We bought a home in July with a yard that had been very neglected and called requesting a weed spray to start getting it under control. The guys came out and fertilized and spot sprayed (as this was there July protocol). We called and said this was not what we requested, and they did come back and actually spray about 3 weeks later. It didn't seem to kill a single weed. They also called to inform us that they would be returning for a repeat treatment (which we didn't request) and we had to tell them to cancel. There seem to be some internal communication issues and I would not use them again.

In June of 2012 we contracted with Weed Patrol to treat our front yard for crab grass and other weeds. In the first personal meeting at my home with Joel of Weed Patrol, he stated that it would take sometime to get control of my yard but by Spring time the yard would be rid of the crab grass. We agreed to contract them to treat our yard. The first treatment was in July 2012, twice in August 2012, September 2012, October 2012, December 2012, March 2013 and May 2013. After our yard treatment in May 2013 my wife and I were very dissatisfied with the condition of our yard since we had been paying Weed Patrol to treat our yard spending over $700 already and the yard looked exactly the same as it did when they initially began treating it. I attempted to call Joel at Weed Patrol several times leaving messages and did not get a call back. I finally asked my wife to start calling because I just did not have the time to continue to try to get in touch with Joel at Weed Patrol about the condition of my front yard. My also attempted several time leaving messages and texting with out a call back or a text return. My wife finally received a call back. Joel said he would be out to our house first thing in the morning around 0830am on June 6, 2013. At 09:15 my wife sent Joel a text asking where he was because she had decided to stay home and wait for him to speak to him in person. He returned a text saying he did not realize she was going to be home at the time he said of 0830am to talking to him about the yard and said he would be here around 10-10:30am. My wife is now writing this since she is the one who spoke to Joel. Upon arriving at my home Joel stated to me, Mrs. Bruno, that he agreed that the yard was is BAD shape and should not have all the crab grass and weeds still. He said he would continue to treat the yard "at no cost" to us until it was in the condition it should be. I asked him to send me an email stating what he said and he agreed he would. I gave him my business card with my email address on it. He said he would try to get it to me late that day or the next day which would have been June 8, 2013. On June 8th I texted Joel and said I had not received the email confirmation of the "no cost" continued treatment of my yard and to please send it to me so I had something in writing verifying his agreement with me and even sent him my email address even he had it from my business card. I received NO response to my text. By that afternoon, I called his office and left a message and no one called me back and still no email verification. On June 9th I sent him another text message at 5:18pm again stating that I still had not received his email verification of "no cost" continued treatment. On June 10th at 07:56am I sent him another text message and once again attached my email address...NO response. I called his office and once again left a message, no returned call and no email. My husband called and finally spoke with Joel on June 11th and Joel assured my husband that he would send the email by that afternoon, we never got it!! On June 11th I texted Joel and told him it was extremely sad that he was the owner of the company and he has blatantly ignored his paying customer and that I have now requested 4 times and my husband has also called and spoken with him the day before. On June 12th still nothing. Myself and my husband have truly attempted to NO avail to get a written verification of the continued "NO COST" treatment of my yard per the Personal conversation I had with Joel on June 6th. Today is June 14th and I still have nothing. This has been exhausting and in very very poor business practice. My yard looks horrible, the same as when Weed Patrol began treating it and we have paid over $700 and they have been treating it for 11 months now with no change to my yard. I just wanted a written verification of the "NO COST" because I did not want to be billed and have nothing in written to back up NO COST.

Yard looked great!
Description of Work: Yard fertilization and weed control We used these guys last 2012 "yard" season. They were LATE to the estimate appointment but prices were fair, so we decided to give them a shot any way. Before I go one let me say that our yard did look good by the end of the summer! But one another note if you need to be home to let them into your yard (we have a doggie door and 2-90lbs dogs that don't like strangers)...don't have any where you need to be because they won't be there on time! I waited so long that I called the boss "He should have been there by now, when I left the yard he was putting his things in his thruck to leave. Let me find out whats going on and I'll call you right back" Let's just say I waited another half hour and no one showed up and by the way the boss never did call me back! Because noone ever showed or called back to let me know what was going on I had to leave my dogs locked in the house all day just in case. So if you want a nice yard but punctuality isn't important to you then you'll be happy.
