Joe's Paving and Seal Coating

Positives: Crew acted very professional, like they thoroughly knew what they were doing. Quality of job performed was very satisfactory to me. Returned next day to see if I had any questions or concerns. They even provided advice for me concerning several minor situations. Negatives: This is a very difficult one to communicate. There are issues with this contractor that any potential customer should be aware of. Significant info. on internet. Search :"Joe Lovell Paving". Very very large family in this business across several states for over 30 years. Company names are very numerous and apparently have changed often ? If I had read all this info before hand, I probably would have never hired. But, they all were great with me, and as I said, job well done. Always two sides to every story.. These guys are very experienced and probably will give you the best job around. Caution, Caution---- I was extremely busy at time of job and made some mistakes. First make sure you get a signed contract with a warranty in your hands before any work of this type is done, and make sure you have an agreement on any draws on payment before job is begun. I got verbals that I believe changed just a little. but can't be totally sure. I was advised I would get a signed contract and two year warranty on paper, but as of this writing have received neither and this is after two requests for the documents since completion. Joe may still come around with what I am looking for even though I should have gotten them up front. These people have been in the business a long time and it should have been second nature for proper paperwork to be presented up front. So, be alert, and educated up front. They did a great job for me, but I just wanted to get them posted on Angie's List. They could come under any name or from any place and still be part of the Lovell Family. Probably the most skilled out there for this and surrounding areas, but if you chose to use them, or get a quote from them, do your homework. I believe they will sense that you have and do you an excellent job.
