The exterior painting on the house went okay, except they painted one door the wrong color. However when they stained and sealed the deck, they used a spray gun. I came home and found overspray all over every vehicle in the driveway (one of which was brand new) and on one side of the house. The stain was oil based and hardened after it dried. I called Tony?s cell phone immediately and some lady answered it and acted really sheepish and kept asking what I was calling Tony about. (I wanted to speak with him personally about the damage). I asked her to have him call me back. I didn?t hear anything back for about a week. I tried a week later and got him to answer his phone that time and told him about the damage. He said he would talk to his insurance company and call me back. He didn?t. Another week and a half went by and I finally called him again. When I finally got him to answer his phone he said, ?Oh, is this about the car?? I reminded him of our last conversation and asked him if he had ever spoken with his insurance company. He had not. I asked him what his intentions were and he wanted me to take the cars to a friend of his to have them repaired. I politely declined that option and told him that I wasn?t comfortable with that. I wanted to take them to a known, reputable company to have them fixed. He did not like this. He finally told me to get the repair work done and depending on the amount he was planning to pay out of pocket as he didn?t not want to turn it in to his insurance. I went and got the estimates and tried to call him back but could not get him to return any calls. This ended up going on for two more months of trying to get him to return phone calls and finally getting in touch, only to have more excuses to try to delay paying anything. Finally, in February I had an attorney send him letter with copies of all the receipts for the repairs. No response. I ended up turning it in to my own insurance company and paying my own deductible. I never heard back from Tony and never got a penny for all the damage. My brand new Toyota Highlander was two months old when this happened and though they were able to get the majority of the overspray off, it did not all come off. I still have some on my house as well. I would strongly advise anyone having any dealings with Tony Skinner to stay away from this man. He has no integrity at all.
Description of Work: I hired Tony Skinner to paint the exterior doors, shutters and foundation around the house. Also, he was to put a combination stain and sealer on my deck.

It didn't go at all.
Description of Work: Mr. Skinner came to our home and provided an estimate for power washing and painting/staining our new deck. We called him back to schedule the work and he would not return our phone calls. When I called him (at least six times) he tried to "modify" his quote. Every time I called, he would say he has us on the schedule for next week...but he would never call or show up.
