They have not finished the work and will not come back. He will not answer my phone calls. When he did answer he would tell me he would show up but would not. The work he even did was not good quality. When we made the agreement, he said he would not ask to be paid in full until job is finished and we are satisfied. He had a guy helping him and he said the guy would be finished that afternoon and asked if we would pay him, which we did. Now the work is not completed.
Description of Work: He was to put vinyl siding on the fascia and trim with new medal on the detached garage. He was to wrap the front and back post. He was going to install new gable vent, remove front upper siding, install new siding in the upper front, new front ceiling and back porch ceiling, vinyl new soffit and fascia entire house. He was going to remove all scrapes from job site. He was also supposed to wrap 3 windows with vinyl.

Not well at all. I was in need of roof repair and was also interested in having window frames wrapped. Marcus came out to have a look at my concerns. It ended up that he was much more interested in selling me new windows. (My home inspector told me emphatically that I did not need new windows). In a follow-up phone call from Marcus two weeks later, I told him I would not be ordering new windows, but I DID want the roof repaired. He clearly was disappointed, said it would be "a small job" and that he'd try to get out to my house within a week to get things going. Nothing happened in that week. I called them and expressed my concern that I had been dropped because I wasn't ordering windows. The office manager assured me that was not the case and had me speak with Marcus again. Marcus said he'd see if "those boys" could fit me into their schedule that day (Friday). I never heard back on Friday or on the following Monday. I called them back and, once again, they had me speak with Marcus who gave me a bunch of double talk about never knowing what "those boys" are up to in their schedule. I told him I was disappointed that he hadn't called me back Friday or Monday, and that I was canceling my work order. He sounded totally OK with that. I wanted to give a neighborhood company my business, but they apparently couldn't care less if you're a "small job."
Description of Work: Marcus came out promptly to give me a couple of estimates. That was the best thing that happened.

They did a really job. They installed 3D shingles and the roof looks great. Their responsiveness was great and they really made an effort to adhere to our schedule, not theirs. They got the work done in one day. We're very pleased and would use them again.

Excellent price compared to other quotes. Work started three days after signing the contract. They were on time, finished in one day, and did an excellent job cleaning up behind themselves. The supervisor even came back a day later and washed the mud off my deck! The crew worked well together, like a well-oiled machine, and they communicated with us throughout the day. They took great care to protect my foundation shrubs and plants. I would definitely use them again, and have recommended them to our neighbors. One Caveat: when I contacted them originally, they did ask for the insurance paperwork, saying they had to give me a bid on everything the insurance company had listed. I refused to give it to them, and told them I just wanted an "honest" bid on replacing my roof. Once they realized they weren't going to get the insurance paperwork, they agreed to give me an estimate and it was significantly lower than the other three contractors we contacted.
Description of Work: Barlow Exteriors removed existing roof, installed 15# felt, replaced with ELK Prestige (30 yr.) shingles, including Ice Guard in the valleys, 11 exhaust vents, and two jack pipes.

BE REPAIRED BY A LICENSED CONTRACTOR. MANY TIMES THE CONTRACTOR CAN SUPPLEMENT THE CLAIM IF THERE WAS ITEMS MISSED BY THE INS. ADJUSTER AND MOST CASES BENEFIT THE HOMEOWNER. THERE HAVE BEEN CASES WHERE WORK NOT COMPLETED THE FIRST TIME GOT DAMAGED BY A SECOND HAIL STORM MUCH MORE SEVERE THAN THE FIRST TIME AND IT MAKES IT MUCH MORE DIFFICULT FOR THE HOMEOWNER TO COLLECT AGAIN SHOULD ANOTHER CLAIM HAVE TO BE FILED DUE TO ANOTHER STORM OR DAMAGES.
