Jack was great to work with. He worked with me on scheduling to meet my timetable, made sure we had all the right permits, and was very responsive at every contact. The crew was professional and the craftsmanship on the deck beyond superb. Jack and his crew took real pride in the work and it showed in every detail from lumber selection to finishing. I was really impressed and I've spent nearly every evening since the deck was completed sitting out and enjoying the new space.

We requested an estimate from this builder for a little outbuilding we were having constructed. He came by and spent over an hour discussing in detail the building, drew sketches, asked lots of questions, etc. Then, he never got back to us with the estimate. We called once and he said he'd had out of town company, and would get back with us and quot;soon.and quot; We never heard from him. We had someone else build the outbuilding. The only reason I say I would use him again is that, if we ever get the deck and porch we want built onto this house, we will call him again for an estimate, since we have seen his work (friends' home) and liked it. Please note: the date above is to the best of my recollection and not a certain date. All this happened last fall.

We knew exactly what to expect from Cornerstone Builders, as they had built us a deck at another home in 1988. So, when we needed a deck this time, we checked around to see if they were still in business. They were. We remembered their name because it was taken from a Bible verse. We scheduled an appointment with them, we signed the papers that day, and the deck was completed 2 days later. They suggested ways to minimize costs, construction was quick and neat, and the deck looks great. Neighbors approached us to compliment us on the deck, and a visitor even asked if our house was for sale. and quot;Not until after New Year's' we're doing some remodeling work right now,and quot; we responded. So then they asked what the selling price would be. Jack and Judy Cook are nice folks who take pride in their decks. If you need a deck, get two estimates, but make sure one of the estimates is from Cornerstone. Expect their prices to be in line with everyone else's, but remember that their work is exceptional, they are very helpful, and they are so nice to deal with!
