T's Tree and Land Management

Despite wet weather and a steep slope, Hunter and helper got it done. Lowest bid by far. Yard is cleaner that I thought possible, and they bunched the usable firewood where I can get at it to cut and split. Lots of big, old trees here, and I will call them first.

T’s Trees and Land Management (Hunter) bid the job and then came to complete on Monday, May 15th. I had indicated previously and reiterated that I was putting the house on the market and wanted to yard to look nice for curb appeal. They started trimming the two Fire Tip bushes in the front, and I went to get the cash to pay them (receipt for cash withdrawal available). When I arrived back home I noted that they had basically cut all the lower branches way back and had not trimmed the tops at all. (Before and after photos in supplemental email 1). Hunter asked me what I thought and I indicated that it was not what I had in mind, but it was too late now. We walked around to the side to look at the Boxwoods, and I indicated that I wanted them shaped up and rounded. I wanted to make sure Hunter understood how I wanted the bushes trimmed as I had communicated this at the time of the bid, and after seeing the Fire Tips felt that I needed to state this again. Hunter then indicated that they did not have a hedger with them and they would have to come back the next day - May 16th. My impression is that the lack of a hedging tool is the reason they cut the Fire Tips so strangely and find it unprofessional that they did not have the proper tools to complete the major portion of the job. On May 16th, I texted Hunter at 9:48 to inquire as to whether they were coming. He responded that he was waiting for his help to show up and complained about not being able to get good help. (Copy of entire text string in supplemental email 2). At 4:25, I texted indicating that if they were going to be a “no show,” he should at least text some communication. He indicated that he had a family emergency, and would not be back until Sunday, but that his helper (Stevie) would be at my house tomorrow. Stevie came on May 17th. He worked on trying to start the hedger, and then indicated that he would have to go to Nashville to have the hedger repaired and he would be back that afternoon. Again no show and no communication. On May 18th, I had appointments and had received no communication. When I arrived home, the two Boxwoods had been trimmed horribly. (Before and after photos in supplement email 3). There were a large amount of trimmings on and around both Boxwoods. The one remaining flower bed that was to be mulched was completed to about 3 feet from the end of the bed and all weeds growing were just mulched over. There were only a few weeds in the flower bed. As I knew Hunter was out of town, I waited until Monday, to communicate with Hunter how disappointed I was with the job. As of Wednesday, there was no response from Hunter,

Hunter and his crew arrived on time, worked diligently until the job was completed, and cleaned up thoroughly! In all of my dealings with Hunter, (and his crew), I found him to be professional and respectful, honest and fair. I would highly recommend T's Trees to anyone who needs trees removed!
