. It took them less than 2 hours and I am very happy with my shelves.

Ronnie Thomas was my consultant. She was professional and on time. She didn't try and oversell me on expensive systems. We needed a simple system for inside closets that nobody is going to see, but were in terrible shape. She listened to what I wanted, then checked the numbers of clothes my husband and I have (including shoes, pants, shirts, bags and accessories), then designed a system for both closets that I am extremely happy with. She scheduled an appointment for installation that was about 2 weeks out. The company called the day before to verify the appointment. The installers arrived on time, dismantled the old system and took it away, worked quickly and left no mess.

On time initial visit, devised plan and price and scheduled it, punctual installers and they did exactly what was quoted and cleaned up.

Danielle was my consultant. She came for consultation to discuss what I needed and wanted in terms of storage and organizational needs. She measured equipment that needed to be stored. Took into account a rolling supply cart I have and came up with a design and pricing right then. We talked about options for color and other accessories. I got prices from other closet companies and this one was the most reasonable. They generally do tear out and install the same day, but I wanted the tear out done one day, so wall could be repaired and painted to match the bedroom walls. I chose not to do the matching backing, I wanted the wall color to come through. Everyone from the tear-out guys to the installers were prompt, professional and friendly. I also went to their studio to look at options available. Danielle was a wonderful consultant and even gave me pros and cons of another way I had thought to do the closet.

It was a great experience. The designer Lynn Tingle came to the house on a Saturday and the closets were installed about 10 days afterward. The installers, Jason and Darrin, called before arriving and worked about 4 hours installing the closets. They were extremely polite and efficient. I would use them again in a minute. My closets look great and hold a significantly more than I thought they would.

Carol Begin came out to design my room. She listened to what I needed, made suggestions, and drew it all up. When installation day came, Brad was the lead installer and he is the BEST! Courteous, caring, takes pride in his work. Awesome job, did all the clean-up and asked on several occasions if there was anything else he could do to make it even more perfect. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend them. They were punctual and did the work when they said they would, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Closets by Design was very thorough and did an excellent job. The representative met with me on Monday and measured the closets and drew some suggestions. We settled on suggestions. They installed the new closets on Thursday. Nice job!

THE LADY, AUTUMN, WHO CAME TO MEASURE OUR CLOSETS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL IN DETERMINING WHAT OUR NEEDS WERE. THE MAN WHO ACTUALLY INSTALLED THE CLOSETS WAS NEAT, THOROUGH AND COURTEOUS.
