Hice's Pool & Spa Service

Problem still exists. Hice blames the customer, then comes up with an excuse as to why he feels justified in, abusing his customers. Hice response: I refuse to crawl into the pit that Mr. Barton has chosen to lie in and exchange insults. This complaint has now evolved to attacking my character therefore I will not entertain this behavior. But I will address one simple remark that Mr. Barton stated about us not being able to know if his spa was leaking due to it raining. He said and I quote "that would have been a lie, due to the fact it had been raining and it would have been impossible to tell if it was leaking." The rain would not have prevented the detection of a piece of equipment leaking nor would the lack of rain enhance it. The 2nd leak was coming from his jet pump due to a failed shaft seal. The jet pump is located inside the equipment area (which is the same area) where we repaired the light that was leaking upon our service call. When we left the job Mr. Barton's spa was heating and was not leaking from anywhere which is what he called us for. It's unfortunate that it developed another leak due to a failed shaft seal after our call but it happens to aging equipment. Therefore to do the repair to his spa would constitute the cost of the part and the labor to do the repair. I don't think that any more explanation from me is necessary unless you the BBB needs it. Therefore I will not be responding to any of Mr. Barton insults or charter bashing comments. Grace & Peace Gerald Hice DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CLOWN !!!!!

Hice's pool overcharges on their service. The last maintenance the performed was parts for my pump motor. I was charged double what the part actually costs. Three times I had to add water to my pool because parts were not tightened and I complained because I have to keep adding water to the pool for their stupid mistakes. Mr Hice got upset complaining I was calling him stupid. I wasn't calling him stupid. I was complaining about stupid mistakes. I'm on city water and have to pay everytime I have to add water to this pool. Since we had this talk a week ago my pump stopped working. When I checked my pump it had a large dent on the top of the motor housing. I had to buy a new pump today, and not from Mr Hice. I also found out they were charging me quite a bit more than I should have been paying for their weekly service. I am finished doing business with him. I should have researched before I bought from Hice's pool spa and patio.
