After initially contracting the company to install my fence, work progressed slowly. Jody at first advised me that the company had a power auger, but when they came to dig, they chose to dig the holes by hand. The post were not set straight. And the fence is very , very crooked. The pickets were nailed using finish nails that are already pulling out from the wind. The crossbars that hold the pickets were not installed parallel. To each other. The reveal (the amount that shows above the top picket) varies from 1 to 6 inches. It should all be the same approx 6 inches. Hinges for the gates were not attached to the structural posts in all cases. There is a hinge that is screwed to a picket. Incorrect building procedure. Within a week there were problems with both gates. And promises were made to repair. This was never rectified, even though I had requested help with the problem 4 times over 6 weeks. The gate was not capable of keeping my dog in, which was the reason I got the fence in the first place. After six week had passed, and still not seeing any movement by the company, I put 3 wood screws in the gate, and installed cables to hold the gates up off the ground. During a lawn maintenence visit. The manager advised me that he would not fix the gates and my warranty was void because I screwed the gates together to keep them closed. He advised me the gates warped because of these screws (laughable) I have had other contractors look at the fence to advise about this and they concur that it isn't possible to make this happen by securing the gate with screws and that there were multiple items that were done improperly. This was an excuse to not do the right thing.
