DON NOES PAINTING

I hired Don Noes because he quoted me about middle of the road on all offers, but promised me it would be done in a much faster timeframe than my lowest bid. We had a few problems with him but no showstoppers. He's a little eccentric: rather than email you a quote, he'll take the time to hand-write it in your kitchen. He also forgot which day he was coming to do the initial consult and had to reschedule. The first day his painter didn't show until 10 AM, and they took a long time on prep - after the first day of work they had done the trim around the doors and spackled the drywall, but nothing else. He originally said he'd be done in 4 days. At the end of the third day it looked like they would need more time, but he sent 8 men on day 4 to complete the job on time. The finished work is excellent, complete, and precise, and we were thrilled with the end result.

I hired Don Noes on the recommendation of my realtor. I am sorry I did. He took 2 hours to give us a handwritten quote (no email), wasn't on the job painting personally but had his crew here who spoke no English to communicate with them and played their music so loud I could not work. Upon arriving he told me the work would take 7 days instead of the 4 he quoted which meant going into the weekend even though they were working 12 hour days. His workers were so slow I could not believe anyone hired him for repeat business. I said that was unacceptable and that he needed to be done in 4 as we do not want our weekend bothered. He got verbally hostile with me and was very rude. I literally begged him to cut some things out so he could finish earlier and he refused. I had to have my husband call him and put him in his place as my husband was out of town I was scared to speak with him again and I was in tears. He obviously has no respect for women and I would never have him or his crew anywhere near me again as I was honestly scared for my safety after dealing with him.
