He installed the plumbing for a pool bathroom. The plumbing went fine. He dug up and hauled off three large shrubs (I thought removing one would have been sufficient). He dug up a one and 1/2 foot by 8 feet out of our driveway concrete for sewer access. They recovered it with concrete and within two days it had caved in. I called and they said they would come look at it. Never came. Called again. Never came. Went by and talked to him and he said he would come. Never came. Called again three months later. Never came. They also left a pile of dirt and we were told they would come back and smooth it over and they never came back. I really think it is important for a business to do the things that they tell you they will do.

My gas hot water heater located in my attic quit working in September, 2011. I contacted Flournoy Plumbing who sent a plumber over to check it out. The gas hot water heater could not be repaired and since it had to be replaced I inquired about a "tankless" hot water heater. I informed the plumber that my husband had just passed away 2 1/2 months earlier and that I wanted the replacement to be one that would be of such quality that it would last. The plumber spoke of one tankless hot water heater that was considerably less, but advised me that it required regular maintenance to insure that the warranty be honored. The plumber then advised me of the "Eternal" hybrid tankless that was stainless steel, maintenance free, instant hot water, and had a 20 yr bumper to bumper warranty. Not knowing that all of these statements excluding the"stainless steel" were false, I agreed to purchase the Eternal Hot Water Heater. After approximately 5 days of cold showers, the plumber returns and installs the Eternal Hot Water Heater leaves and advises he will return to "finish up". It didn't take long to realize that the "instant" hot water is not "instant". Then come November, 2011, after getting some thing from the attic the light in my attic was turned "off" and I realized that night I had no hot water. This was because the source of electricity for the control panel of the hot water heater was connected to my light fixture in the center of my attic by way of an extension cord that hung from the light fixture and ran across the floor to the heater. When I called and ask when the plumber was going to return to correct the situation, I was told "they do not do electricity". After complaining to the City Inspectors, Flournoy stopped by and ask if I had seen the document that stated that the "designated" electrical outlet was "excluded". The document had a place for the customer's signature, but it was blank. Flournoy's office person then proposed that we "split" the cost of having the required electrical outlet installed. When I ask about "20yr bumper to bumper warranty he told me that was not the case. He then told me he would talk to the owner and get back with me. Flournoy's office manager Mike called and said they would like to look at the water heater I agreed. Before Flournoy Plumbing arrived, I went into the attic to discover water was on my attic floor and that the "overflow pan" under my "new water heater" was the same "old pan" that had been under my previous water heater! The plumber and electrician arrived - the plumber repaired the overflow and then advised me that the "water" was from "condensation" produced when the water is being heated - who wants a constant source of water flowing through a PVC line that will eventually stop up and cause damage to the ceiling below. The electrician was going to install the "required dedicated electrical" outlet only I was told it could not be permitted due to my fuse box being located in the attic, but he could probably do it, just not leagally. At this point I decided I did NOT want this thing in my attic - I wanted a regular water heater and they could take their "Eternal" Hot Water Heater.Mike, the office manager ask what it was going to take to make me "happy" I told him a regular water heater and the cost difference refunded to me. After waiting nearly a month Flournoy was ready to install the regular water heater, but had decided that they would do nothing else -- I hired a lawyer - after 7 months of trying to settle with them, I went to small claims court and because I had not paid to have the Eternal water heater removed and replaced with my own funds and I had "used" it and the owner of Flournoy Plumbing told the judge that his work would certainly pass inspection -- I was awarded only1/2 of the cost of the heater which the judge calculated that 1/2 of $3400. was $1600. Go figure -- This only took care of what I had spent on the attorney and court cost. I then contacted the City permit office and after 6 weeks or so finally was able to convince them that it was their job to require Flournoy plumbing to request an inspection in order to close their permit that had been open for over 1 year. The city's plumbing and electrical inspector did NOT approve the work completed by the plumber and required Flournoy to take corrective measures both with the plumbing and electrical. Flournoy Plumbing has NOT made me HAPPY!

It was the coldest day of the year and when the sun came up we discovered a broken faucet on the front of the house was watering the lawn, you should have seen the ice build up. Flournoy was there very quickly and fixed the problem. The technician actually removed three bricks from the front of the house without damaging anything, we were very impressed.

Flournoy ran machinery into the trim of the doors (I still have the gouges to prove it). The men would be sitting in a trough with their feet hanging in mud, need to go check something in the master bathroom, so walk on my carpet with their muddy feet (they thought since they were steaming the carpet later that would be okay -- my carpet has never been the same). There are still rocks under my daughter's carpet that they failed to clean off of the floor before they relayed the carpet. In short, they didn't respect my home. I know they were thrilled to have that $15,000 job -- but I can't tell you how many people have asked me, "You had a huge plumbing job done at your house. Who did you use? Should I use them?" I tell them, "No, you shouldn't and here's why..." No telling how much money they have lost by beating up my home.
Description of Work: Entire replumb of my 1958 house, jackhammering up from the kitchen sink, through my living room, down the hall and out through my daughter's bedroom.

The plumber, Steven, was very nice and helpful. He explained what he would and could do and then did exactly what he promised. My only complaint would be that their rates are high. For a less than 2 hour installation on the sink, the fee was $288 and he provided only a sink drain. The vast majority was for labor.
Description of Work: Moved a gas outlet in the kitchen for our new stove, installed a new faucet and disposal in our new sink, and a few miscellaneous items in the bathroom.
