We took a part from our lawn tractor to them to buy a replacement. We showed them the part and gave them the model number and serial number of our tractor. They provided what they said was the part, but when compared to the original (which we showed them) it was clearly wrong, so they brought us another they said was right. Although seemed to be different from the original, since they had double-checked we installed and used the part. It was not the correct size either, and caused two drive belts to break. It was early spring before we attempted to repair the tractor again (several months had passed.) We called them about getting credit for the incorrect part and getting the correct one, and they said they would not accept the incorrect part back, it had been too long, and they would not give us credit. They would not replace the two broken belts, which cost $28 each, because they had not installed them. They demonstrated no interest or courtesy in dealing with us as customers, and the manager who handled the phone call told us the owner was sitting there with her.
Description of Work: We purchased lawn tractor repair parts from this vendor last summer. One of the most critical parts was incorrect when they brought it out, so we showed them the original part, and they went and got a different one. We installed the part and as it began to destroy drive belts, it was clear that it was incorrect once again. We called the store (it is 35 miles away) and were told they would not accept the part back.
