We got three separate quotes in all. One from our orginal home builder for almost $9,000, one from a company we found in the yellow pages who quoted over $7,000 and one from Moore Concrete who agreed to do the work for $4,500. We were sceptical because the Moore price was so much lower but since they were recommended by our real estate agent we went with them. They were not the greatest at paperwork or punctuality but the work itself was pretty good. They came out one day to do the grading, form work and preparation. Then they poured and finished everything the next day. Then they came back and removed the forms and completed the job. Each time they arrived, it was a bit later than they said they would be there. The driveway turned out better than expected. Unfortunately it rained a bit later on in the day they poured, and the last section by the side of the house is pot marked, but they had no control of that, and we can live with it. The sidewalk to the shed turned out great! They ended up making it wider than they quoted, in order to meet the shed doors and be aesthetically pleasing, but they never charged us any extra for it. They were professional in their manner and work ethics while on the job site. I only wished they had cleaned up the concrete splatter on the shed and house siding. We paid them in full at job completion and I asked them to drop off, or mail us a bill and receipt for the work, but I have yet to receive that. And a few months after the work was done I noticed a hair line crack from under one of the gutters. I called Eddie Moore. He said concrete will crack, its normal. When it's that tiny there is nothing to be done about it. If it gets wider we can fill it in with caulk or call him and he will come out and look at it. It has not gotten any wider yet. All in all we are well pleased with the concrete job, especially considering the cost savings over the other quotes. We would definately use them again, and recommend them to other people.
