I had some broken soffits from squirrel damage that needed to be replaced in a quick time period. I called Newsom Roofing and Jason came out and looked at the work that needed to be completed. He called me back with the estimate for the work. He completed the work for me very quickly. The price for what I needed was extremely fair and I was totally happy with the quality workmanship. I would definitely recommend this person to anyone.

I was very pleased with the way the scheduling was handled. He came and looked at theproblem saw a couple of places I had not noticed. Sent me an estimate of the cost. Came fixed the problem and checked out the condition of my roof while he was up there. Very professional and friendly. I am very satisfied with his workmanship.

I worked remotely with Jason Newsom to agree on service and select the shingle colors. He and his team went out of their way to provide me information by taking pictures of before and after, sending them to me through the process. Jason kept me up to date. He impressed me as an honest, fair and trustworthy businessman. He did what he said he would do, the work was done quickly and they cleaned up the area well.

The installation of the roof was fast & good but the replacing of flashing, painting & gutters was very bad. We did have a lot of rain last month. I feel they took to long to complete the rest of the work. I was called 2 or 3 times stating they would be there a certain day. No show, no call. After the painting was done they had to come back due to cracks & gaps. They didn"t caulk everything. When they came to collect their money they said they saw a couple of places that needed touch-ups. Haven't seen them since.

Jason did everything he said he would do, and a little more. He was a good communicator, always kept me informed, and he did the job he said he was going to do, in the time frame he had told me. Jason was always good humored, friendly and professional. His work Crew was great as well. The were quite, non obtrusive, polite and did a great job. I definitively would recommend Newsom Roofing, and would be happy to use them again. Thank You Jason for such a good job. P.S. They showed up exactly when promised and were finished promptly. No hassles, just great service. They also easily worked with my insurance provider with my best interest in mind. We now have a roof that we can depend on and be proud of for many years.

One word: amazing! Very responsive, punctual, and professional. His original estimate was fully detailed and he even counted in the removal of an old capped chimney (something we wanted done, but forgot to mention). He walked us through all of the details and even explained how much roof decking would be replaced. The day of the service they showed up early (as expected) and worked hard all day into early evening...was fantastic to see the team at work so diligently. Cleaned up after themselves completely. I found only one small nail wedged in the corner of the foundation dirt, which, when you consider it was a complete tear off, was pretty amazing. He installed long lasting, well built shingles that look great. The work was excellent and we love our new roof. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs roof work done. Wish more contractors could be so professional, timely, and diligent.

.Jason was very easy to work with. Contacted Jason one day about having our roof looked at due to leak that developed in garage. . He happened to be in our area and stopped by to look at roof, etc . Within a couple of days we had the estimate. Upon accepting his estimate he scheduled a day to install shingles etc. . They had to do some carpentry work on roof to correct design problem by original home builder, however, the roof was still completed in one day. We are very pleased with new roof.

