He did an excellent job. My bank recommended him, said he had done some small things for them and said he knew how to get things in code. He seemed like a very nice man. He looked around and I told him what I wanted to do and there was a timeline involved and he took notes, he came back to me, he said certain things needed to be done. I am handicapped so I don’t go down to the lower level very much and apparently the gentleman that had first helped me around the house, he had built it and it was literally falling down. So he took all that out and went back in code and just did it perfectly. So that was good. He did a good job on bringing up the railings to code. He did an excellent job on rewiring the bathroom. This house was built in the sixties and it was a summer house as so many of the houses are out here, and it electrically had not worked so well in that bathroom. He just did an excellent job, I didn’t have any problems with him and he was here when he said he would be. I would recommend him. For tearing the porch down, taking out lumber up to the road and then replacing it and putting the railing in code, probably came to $900 but he did an excellent job on that. The electrical work was $190. I was very pleased with him. He is smart. He keeps himself up on the code. He went down and got a certificate which you have to have here to be able to build anything and he bought a person with him to get the deck down and back up again but the other things, he did by himself. He is very pleasant to be around and a nice guy. His price was a little high but it was worth it. I didn’t know what to expect, he gave me an estimate and the estimate was a big range. He had it done in two days. He had the electrical work in the bathroom done in four hours. There was nothing he did that first of all that didn’t need to be done. Second of all, he kept in touch, he told me before this is going to be this much or some cases it is going to be in this range, he didn’t tell me exactly how much it was until he got into it but he would give me a range on it. He called me right back and I was kind of surprised at that. He called me six hours later and said he could do it then. He had an excellent personality. When he said he would be here at eleven he was here at eleven. He had done his work, he knew exactly how high the railing around the fence needed to be, and he knew exactly what he was working with as far as the codes around here. He did some innovative things that I would have never thought of and I was kind of surprised by that.
Description of Work: His name is Mark Culberson. He fixed my porch. I needed some railings here and there, for the same reason, to bring it up to code. He also rewired my bathroom. He rebuilt the porch with pressure treated lumber. The person that had done it before had not even put the ways in the concrete so I had that put in. So he put everything up in the bathroom, he put a fan in the shower area and another light in the beginning area. He also does the iron work, so does a little bit of everything. He constructed the iron thing to go in the downstairs vent.
