Horrible!! The Brindley Construction, LLC project manager was unable to understand the overall project, which consisted of repair and/or replacement of rotted woodwork. There were several meetings and detailed descriptions given which included him taking photos of the house of required areas where repairs/restoration were needed. He was very convincing that he understood, and even made suggestions of what he believed to be better options than my original plans (more costly of course) but when he priced the project, he included areas that were NEVER discussed as needing repairs/restoration. When he corrected his admitted mistake, he eliminated a large portion of work and materials to be performed, but his price was substantially increased. The second price submittal was still incorrect by count and type of materials quoted. He corrected his admitted mistake, and again the price substantially increased. The third time was no different. He submitted an incorrect material count and type, with yet another price increase. All the while, the job scope is decreased, his price continues to increase. During this time they actually started my project, worked nine (9) days (at less than full time) and replaced 180 linear feet of facia board. They left my job with the intention of not coming back until the other materials were received (1+ month out), leaving the work they started unfinished. During this time, part of the job requirement and discussions from the onset, the job manager began backing out of his commitment to complete as he had agreed. At this point I decided to terminate Brindley Construction LLC and offered to pay for their time and materials. They were not willing to accept that, but the president of the company insisted on having the FULL contract price, for which a contract agreement had never be signed as they could not get the materials and work to be performed correct. The president of the Brindley Construction, LLC stood in my home, insulted me and called me names. It went from bad to worse. This is not the first time this has occurred with this group. Please research the Huntsville, AL legal records for other lawsuits. Stay clear of this company and if you are involved with them, BE SURE TO HAVE LEGAL DOCUMENTS ON YOUR BEHALF AND DO NOT SIGN THEIR DOCUMENTS. THERE IS NO PROTECTION FOR YOU - ONLY THEM. WATCH THEM VERY CLOSELY FOR QUALITY OF MATERIALS, WORK PERFORMED AND UNJUSTIFIED PRICE INCREASES.
