#1 thing you should know about Mr Nixon, he takes pride in his work and workmanship and puts much forethought into the overall plan before starting, resulting in few to no surprises. We gave him a verbal description and specifications of what we wanted (medium sized deck with raised planter around one corner), we approved his detailed drawings and cost estimate, he finished on budget and schedule...we have a beautiful deck, exactly as we had described. A very pleasant experience.

John is truly a craftsman. We hired him in 2018 to build stairs feom our house to the Harpeth. It is on a steep slope and extremely difficult terrain. John knew what he was doing, correctly estimated and finished the job on time and in budget. His work is of the highest quality and he always showed up when he said he would. I highly recommend him for any carpentry projects.

John installed a new porch rail on our front porch. We went with the maintenance free aluminum. It's very sturdy and looks great. John finished before we thought, even after several problems resulting from the existing porch's construction. John is a real nice family man and we really like and trust him. Would I recommend him. Yes. I'm getting ready to call him for another project.
