Where to start? Mr Cook has no skilled labor or licensed subcontractors. The painter had no experience and on every wall & ceiling I see roller marks. The painter was also assigned the project of crown molding, which he had never done & it's not a job for a beginner. He eventually got someone else to do that project that did have construction experience. The guy he subcontracted to tile the kitchen floor tiled over the existing floor instead of removing it. I have now been told that the tile will eventually crack as the original floor should have removed before installing the tile. I could not use the kitchen for 7 days as it took that long to tile the 6 x 10 space. Because the kitchen floor was now higher than the living room I had to re carpet the living room with a thicker carpet & pad to make the floors more or less the same level. I chose the pad that is thick and has a barrier for pet accidents. I recently received copies of Mr Cook's order form from Home Depot and he installed a builders grade pad, not the one I paid for. The kitchen light fixture was not installed properly and fell to one side about 2 inches. I called to have it fixed and he couldn't say when he could come but it would be a least 2 weeks. As I could see the wiring I was concerned about a fire hazard so I paid someone else to fix it. The french door leaked and he had ordered it out of California (or so he said) and it was guaranteed & he would have it replaced. Every time I ask him about it, he was still working on it. Mr Cook would not give me the name, number or contact at the company so I could contact them myself. At the end of it all, he still had not had a response from the company (doubt he was working very h****** this problem as this went on for a couple of months) & I was though with the entire process and wanted nothing more than to get them out of my home. The 18 month guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on (light fixture) & one has to wonder if he will still be in business in 18 months. The 3 week timeline he gave me turned into 5 months.
