Although we were required to pay one half of the estimated cost down prior to the order for the doors to be placed and then wait three weeks for the doors to arrive, the job was nonetheless a very good installation. The installer was very professional and also very punctual. Arrived 5 minutes ahead of scheduled time. Yes, we would hire them again.

Two years prior to the date of work preformed, I had contacted Veteran's Garage Door for an estimate on replacing the door hardware and rails. It took two month (June 8 to Aug 17) to get written estimate. I was given an estimate of roughly $1500. Other competitors estimated from $600 to $200 less. Due to other factors the purchase never happened. On June 11th 2013 I got an estimate to replace the garage door on my Daddy's shop for the door only that was only $100 less than the previous price quoted for a complete job in 2009 (rails, doors, hardware and opener). On June 13th 2013 I put down ½ of the price on a credit card. I was told work would begin on June 24th. It didn?t. When I called on June 24th I was told that due to severe storm damage the previous week they were running behind schedule, were short-handed and my door had not come in. I was told it should be in that Friday and would be installed Monday, July 1st. On July 1st I was called 4 times for directions before someone actually came out, but they did nothing and left before I could contact them. I called the office and told them I expected the job to start the next day (July 2nd). At 2 pm an installer called me and said they would be out as soon as they finished their current job. At 5:30 they showed up and got the old door taken down and new door installed but not the door opener/closer. Around noon the next day (July 3rd) the installer called to say he would be out around 3 pm to install door opener. At 4 pm he called to cancel and said he would be out the following Monday (July 8th). I called Veteran?s office at 4:25 PM on the 8th because no one had come out. I was told there was no appointment on the books for anyone to come out but would schedule me for the following Friday (July 12th). On the 12th I received a call from one of the installer crew that they would be out that afternoon. No show. On July 15th they showed up at 9 am and finished the job by 2:45 pm, but didn?t have an owner?s manual for the door system.
Description of Work: Remove old garage door and replace it with basic metal door, hardware and install new commercial grade garage door opener/
