We are lucky to have a person of Butch's caliber in this area. He is the ultimate professional, explains everything he is doing and is very fair on his pricing.

We have an 80-year-old house with original, hand-built kitchen cabinets. The cabinets generally worked fine so we couldn't justify replacing them. But the drawers (6) were horrible. With that issue fixed, the kitchen would function perfectly for our needs.
We contacted Butch and he gave us a reasonable price to replace and refit the drawers. We couldn't be happier with the work and the end result.
Butch is a true craftsman - a rare find these days. His work is matticulous!
The cabinets he was working with were not perfectly plumb or level, so making drawers work and align was not a simple task. He solved the problem perfectly. We now have drawers that slide smoothly and fit perfectly.
I wish we had a few more jobs around the house for him to work on, he's such a pleasure to work with.

Over a ten-month period, from September 2011 to July 2012, we employed Butch Griffin to repair the hail damage to the deck and siding of our home. We were so pleased with his work that we asked him to undertake some other projects, including screening a porch, some deck supports, and the replacement of two external french doors.
We always found Butch to be reliable and a pleasure to work with. He is a problem-solver and perfectionist, and we could not be more pleased with the quality of his craftsmanship. He is very efficient with his time and we have found him to be fair with his pricing. Butch was always willing to work with us and to provide free realistic estimates before commencing the work.
We have recommended him to many of our friends and through them he has proven to be versatile in his ability to handle a wide-range of renovation and remodeling projects both inside and outside of the home. We plan to use him again in the near future.

I have known Butch Griffin personally and professionally for many years and have even helped him with a few projects.  He's very talented in many areas, especially finished carpentry.  The room renovations I mentioned were done over a period of a couple of years with the last ending in Feb. 2012.  I have loved all the work he has done so far and there doesn't seem to be anything that he can't tackle (with the exception of major electrical or plumbing, which he doesn't claim to have experience in). He's VERY dependable, which is hard to get, and insists on leaving whatever area he is working on clean and tidy even if he's coming back to work in the same area the next day.  He's also very trustworthy and everyone he works for feels comfortable leaving him alone (sometimes while they are on vacation) to work. His attention to detail is unheard of today, in everything he does.  He's just an overall great guy that does a good job for a fair price and does it well.
I only have a few pictures of my small 1/2 bath to add, but maybe I'll try to take some additional ones and add in the future.

Butch is amazing! He is a woodworker at heart and it shows. Everything he does has to be left in tidy condition. He has wonderful ideas, finds great deals online and in stores, makes sure there is a budget set up front so there are no surprises, works full time on your project (doesn't skip back and forth to various projects during the same period), arranges to accept packages of products he needs for renovation. The craftsmanship and color work is superb. I am definitely enjoying my new bath/closet after 28 years of having three small disjointed rooms. The great buy he found for a Jacuzzi really added to the bath and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
He plans his work so he doesn't inconvenience his customers any more than necessary. That's a real plus! He provides a detailed invoice at the end of every work week rather than one at the end of the project. Makes it more manageable in so many ways.
The latest work he did was hardwood floors and painting in my bedroom and hall. I went out of town and came back to a new room with terrific ambience. It was gorgeous and I was thrilled.
I hesitate to recommend Butch because he will be too busy and I'll have to hope he can schedule me in!
Seriously, Butch is not your usual renovations guy or handman. He is quite professional, personable, and makes sure everything is buttoned up and is very much reflective of his customers' tastes and homes. Many of my neighbors have already found out about him and we're keeping him pretty busy. But, give him a shout and he'll give you a realistic time frame with lots of preplanning if you are doing a big project. He gets A++++ from me!
