Salesman was very polite and knowledgable of the mowers. He answered all my questions I had without any hesitation. The owner also took time to talk to me also. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable of all the products he had to offer and he explained some of the attachments that would help me with my needs. I purchased a mower and a couple attachments that day and plan on doing future business with them.

We have been doing business with Hill's Power Pro in Tullahoma for several years now. They have always been professional and provided good service. This particular time I was in there to purchase a new larger mower for my husband. I was waited on right away and was shown the different products. Once I had decided then the transaction was very smooth. They were even very accommodating to the fact that it would be the next day before we could pick the mower up. We will definitely be returning for servicing on both of our Gravely's.

Where does a person begin? Have known one of the owners since HS thought well of her. I asked them to come pick up the mowers, I have a truck but no trailer. Was told there was a fee involved for it??? When I asked about it was told that everyone has to pay it. It was the first ripoff. When they got here there were other mowers and equipment already on the trailer. Did everyone get charged the same amount? If they were that is a heck of a money maker and markup. They took the mowers back to Tullahoma, about 20-25 minutes away. I will admit that they did do what they were asked to do but it is the billed amounts for these services. Here about a week ago I decided to switch the John Deere to a mulching mower. I was quite shocked when I found the ones I needed online, they were a third of the price and top name brand. Heck of a markup #2. Was charged a full hour for the blades to be changed by them. I know computers and networks like the back of my hand. If I, totally untrained in this profession can take the old blades off, put new ones on and was done in about 20 minutes. As I said, I know computers, they are supposed to be the "pros" at doing this. BIG RIPOFF was when they charged for an oil change on the push mower. It is a Troy Bilt with the Briggs and Stratton that you never have to change the oil in, you just check and top it off as needed. Had an online chat with Briggs and Stratton, they assured me over and over I wasn't reading wrong and why I couldn't find an oil filter for it. Again, they are the "pros" and should know that. As I said, they did do the work I hired them to do, fee was much higher than expected especially since I come from Florida and everything is more expensive. I tried to post to their FB page, it was negative of course. Ha, got a long private message from the wife of the owner telling me that I don't know their industry and this and that. I told her she was right, I don't know their industry. I did however own a highly successful company of my own for 17 years until I sold it and was able to retire early, I do know how business works. I see when reading that there is one about them getting charged almost twice what was quoted. When you make a quote in business you live by it and learn for next time. Mr. Hill seems to be very angry and rude with his comments back. My wife and I thought they had come from a teenage girl. Very unprofessional. Will I ever go back there and do business with them, of course not. His wife in her private message to me said she would never recommend me to anyone.........umm, I'm retired so that's ok. I think I would just like them to be more honest and open, allow negative feedback, let people know it all, good AND bad. I do wish them well and maybe they can work past these issues.

Response from Hills Power Pro
Please note that ALL the work that was done for Cisco was done in September of 2016! I also have all the documents to submit that shows exactly what was done and that what he is claiming is completely false. I will attach each of the documents to explain any unanswered questions. I am also attaching the entire conversation with Cisco. He needs to realize that when I said I wouldn't recommend him that I meant that I would not recommend him as a customer to any of the business owners that we know due to his extreme actions. I responded privately in a message as to try to avoid embarrassing him due to his complete ignorance of what he is referring to. It is true that I have known of him and "tried" to be friendly to him since we were teenagers. This is the straw that broke the camels back. He has been banned not only from our store but from social media as well. He has stated on social media that he is mentally ill, bipolar and off his medication and he has made threats as you can see in the conversation attached. This is the conversation: "Jul 15th, 1:58pm-Cisco [Member Name Removed]-I am very very sorry [Member Name Removed]. I am having new mulching blades and baffle and tune up done. You guys really priced yourself out of any further work. I ran a business as well as you know. I ate little costs like pickup and drop off. That was nickel and dimming. Enjoy your lake house. [Member Name Removed]-Sorry you feel that way. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-You still don't see that? Cisco [Member Name Removed]-money is an ugly thing [Member Name Removed]-Look. I'm not going to argue over prices. They are set where they need to be for our industry. If you don't agree with it that's fine. The rate for Shelbyville is 85 round trip. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-HMMM, $75 last year Linda-Yes and it had been that for years and was time to reevaluate. Like I said. You don't have to agree. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-tell you what, I may quibble a little over price. I do not however have any issue renting a billboard close to your business telling people you are crooks. I don't want anything from you at all. [Member Name Removed]-Wow. Really. You do not have to use our pick up and delivery service if you don't want to. And I'm not a crook. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-Lot's of others in the business and later this week I will be over there to look for a billboardyou think you have expendable income, wanna trade numbers Linda-What's wrong with you today? Just stop. Have a good day. I'm going to. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-ohh there is not a thing wrong. I do have an issue with a business (successful as I am told by one of the owners) not realize that there is a thing called COGS, directly write able on the taxes. It is the little things you do for your customers. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-You all don't seem to care for your customers, it is all about what we can make. Not sure how I am going to put you out of business yet. So many options and enough money to do any of them. Tired of talking to you. Tue 2:36pm Cisco [Member Name Removed]-I just posted to Hill's FB page after calling in trying to get some information that honestly should have been logged when it came in there. Thought so much of you and was very happy that you were doing so well. If this is how you have to make money for all your things, very saddening. You guys need to be stand up and let my post be shown. 10:33am [Member Name Removed]-I just got to say a few things. I do and will continue to enjoy my lake home which you have no idea about the heartaches that came with this home. We lost every single possession and our home and a dog to a house fire that put me where I am today. We have always worked hard even before we had the business and always had toys to play with when we were off so you can get the idea out of your head that I'm depending on the business to pay for my already paid for toys. Let's start at the beginning. To begin with you have shown your complete ignorance about this industry. The more you say the more you show it. And I'm really surprised about that with you because I thought you were smart enough to not get into a battle over something you are not educated about. I was very wrong! That being said, pick up and delivery is a service that this industry provides and charges for. The vehicle, trailer, insuring them, liability insurance as well as the employee that has to be paid while driving back and forth twice and gas is all an expense that doesn't get "written off" like you're silly suggestion recommends. Every dealer around charges pickup and delivery, Christopher equipment rents trailers and we sell trailers and "most" people have a friend with a trailer or a truck and bring it in themselves and keep in mind this all started over a $10 increase in the fee that you have soooooo many other options to choose from. And as far as your push mower not even having a filter and not needing serviced. Wow how funny!!!! You really need to educate yourself before you attempt to find someone else to do business with because you'll eventually spread your name around to where no one will want to do business with you. And I will definitely not recommend any decent business owner to you again after seeing how you've behaved. You've called me a crook and said that I ripped you off. I want nothing to do with your kind. So no I will not allow your uneducated comments on my page nor will I allow you to talk to me the way you have. Good riddance. Cisco [Member Name Removed]-You ate a woman... ..know your place first of all. I was always above board with my clients. I would normally give them a complete list of things needed for them to purchase so I didn't have to tax them. In Florida what we did was a service which isn't taxable. I don't want to know your industry... ... ... .too much manual labor for me. People not liking me? Well that has never bothered me, I don't give a rip about them already. There were other mowers on that trailer, did everyone get charged full price? Heck of a money maker. Truth is hard i know. There are other places where I can leave my opinion of your business. You be sure to take care of you all. I will go back to playing poker. This dribble bores me. [Member Name Removed]-I know my place and it's a happy place so go away and be miserable and angry somewhere else Also a separate email was sent that includes a copy of his work orders and invoices for all work done as well as the comment he expected me to allow on Facebook.

