UPTON ELECTRICAL

I had a problem with one of my split systems leaking water all over the inside of my home. The unit was 20 years old and needed to be replaced. I called Upton after finding them on Angie's list and they came out and inspected the unit and verified that it needed to be replaced. They had a new unit delivered and installed in less than a week in the middle of a summer heat wave. A week later the wire to the thermostat on another unit got cut and after I repaired the visible damage the compressor was still not kicking on. I called Upton again and they were out the next day and found the wires bare inside the unit. They cleaned and repaired the unit and were very fair with their pricing. I will continue to use Upton electrical for my heat and air and electrical issues.

I made contact with this company after the other company I used became non-responsive. I described my problem in detail and the owner gave me a time of 30 mintes show up. Punctual and on time as promised. The owner walked me through and discussed the problem I had in detail and started trouble shooting to pin the exact cause of the malfunction. I had suspected the wiring in the thermastat from the day before installation and the owner concurred my suspicion. After a complete walk through as requested by me he pointed out that the wire used to power my unit was to small. Now having worked in the electrcal field myself I presumed the previous installer would have used the correct wiring, but in this case I didn't ask or pay attention. My mistake. After concurring the findings of this mistake I had the owner correct the problem, by replacing the wires with the correct gage. If you don't understand wiring then research it. A wire is gaged by the amount of amperage and current it can carry. A wire that is gaged to low for the amount of current provided can and will in most cases burn and melt causing an electrical fire of tripping circuit breakers or even worse buring your unit out. Glad he caught it. Outcome was as expected from any company I deal with. That of which showed professionalism, respect and the abilty to describe the problem in detail, with the knowledgability of fixing it to my (the customers) satisfaction at a respectable cost. Conclusion is this company will be added to my list of reputable establishments and get my referals in the future. Keep up the good work and Thanks a million.
