I just used their online tool to estimate the costs to replace my driveway. I liked their website and their online driveway replacement cost calculator was invaluable to myself and my cousin in evaluating each of our driveway replacement costs. The only reason we did not use this contractor, was that we both live outside of their service area...way outside. I found them in a Google search and would have used them if we lived in their area. I gave them a 'B' rating only because I thought their estimated prices were higher than I was willing to pay in this area, and only for that reason. It should in no way reflect poorly on their actual work, quality, or professionalism. If their website is any indication, they should be top-notch contractors! No fly-by-night contractor would educate their customers so well or give them so much information up-front. I just tried to find it again, but couldn't. Came out and checked over what had to be done and I never heard from him again......not even a phone call!

When we moved here, this area was between our house and our pool. We could not see our pool from our house. I had two stepping stone paths on either side of the pond that I was constantly having to maneuver in order to maintain the pool. The area was overgrown and leaves, branches, and pond grasses were always dropping in the pool. We have woods behind the pool, so this just added to the pool maintenance. It just became too much to deal with. I spent more time skimming the pool than enjoying it. JD Dudley Concrete Works solved our problems! They came at the time we agreed on and proceeded to work on clearing the area. We were amazed at the progress they made on the first day. They cut down the trees, removed the stumps; cleared the bushes, ivy and pond grasses; and loaded and placed the heavy rocks where we wanted. They graded and filled in the hole from the pond. They had to take up a fence post in order to get the equipment close to the area. By the end of the day we had a open view of the pool and no evidence of the jungle ( our name for the area). They returned a few days later due to the rain. We thought we would have to place a step getting up to the concrete already around the pool, but they took the extra time, skill and trouble to grade the concrete in order to make it evenly matched. They fixed the fence back. The next day they used the pressure washer to expose the pea gravel. They allowed for drainage so that it would not flow into the pool. Today the patio was sealed and we are very pleased and satisfied. My husband actually sat down and enjoyed the view for the first time in a long while. Before he looked at and quot;the jungleand quot; and only saw the work it needed. Thank you, JD Dudley and your team for the excellent job, professionalism, skill and friendliness! The city or utility company had torn up the yards in the subdivision in Oct. of 2011 through Jan. of 2012. In March 2012 they laid out straw with grass in it. With all the rain in the winter and spring the trenches on both sides of my driveway filled up with dirt and grass grew on top of it. In Aug. I happened to notice my driveway had washed away underneath halfway in length and depth. I contacted the city to come and dig the trenches on either side of my driveway before I had my driveway poured. The city was busy and were not able to come dig the trenches at the time. Towards the middle of Oct. I was getting worried, I needed a new driveway before it became to cold to pour concrete. I called J. D. Dudley for an estimate. He gave me an estimate on the driveway and building a trench on one side of the driveway. He gave me an estimate but stated it might be more because he really couldn't tell exactly how far back the driveway was missing until he pulled up the old driveway so it might cost more than the original estimate. He also stated he could put piping in the trench and then cover the top with dirt. Of course the ends are open wide for water to flow threw. He also raised my driveway in case of flash flooding and it still comes down from the garage so rain won't run into the garage. J.D. and his crew were so professional. He was punctual. His estimate was to the tee. He also suggested a wash out valve and told me exactly how much that would cost. My driveway is so much fun to drive on. It's like driving on a smooth interstate. I get complements on it all the time. My neighbors tell me how nice it looks and it improved the look of the neighborhood. I have had people stop and asked who poured my driveway it looks so good, and they definitely want to use the same person when they have their driveway paved.
