Fabulous! John came highly recommended by a trusted source as a one stop shop to accomplish what I needed. He does it all: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc. When I first contacted John to meet me, he arrived 30 minutes early. He spent 3.5-4 hours going through the home I had purchased, thoroughly listening and giving recommendations for options on accomplishing the tasks. John proved to be extremely reliable (12 years in the Marines. Thank you!) over the 4 months that he worked for me. I found him to be honest as the day is long! As the work was being performed on a vacation home, where I could not be there to supervise regularly, he routinely reported in to me what he had accomplished, any snags or issues, etc, without my asking. Even when he had to leave town to attend to a family illness, he notified me so that I would be aware he would not be on the job those days. Superb work! By far, John is the best home improvement person I have ever dealt with!
Description of Work: John built a gazebo deck extension, stilted 16 ft. off the ground in places. He properly shored up the existing deck, poured concrete footers around all posts supporting the deck (a 3 sided deck), stained the deck, and built gates for the deck to keep the dogs from getting into the unfenced portion of the yard. John also performed all the electrical work for a hot tub hookup to include a new sub-panel box run to a closer location. He installed photocell lighting on the home and drive, low voltage lighting to bathe the deck, and security lighting for the backyard. Additionally, on the outside, he leveled up a muddy clay area under the home near the steps leading to the backyard, landscaping it with timbers and gravel, as well as pouring concrete pads that helped stabilize the stairs and the grill. Inside, John installed cedar wainscoting, painted, installed ceiling fans, track lighting, plumbing, electrical, and various other tasks inside and out (no space to say more).
