I have zero complaints about the technicians here. I've had Billy, Conor, and Thomas out to my house for two different systems this year. Our upstairs is a 1988 system and it is still going strong after a very inexpensive repair. I don't have a home warranty so I was afraid this would be an extremely high out of pocket cost. I didn't have to pay a diagnostic fee or any call back fees. Conor replaces a cap on our downstairs system, billy came out for the same system the very next day but couldn't find an issue. Thomas came out the day after that (a Saturday early morning) and replaces the motor at a low cost and didn't charge us for the cap that was replaced two days before. Thomas also put Freon in our upstairs system and cleaned it at no charge. Both systems running great.

This is the abbreviated story: We hired Assured Heating & Air (AH&A) for a new HVAC system in our bunkhouse in May 2017 for $7500. They reviewed our building, recommended, & installed a mini-split system that ended up not being capable of heating the building in cold weather. After much back & forth, AH&A’s remedy (2nd written proposal) was to install larger units for an additional $2500; they stated there was NO GUARANTEE the upgraded units would adequately heat the building. 🤷🏻♀️ Along with the ridiculous 2nd proposal, they refused to do any work unless negative reviews re their company were removed. No deal. In the meantime, we found AH&A violated the initial proposal / contract we signed with them by not getting permits, and they did not follow TN state codes. We were issued a 30 Day Notice by the TN State Electrical Inspector to have power shut off due to their shabby work & code violations in the bunkhouse. We sued AH&A 6/18 and won - $7500+ additional costs. Because AH&A was represented by a lawyer, we represented ourselves. AH&A appealed the decision & requested a jury trial. We filed a formal complaint with the State of TN licensing board against AH&A which is still pending. Update: Over the last few weeks, we offered to settle with AH&A for less money. We would like to get this over. However, no settlement can be reached because we refuse to sign a confidentiality agreement to not discuss the details of what AH&A has done. We think it is important that our community know how this company operates. We feel an ethical responsibility to let others know of the violations AH&A left in our building. Therefore factual updated reviews will continue to be posted. Believe it or not...a jury trial cannot be scheduled until Sept. 2019! 🤦🏻♀️😂🤷🏻♀️ We’ll be ready. We have filed an amended motion to our original complaint from $7500 to $10,500; the cost of the having a new (and adequate) HVAC system installed in the bunkhouse. After all the time, effort, stress, cost, & misery we’ve put up with, why not? Between now & the jury trial I’ll continue to update / post reviews. It important that the public be aware (beware) of Assured Heating & Air’s practices. I have documentation to back up all facts in this post.

Unit was not cooling, due to the age of my unit, tech recommended replacement. Replaced my unit and it is cooling perfectly now. Cost for the new unit was decent as well. I went through my home warranty company. This is the vendor they chose. Their installers were courteous, polite, respectful, and answered all of my questions to the best of their ability without hesitation. Office staff was polite and kept me updated on when the technicians would be at my house. Overall, great job. Will hire again! Will recommend this company!

This company needs to get with it. I had a problem with my furnace working upstairs. The home warranty is in effect so I was forced to call these guys as that's who Old Republic goes with. They come out the first time and say that they found the problem and the burner assembly need to be replaced. So they order a part and then come back a few days later. This is the second time someone took off work by the way to be there. The guy then says the first tech is an idiot and that's not what was actually wrong with it, its just a gas valve. They of course had to order it, and they sent another guy out with this part. This is now the third visit. Now today, its not what was diagnosed the first or second vist, its something else. They now say that the valve falied and the house doesn't have enough gas pressure and they want the gas company to come out. This is the most screwed up company I have ever dealt with and will pay out of my pocket to a company that can actually fix a problem vs. waste my time. Thanks, David
Description of Work: Was called to diagnose a simple issue of heat not coming on. Old Republic HOme Warranty advised me this was the company I had to use to have it covered by their warranty.

