+ 0 moreYou must make sure that every cabinet on a proposed drawing is explained to you in detail before you "sign-off". Since we were not professionals at reading the proposed drawing, we did not realize that they did not accurately reflect what we had discussed with the representative. What follow was an example of terrible customer service. I have never been treated so poorly by a company I was doing business with. Make them explain every cabinet in detail and face to face so you can be assured that you will get what you wanted.

+ -1 moreThey import Chinese cabinets. They are good for low price cabinets. They were the ones with the lowest price in the area. If anyone is looking out for custom sized cabinets and different sizes I would not advise them to go there. They have only standard sizes but their prices are very low. I would use their services in the future also.
Description of Work: I used Timberland Cabinetry Co. services for cabinet services. I purchased cabinets from them. I used their services in 2010 in August.

+ -1 moreseveral emails/visits w sales rep to price out kitchen. Cabinets seem to be of good quality and good features for the price. You can see their webpage for those. The rep (Marianna) was very quick to respond to questions and change requests. I had a basic design idea already laid out which we embellished a little. (A "g"shape-3 walls and peninsula). Price including granite was <15,000. Downside is limited door syle, which may be how they can keep prices low. We ended up not using this company mostly due to a style difference and a glowing recommendation from a friend for another company whose cabinets we just liked a little better. (Same construction on paper, but in person the fit/finish/hardware just seemed nicer). However, I also had a friend recommend this company as well. And I would definitely recommend a consultation with them. If when we get around to doing the bathrooms, I'll probably call them back again.

+ -1 moreI assembled the cabinets in a (3) day long weekend. It took longer to ensure we had all the parts than to actually assemble the cabinets. This time included pre-assembling each and every cabinet and disassembling again before using glue and brad nails so, someone who is familiar with cabinet building could do this in weekend or less quite easily. The order was filled accurately with the exception of two items missing which were roll-out trays for spice rack and garbage cans which are being sent to us. If you are in the process of a kitchen remodel, send them your quote and see what Timberland comes back with. It saved us $12,000 +. For the price HD, Lowe's and some other local contractors quoted, the kitchen would not have been done. If you would like to see photos and/or the quotes contact me at kencoley1@yahoo.com.
Description of Work: We initially went to Home Depot (HD) and Lowe's in Knightdale to get a kitchen remodel quote. HD came back with $18,950 for cabinets only, no installation or countertops included in this quote. Lowe's pricing was on par with HD. We searched local vendors and the web and still continued to get similar pricing. The most competitive pricing was from was from Builders Products on Atlantic for $14,000. My wife happened upon onlinecabinetsdirect.com and Shane was able to design our kitchen from the layout we sent to him. Coincidently, my brother in-law's new job moved his family to Nashville, TN and the home they bought was in Franklin, TN which is where Timberland Cabinetry Co is located. So, we waited to finalize our purchase of the cabinets until we could see the cabinets in person. During our family visit we went to the Timberland showroom and it is just as impressive as anyone's I've been in and the quality was just the same as any high-end cabinet. Cabinet construction is morticed solid wood face frames, morticed solid plywood boxed, slow-close drawers are solid wood and dovetailed construction. The pricing is really key because onlinecabinetsdirect took the HD layout and came back with a price of $5,600 for the same cabinet layout. With such a saving we added more cabinetry and some additional custom add-ons for $6,500.