Description of Work: Took my mower in to get serviced. Motor oil/filter change, hydrolic oil/filter change, air filter change, fuel filter change, and blades sharpened. The price charged to perform this was insane. Charged me 2 hrs labor @ $65.00 a hr. Charged me $65.00 to discard the used motor oil. The new oil put into my mower didn't cost that much! Everyone I spoke to there acted as if I was a hinderence instead of a paying customer. Totally unprofessional and just a overall bad experience. They will never get another dollar from me.

This is so strange because he was happy while in our store. To be clear about this he wanted a full spring service on a commercial lawnmower that has to be done once a year and to have the hydraulic oil and filters changed on it which is only required to do every 400 hrs. The parts totaled $128.45 which included a lot of items, $130 labor at $65 per hour for 2 hours. Which is flat rate, and $3.00 EPA fee to dispose of all the fluids that were changed and $25.49 in tax which I can't control. we have been in business for 15 years last month and have grown each year, [member name removed] can take his business elsewhere if this is how he is going to act. I can't stand 2 faced people like him. He couldn't have gotten this done any cheaper or any faster than what we did. I just called him and he said everything was good and he had no complaints Then I mentioned his comments on here and he called me a ** for calling him out on it. Whatever, he's not allowed to come back in. Go be an *** to someone else. Nathan Hill

I was told when I dropped off my pressure washer to put down $30 upon completion I would owe an additional $100.. That was on 10/21 I called that Friday to check on progress , was told a part had to be ordered and it would be ready Monday. I have still not heard from anyone so called again on 11/06 and was told it was ready but the wheels had fallen off? My sister and I rolled this to my car to load and it was unloaded at Hills Prower Pro with wheels intact! They called back to say the wheels were fixed and I could come to pick it up. While checking out I was asked for almost double my original quote, explaining they had spent an extra hour labor fixing the wheel and my carberatoer was more expensive than they thought it would be. Would it have been to much to ask to read the notes and call to ask if I wanted the "more" expensive one? I was informed they could take the carberatoer off and I could only pay the original quote? My handicap mother the whole time is waiting in the car and wouldn't be able to wait while this was being done so i paid $216.09. One of the guys offered to bring it around to load for me but was told that I could drive around to pick it up " they didn't want it to leak on the showroom floor" Really I'm hauling it in a 2014 Escape and your worried about your floor? The whole experience was handled so UN professional, I would never recommend anyone to go to this business!

We take a $30 deposit on all equipment, nothing new, we never quoted a price at drop off because we didn't know how much it would be, that's what the $30 was for. The pressure washer had been sitting for along time, the carburetor was corroded inside, the gas tank was full of old gas and funk, the fuel lines were dry rotted and cracked, the air filter and spark plug had never been change. The unit was in poor condition. The wheels on the unit have a push cap that's suppose to keep them on which is a poor design. When we moved the unit one of the wheels came off, we could have replaced with the same crappy push caps but instead we drilled holes in the axle and installed washers and cotter pins to ensure they wouldn't come off again. Also we don't have control of how long it takes for parts to come in, we ordered a new carburetor and it took longer than estimated to get here. We strive to run a good reputable business but you CAN NOT please everybody no matter how hard you try. We also agreed to remove the new carb and all the parts and let her have it back at no charge but she wouldn't do that she would rather go and complain on social media instead of handling it the grown up way. Also we charge flat rate on all our repaires so if she doesn't like what she was charged she should take it up with the manufacturer, the made the flat rate chart.