I am hard to please; slow to trust; and have learned that it's simply easier to learn to do things myself...until I met JASON NEWSOM OF NEWSOM ROOFING. For those who don't want to read the entire review, I will summarize by saying that he, his lead guy Jeff, AND HIS CREW were Punctual; Affordable; Respectful; Trustworthy; Patient; Fast; Neat; Detailed; Responsive; Appreciative; Honest; Used Initiative; Cost Conscious; Prepared; English speaking; Good Hygiene; Etiquettely Conscious; Dog Friendly; Flexible and one of the few vendors left who care more about their reputation and quality of work than a profit. They use top of the line products that come with LIFE-TIME warranties and are the only company I found who offer a 10 YEAR WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY that IS TRANSFERRABLE to a new owner. I must add that my trust issues are so severe, that I, yes a girl, was all over that 3 story roof in the beginning, middle and after repair was completed. Anyone I hired was going to have to be very tolerant AND secure because nothing was going to get past me! I received several different quotes for what was originally a leak around a fireplace and had been repaired three prior times. One quote was for yet another overpriced patch job, only they also said I needed to do all three of the chimneys (not true). Another said I needed a whole new roof, met with the insurance company and convinced them of the same thing (Only 14 years old). Although I was somewhat grateful, this now meant filing a claim with my insurance company (1st ever); and I became suspicious when they attempted to go directly through the insurance agent to find out how much money had been approved once I discovered that I would be given the payment directly and have to make all of the decisions myself. They literally tried to stall giving me a quote hoping to learn how much insurance was approving first. Since I was purposefully withholding that information at the advice of the insurance agent and they weren't giving me the quote, I decided to get another quote so I would at least have something to compare to. I should mention that this roofing company was actually a friend/client who I assumed I could trust and I was now feeling obligated to hire. This is when I found Newsom Roofing on Angie's List. I simply told them I wanted a quote for replacing the roof and was blown away by how quickly they responded AND came out to give me a quote (with me on their heels three stories high). They were also the ONLY company from Angie's List that replied via text like I requested. Their quote fell within the amount that insurance was approving and they were prepared to begin that week with an estimate of 3 days to complete. The only thing they had asked for was a copy of the measurements the insurance agent used to make sure they were accurately quoting me on the same anticipated work. They never asked how much, etc. I also learned that being a $40,000 roof, the insurance check would have to be held in trust by Wells Fargo who held the mortgage on the house (NOT a fan of Wells Fargo, especially after this experience, but that's another story). This meant that Wells Fargo would "feed" me the money in installments so they could send inspectors out periodically to make sure I was spending the money on the roof and it was being done correctly. Which also meant that the roofers would probably have to stop/delay work to meet Wells Fargo's requirements and also have to wait longer to get payment (If you are familiar with the way mortgage companies work, they seem to have a law written that gives them a right to have 5-7 days in between every move, phone call, or sip of water that they take). Newsom Roofing was completely agreeable, familiar with the process, and empathetic through the process as well. When I told the original roofing company that I had requested another quote since they weren't responding, they miraculously sent me an over budget quote, using lessor quality materials, and only minimums which left no room for unexpected repairs, etc. (which ended up being significant) and only offered a 3 year non-transferrable workmanship warranty!!!! I was blown away. I went with Jason Newsom and couldn't be happier. They lived up to everything they promised and even handled outside contractors when we learned that some adjustments would need to be made to some faulty gutters. Additionally, after everything was done and I saw how nice the new topper to the one (approved) chimney looked, although not necessary, I wanted new ones for the other two chimneys. Without a blink of an eye, Jason measured, ordered and installed within the following week (and they had to be custom because of awkward size). My home was a true Southern Mansion and apparently, Jason's crew was so impressive that they caught the eyes of an out of town family looking to buy a home in the area. The family begged their agent to see if maybe the roof was being done to also prep the house for sale. Ironically, I had been trying to sell for 6 years and was about to put the house back on the market. In the end, that family purchased my home prior to having to list it. The 30 day escrow landed me in a rental home, and I intend to use Jason and Jeff for all roof inspections on prospective homes. My final comments should not be taken as expected in any way but I feel like I have to share. Jason Newsom had come in just under the amount allotted to me by the insurance company. I decided early on that if they lived up to their promises, I would bonus them the remaining money; and was so thrilled to be able to do so. I even, at his objection, trusted and fronted him the final payment prior to receiving it from Wells Fargo because I didn't feel it was fair for him to have to wait. Once I received the final payment, which required his signature to deposit, Jason came by same day to sign even though he had already been paid and could have waited until it was convenient for him or even not at all. It was this visit that I realized he had not given me a statement for the gutter repairs and additions that I made after the job was completed and he said he would forward it in the mail. The only thing I got in the mail was the "Paid In Full" Statement which now included the gutters and chimney caps!!! When confronted, he said he was so grateful for the unexpected bonus for he and his staff and had enjoyed working with me so much that he was not charging me for the additional work. I was humbled and grateful, however, still plan to pay him whether he likes it or not. Life as a homeowner would be so much easier if there were more vendors like Jason Newsom and the staff of Newsom Roofing.

They did a great job for the work. While they were here, they also noticed other loose pieces of siding and nailed those back together.

They were very punctual and did just what they said. There workers were very professional and did the job quickly and efficiently. If they found a problem, they quickly communicated the issue and offered a reasonable and cost effective solution. I truly appreciate the honesty, integrity and professionalism of the Owner Jason and his staff. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

Great communication and repaired it as soon as weather permitted. We highly recommend... they were honest and priced very fair. They did not try to upsell me on anything - just take care of the problem.