Initial Job date: Job request was placed on 6/11/15 and completed on 8/14/15 Home Warranty of America sent me their "VIP Service Provider" after having a terrible experience with a previous provider. They assured me this one would be hassle free. Initially things were great... They sent out a guy called Glen to check a couple of things on one of my houses - he really didn't have to do too much, apart from clean the system. This went off without a hitch and I was really pleased, thinking I had finally found a good one. They were very communicative, and I always knew what was happening and when they would be arriving. THAT was until I had them actually do some real AC work that an HWA claim sent them for. When the Air Handler upstairs needed work, they were the opposite of good to work with. They initially identified the problems very quickly and said they would need to replace the drain pan and reinstall the air handler. They said it may be a few days to get the pan built and installed. I thought this was reasonable. It was over a month before they got the job started. They always had excuses, like others jobs had come up that were emergencies, it was summer and everyone needed help, or they kept having to get rid of bad employees and they were working around the clock to catch up on jobs. There was always an excuse and it was always someone else's fault. I would tolerate delays up to a point, however their lack of communication and failure to give me a reasonable date of installation. Actually they gave none until I hounded them daily to get it done. I fear had I not done this, I would still be waiting. Well... Glen eventually came by and installed the pan and refitted the unit. This should have been the end of it. Think again, Batman! THAT is when the fun began. HE FORGOT TO CLEAN THE DRAIN LINES OUT AFTER HE INSTALLED THEM AND DID NOT INSTALL THE DRAIN PAN PROPERLY. This caused water to back up and cause flooding again. My ceiling below was soaked through and eventually caved in, resulting in $700 of work needing to be done to remove the damaged drywall, dry out the beams and subfloor, re-insulate the ceiling and rehang the drywall. He came back on a Sunday to "correct" his work. Kudos for the Sunday sacrifice, sure. But that should not have been necessary if the job was completed correctly the first time. I mentioned the drywall to Glen and he simply avoided the topic and said, "I am just glad we got it fixed (AC) and that you are satisfied". No Glen. I am not satisfied. I am not at all satisfied. You cost me over a month in delays on my house repairs and then $700 in ceiling repairs due to your mistakes. I would be OK with them cleaning my HVAC because it is really hard to screw that up, but I would NEVER be OK with them ever performing comprehensive repairs or installations of any HVAC system if this is a standard experience with them. 10/2 Update: I thought we were happily ever after so I paid several thousand dollars to replace my floors upstairs, have had the ceiling below it replaced and painted and was getting on with normal life again. The handler was cooling fine, except the handler has gurgled every time the AC shuts off. Not a deal breaker I thought because everything was working. It seemed odd though. Definitely not normal. It seemed a little cold last night, so we switched the heating on... in the same unit that Glen installed. It does not blow warm air. Not even warmish air. It in fact blows cold air and cooled the top floor like a charm. I took a look at the unit and there is a puddle of water next to the copper insulated lines and the coils inside the unit are frozen. This is enough to send me crazy and honestly I am furious. Are their any good HVAC guys in Nashville that A LOT of people like? That are communicative, punctual, thorough, professional and take complete ownership of their workmanship (and ummm... mistakes)?
Description of Work: Reinstalled and "fixed" air handler to ensure "proper operation, replaced drain pan and replaced plastic drain pipes.

I am very upset by the service with Assured. We were roped into using them because our home warranty company sent them to finish a job with our furnace. Not only did they leave us without heat for weeks while they "waited for parts to come in" They overcharged us by several hundred dollars on our part of the payment. Stupidly, I had assumed they were honest and when they didn't send a written estimate that I asked for three times, I just let them work on it with a verbal estimate. When they asked for payment, they overcharged and I paid it because my husband was out of town and I couldn't verify the price with him. After calling for our refund and having them say it was in the mail several times, they finally pulled the "Yes, Tom is here... let me put you on hold.. oh wait.. Tom is actually out right now" We get the point, you are blatantly dishonest. Shame on us for assuming you were an honest company. Secondly, they left a MESS in our garage after the duct work. I have never written one review for a company. As well, they also did not finish the wiring. We had water pouring into our basement from them not hooking up the condensation pump back up to our AC after they worked on the furnace. This business is just so terrible that I am shocked they are still in business. Please find a reputable business.
Description of Work: We had them come in to do modifications on our furnace and make sure the new furnace was properly installed.
