It went well, besides surprise change in cost mid-stream.
Description of Work: Good work. Fast. Punctual. Price quoted was significantly lower than final cost.

We had siding damage due to the tornado that went through Murfreesboro on Good Friday. Since raw wood was exposed, I needed the siding fixed quickly. I called several companies, and JK Alexander called me back Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, they had shown up in their pickup truck. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I was a little concerned because the truck looked pretty old and beat up, and their clothes were dirty, and they looked like they'd lived pretty rough lives. Well, they looked at the damage and gave me an estimate of $150 to fix it. They said they'd try and get the piece bent Sunday (Easter Sunday), and be back out on Monday to replace it. At this point, I thought I'd probably never see them again, but at least I hadn't paid them anything. On Monday, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and installed a new piece that matched perfectly. While the man was up on the ladder, he noticed that some "roof tabs" had been blown out. I asked him what that meant, and he said "that means I have to get up on your roof and fix it". You have to understand...our house is a 3 stories tall, and the roof is extremely steep. Even if I had the courage to go up there, it's so steep I didn't think it'd be possible to crawl across it. He had only brought a ladder to fix the siding, and didn't have any of the equipment (safety and otherwise) he normally has when working on roofs. Well, he climbed up to the top of our 3 story house...slipping a little with each step, and started nailing down roof shingles. When he had finally made it down safely, I asked him what I owed him, and he said $150. Not only did he spend Easter morning bending a piece of siding for me, he also risked life and limb fixing my roof, which I didn't even know was damaged....and still only charged me the $150 he origianlly quoted. The insurance company later told me that most roofing & siding companies won't even come out for less that $200...and that's $200 for the roof, and then another $200 for the siding. Just so everyone understands...these people are the reason I joined Angie's List. I want to make sure as many people as possible know about them and give them all the business they can handle. They're just really good people, and you don't see that often enough.
