They are exceptionally awesome. They came out. They were fast. They spent a lot of time, and they could have charged me $3,000-$5,000. They were like, "Here's your problem, and it's only this." And then I needed them again; I had another problem. They came out, and again it was very little. I called them on a Monday, and I had a flight to New Orleans. We were leaving town. They only had a two to three hour window to come, and they came.

They are professional, punctual, and honest. They explain everything in great detail, they spend a lot of time. They left the area very clean.

These guys are a good-natured, enthusiastic, professional, and hard-working crew! We were getting joist reinforcement done under the house and the workers for that company said they needed our metal ducting removed and set to the side so they could get to the joists and jack up the floor, and then replaced when they were done. I contacted Redd's, who I had used once before for air conditioner repair, and James came to inspect, and let me know our ducting was duct board instead of metal and would fall apart if they tried to move it and put it back in place. It was almost 30 years old and probably in need of replacement anyway. James gave us a quote by the next day for all new metal ducting. They had to time their work in coordination with the other company, and with 3 days notice, they were here by 7:45 a.m. and had all the duct work removed and carted away by 9:15. Two days later, the other company finished the joist work by noon and Redd's was back that afternoon to install enough of the new duct work so we could have partial A/C over the weekend. They were back on Monday and finished the whole thing. They not only installed all new duct work, but also replaced vent covers that were rusting a little, and installed all new vapor barrier, which we had already contracted the other company for but got to cancel and saved $600. They worked very hard, but always had time to answer my questions and explain what they were doing, and even pointed out a small water pipe leak for me so I could get it repaired. I won't have any problem using this very professional company again.

I was real happy with their service. They offered an extended warranty of $500 for 10 years for parts and labor. They said the only way I would be charged any extra is a service call afterhours, which is weekends only. We had a problem one time and I called them, they were right out here within just couple of hours. Everything has been fine. They are punctual, they don’t let it go, they get right to you; you don’t have to wait around on them.

On this occasion, our HVAC was not producing cold air. I called Redd's office on a Sunday afternoon and left a message to get on their list for Monday. It was not very hot outside; so, no emergency. I received a reply phone call on Sunday night and Kim said a tech would arrive Monday morning. The tech arrived promptly the next day with a cheerful smile and nice attitude. He performed an inspection of most of the system to check for gas leaks but could find none. Obviously there is a leak somewhere; but, some of the piping is difficult to access. He re-charged the system with Freon and advised me to call again if the air lost its "cool". It has been about two weeks and so far no problems. I know from past experience with Redd's that if the problem re-appears, they will make it right. UPDATE - I happily paid my bill but expressed my concerns about the leak re-occurring. Within a few days, Kim called me to schedule a re-inspection. A more experienced tech came out this time. He performed a thorough search and found the leak where two pipes had been rubbing together from vibration. He braised the hole, gassed up the system and all is good. I'm sure all the techs at Redd's are well-trained and those I have met are certainly professional and customer-friendly. There's a lot to be said for experience though. The veterans have seen it all and know how to trace down leaks and what not. If you have a particularly difficult problem, Redd's will help you find a solution. During these unfortunate times when most service providers could care less about your satisfaction, Redd's stands out as a professional company with a crew that truly cares about their customers. I have lived in big cities and what you get there is a run around. Redd's stepped up and I consider them an admirable and honorable family-owned company you can depend on for your HVAC needs.

Redd's is by far the most professional group that I have worked with. They are prompt, they clean up after themselves. They go beyond what is expected to make the customer happy. They are honest, dependable, reliable, efficient. Without any doubt, I will have them come back to install my 2nd floor unit. If I could give more an A+ I would. Wish all contractors could be like Redd's!
