Rural Septic Service

I've had a chronic drain field problem for a while now. Rural Septic has had to pump my tank several times and each time has followed through professionally, punctually and dependably. I would recommend them to someone else.

The driver was kind, professional and curtious. But once the job was complete and paid for the driver attempted to pull out of our drive way. We had recently had an ice storm so the ground was still wet and icy on one side of our drive way. When he pulled out he apparently got stuck from not pulling in properly and dregged up our drive way. The driver immedielty called the owner and the owner apparently told him that there wasn't anything we could do. After months of calling and calling and being ignored we finally called from a different number and the man answered, I'm assuming it was the ower. He was rude, claimed his insurance came out and there was no fault of the driver. Our home owners insurance came out the day after it happened and said the company is responsible but because we only had swelling coverage there wasn't anything they could do. So now we're stuck with anything $2,500 repair job that should have never happened. Again the driver was courteous, but after talking with several other septic companies the driver should have evaluated the asphalt drive way before pulling in. I HIGHLY recommend Bob's septic service !!

Ryan took good care of this job. Job was scheduled for ~1:00pm and he arrived about 12:50, calling beforehand to let me know. He arrived with a truck that was too large for our driveway, but he was able to arrange for a smaller truck to be available and came back with it same day (about 45 miles round-trip). We live on a pretty steep incline and our tank is below the end of the driveway. This requires about 80 feet of hose and having to go up and down the steps. He was open to answering questions. He completed the job to our satisfaction.

I had both septic openings uncovered upon arrival of Rural Septic. He pumped out the inlet side of tank then rolled up hoseas if to leave. I reminded him that l had uncovered both sides of septic for a reason, and he replied that pumping the inlet side pumped out the entire tank. I advised him that was not correct as there was a baffle between the tanks & both sides required pumping. He then proceeded to pump out the outlet or drain field side and apologized for mistake.Other than that ,l felt everything went o.k.Five years ago l used same company & the owner performed the job along with installing risers, & did a very professional job. Next time l will request the owner do the job or use a different company.

We had a funny sound in our toilet when water was draining. We therefore called the septic service to pump our septic tank. they located an abandoned tank immediately. When looking for the tank which we were using the employee was bumfuggled. The owner of the company came out a few hours later and located the septic tank and drain field on our neighbors property. He used sonar to confirm the location and dug up the corner for added confirmation. He also installed an outdoor " overflow" pipe, fixed a hole in the pipe. All was done at a very reasonable price, considering.

Todd was easy to reach and pleasant to talk to. We arranged (non-urgent) service for a date and time the following week. An hour and a half past the scheduled appointment time, Rural Septic had not arrived and I called Todd to inquire. Todd told me his workers were running behind but would be there shortly. Sure enough Ryan showed up within the next half hour. Todd showed up as well to check in. Work went quickly and without incident. The price I was charged was $20 less than the price quoted.

We called and left a message on Rural Septic Service's machine [along with some competitors] around 8 or 9pm on New Years Day and Todd returned our call within minutes. He said he would try to be here by late morning the next day to check our cleanout [to verify that it would work with their pump truck hose]. Todd was here by 10 am the next morning and the pump truck was here by 10:15. They got things connected, pumped out the tank, and he explained where the problems in the septic line may be. He gave me a list of names of some folks who do "field work" if we needed anything redone. The bill came to $210 -- exactly what he told me it would be the evening before. No arguments, haggling, hidden or "unexpected" costs or fees. I was impressed -- especially after being ripped off by another local septic service last February (which cost us thousands). I would recommend this company.

Rural Septic emptied our tank last year and told us that they thought our drain field needed to be replaced, so a year later, we called about having the drain field replaced. Todd referred us to three different guys who do that kind of work. We got one of them lined up to do the necessary work, and called Todd to have our tank emptied. He called before he was supposed to show up and said he would be an hour to an hour and a half late. He showed up two and a half hours later. But, he did the work, his worker carefully dug the grass up over the septic and set it aside so that it could be replanted. Todd also put a camera through our grey water system to see where that pipe was running so we could get it tied in properly. They were very nice, but late and Todd kept spitting in my basement drain (grey water), which I thought was a little inappropriate. But, he helped figure out how our system was working, and called the drain field guy to explain what our piping layout.

I had to call Rural Septic Service to come and empty my septic tank that was full. I really did not look around to much, I basically looked in the phone book and found that they were the cheapest around for what I needed. They were very responsive, in the sense that I told them that it was pretty much very important that they get there as soon as possible. Knowing my problem, from them knowing their own business, they really did not waste any time getting to me. Rural Septic Systems made the appointment the very next day after I called them, they sent two guys out, and they were able to drain it without it having any leaks or damage to my tank. It really did not take them long at all, and the two guys were very a pleasant and friendly couple of guys to talk with, which made my experience with this company ok.