Mr. Newsom was quick to respond to phone calls and schedule a free estimate. His team arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner also. I had forgotten to ask him about another small job and I had tight time restraints. He was able to work in the small job allowing it to be completed several days before I moved. His team was professional, courteous, and did excellent work. They even noticed and replaced a third plumbing boot that the house inspector had missed. The price was very reasonable also and I will definitely use them in the future!

Jason was very professional he took his time doing his measurements and looking at the roof line and gutters. when I said Jason did a full inspection he did..... then Jason sat down and explain to the consumer what issues he had on the roof. In detail. then he ask what type of shingles architectural or non architectural,What color and if we wanted drip edge and then what the cost would be.. which was very fair.. I will keep using jason Roofing because he's very professional and he is very fair in his price.

My roof was leaking into my family room. I used Angie's List to find a roofing contractor and selected Newsom. My call to them was returned that same day and three individuals were on site the next day to inspect my roof. They focused on the area of the leak but also inspected the rest of the roof. I told them that my roof was about 15-16 years old. Their inspection took about 30 minutes. I was concerned they were going to tell me I needed my whole roof replaced. Instead they told me that they had found the leak and it could be repaired and mentioned some other areas that needed minimal repair. One of the individuals told me he felt I had 2-3 years of life in my existing roof. Jason explained exactly what they believed needed to be done to repair the leak........removing existing shingles, installing ice and water shield in the roof valley, installing new shingles at the valley, installing new step flashing, ice and water shield, new shingles and new siding at the area below the valley repair, paint new siding. I asked him a lot of questions about shingle type, metal roofs, etc all of which he answered in terms I could understand.....including the two ways shingles are installed on roofs and which is the better way to do it. He told me he would provide a proposal to me by the next day. He did just that and interestingly provided one proposal to fix only the leak and a second proposal to fix the leak and complete other needed tasks when he could have just provided the second proposal which was obviously more expensive. We agreed on the second proposal. Jason told me it would be about 4 days before he could do the work which I agreed on. IMPORTANT: two days later heavy rain was forecast. Jason called me and said he and one of his men would be out that evening to put in a temporary fix so my roof would not leak during the heavy rain before they could complete the the permanent work. Late that evening they came by and did just that......my roof did not leak during the rain. They came back as scheduled and did the permanent work in two days and did a very good job cleaning up. The work looks good and my roof does not leak. I was billed exactly what we had originally agreed on even though they came out and did a temporary fix knowing heavy rain was predicted. Jason and his men communicated well with me during the whole project so I knew what the plan was and when it would occur. If you want a roofing contractor who does things right, goes out of their way to serve the customer and does so at a fair price then all you need to know is Newsom's phone number. I now have a roofing contractor I can depend on to do anything I may need in the future including eventually a new roof. This situation also confirmed my decision to join Angie's List!

I had hired a handyman to install three wind turbines we needed to cool the attic area. Though the handyman is a good guy he did not know how to install the turbines correctly. I used Angieslist to find a roofing who could correct the problem. I was very impress with Newsom Roofing. They sent someone out to properly install the turbines the same day I called. I will use Newsom Roofing anytime I need work on my roof AND to replace my roof when needed.

Newsom Roofing came to our home quickly in response to our call about a roof leak. They took a look and saw exstensive hail damage and a disintegrated boot at plumbing vent. They did a quick caulk repair that stopped the leak and submitted a complete, detailed bid to replace our roof on both our home and our workshop. We wound up using Newsom and have been very happy with the installation of GAF architectural shingles on both the house and the workshop, new ridge vent on house and replaciement of damaged decking on the workshop. Jason stayed involved in the process every step of the way. They tore off the old roof completely and I have to say were quite obsessive about the clean up process. Jason and Bob even returned again the following week with magnets and leafblowers to make sure every possible roofing nail had been found and removed.

It when very well. It has rained and no leaks. I am having the master BR ceiling re-done now since the leaking had ruined the ceiling. I am satisfied.

Jason was professional from start and willing to work with insurance company. Roof looks great. Cant wait to see new gutters.
