Sparkle Pressure Washing

I hired Sparky to complete 4 pressure washing/sealing projects in April 2020. One of those projects was pressure washing, resanding, and sealing my paver patio. He completed all 4 jobs but with 3 days the rain washed away the sand between the pavers (which shouldn’t happen). I sent him pictures of the wash out and he promised to fix it. I contacted him every week or two to see when he could fix the patio. He finally sent someone out in July (3 months later) to resand the patio. The worker returned two days later to seal the patio. It rained in those two days and washed out the sand again so he did not seal it. I contacted Sparky to see when the patio could be fixed/finished. He said he would be back out the next week. By late August, Sparky had stop responding to my texts. I asked him for a partial refund for the portion that related to the patio. He responded and said he would be out next week to resand and seal again. It is now October (6 months later) and he never showed or followed up with me. I’m disappointed I paid for a job that was not completed and now I have to pay someone else finish this job.

Gary & Sparky did a great job on my house. I texted them on a Wednesday and by Saturday the whole job was done. They were both very personable and took the time to answer my questions. My windows were washed at no additional cost and the siding and deck could not look better. Sparky and Gary know their trade, and the result was a clean, detailed, and time-efficient job. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

Being a single woman I felt berated by his mannerism and response to my complaints. The scope of work was not completed in a professional manner. Removal of the debris was only partly done so I had to finish the removal of debris. My neighbor had to come finish the gate to make it work correctly. My pickets are already working loose and the project is less that 2 months off. Top of pickets are starting to twist. One gate bracket is install crooked and doesn't line up with the one directly opposite of it. Left one old fence post in the ground and every fence post that was installed has concrete exposed at ground level. He has been paid in full and is unresponsive to my concerns. I have photos but couldn't get them to load. 8/18/20 Update to review: Upon further conversation with Marc, he was willing to come out and for the most part correct the complaints but at this stage of the game, he will not be able to come onto my property with his crew. I will take care of the issues myself.

Great from beginning to end. Explained pros and cons of different stains and the durability of each on my wood deck around my above ground pool. Would recommend without a doubt. Will call again when needed.

This is lengthy because I have a lot I would like to say. This seemed like a daunting project for me. I have a large deck, partially enclosed and screened, and the rest open and exposed to weather extremes. The open part gets no sun in the winter so it's prone to mildew. It gets burning sun in the summer. The unenclosed space was in bad shape and needed stripping and staining but the enclosed space is ok for now. Marc "Sparky" Glinstra quoted the job back in April for what I felt was a very reasonable price. How do you do this project without making a mess of the inside? He accomplished exactly that and I couldn't be happier. The inside and outside are different color stains (planning to do the inside later) and there is absolutely no stain or overspray anywhere to be found inside and no screen damage. Even though this was quoted in April, the work was completed July 5, but that was no fault of Sparky. I had vacation, driveway resurfacing, and unexpected street paving going on and he was dealing with that along with stormy weather and rain for two months. When he started, he even threw in a chemical spray cleaning of some mildew on the back of the house for no charge, and also repaired some broken lattice. He kept a constant eye on the weather and wouldn't do work when rain threatened. The payment was less than the original quote because of the type of stain and stripping that needed to be done. When does that ever happen? He also knew we were having an outdoor gathering July 6 and made the deadline. This guy is good folks. Thank you very much Sparky. I really appreciate your honesty. I feel like I got a steal considering what I would have paid just for stain, not to mention the back breaking do it yourself job this would have been for me.

After I first contacted them in February, they had an open time and did the work right away as we were trying to get done before a mid March party. Unfortunately the weather forecasters were wrong, surprise, and it rained that afternoon and then for 5 days straight. With of our type of deck wood and all the the rain, the stain did not hold and really looked bad. I contacted Sparky and sent pics and was told they would make it right. Because of all the rain we have had this spring they kept waiting for several days of forecasted dry weather which we did not seem to have but a few times this spring. After stripping the deck and staining, it looks great and is holding up perfectly.

Paid $62 to reserve an Angie's List deal for a pressure wash for the exterior of my home in November 2017. Total cost would be $179 if it's ever done. Over the last 11 months, I've tried a half dozen or more times to get him to honor the deal. He would never commit to a specific date. Instead, he has told me on more than a few occasions that he'd get to it "in the next couple weeks." It has now been nearly a year, and it still hasn't been done. Getting pretty frustrated. I'll come back and change the grade if the job is ever actually completed.

This is the second time I used Sparkle Pressure Washing. They did a great job both times.

Sparky came out to give me an estimate on removing the Rust Oleum Advanced 10x product that was on my deck. It was bubbling up in places, and rotting parts of my 5 year old deck. As an aside, never put this product on your deck. It ruined mine and is impossible to remove. At first he thought he could remove it by using the product that Rust Oleum recommended, but it didn’t work. So he said he could flip the boards on the deck and steps and stain them. When he started flipping them, he and his crew realized that most of the boards were compromised, so the only option was to replace it all. They did so, and also improved my stairway so that it was safe, as the contractor who put them in previously cut corners, resulting in an unstable stairway. They did so much extra work and did it with a smile on their face every time they came out. Sparky, Gary, and Chuck were kind, professional and did fantastic work. They are coming back to do some outdoor paining for me that is needed. I highly recommend them! See before and after pic.

I called Marc for an estimate to clean and stain my deck and to power clean my driveway. I have a large driveway and large deck. I was quoted an excellent prices to have both of these done. The day he came out to do the driveway and deck he went right to work and didn't waste time. He power washed the deck and drive and came back the next day to stain the deck. As I was speaking with after he had finished power washing the deck and drive way we discussed possibly doing my fence. He gave me such a good price on the fence I didn't even have to think about it. He came back the next day, stained the deck, cleaned the fence and touched up the stain that was already on the fence. I am very happy with the finished product and would recommend Sparkle Pressure Wash to my friends and anyone else looking for a great professional job.

Initial communication was a little lacking; I was told this was partly due to a glitch with AngiesList. Appointment was eventually made for "mid-morning," and Gary arrived about when I expected. He finished in about an hour. I would have liked exterior decorations (wind chimes, etc.) hung back in their place, but not a major issue. He also provided a quote for cleaning of aggregate driveway and walkway. Considering hiring again for that.

Prompt reply to call. Showed up on time. Diligent work, including hard to reach areas. Owner stopped by next day to collect check. Pleased to see through window that he inspected the work himself. This business cares about its reputation.

Great! Their was a slight problem with the loss of my contact information utilization, but we were able to get that rectified! He pressure washed our house today, and he did an outstanding job!!! We had not had our house pressure washed until now, and despite the years of dirt and debris accumulation, he was able to make our house look like it did when we bought it!
