Randy Newman promptly replied for quote request. Once we decided to hire Newman and Sons Painting, Bruce Newman was able to schedule the interior job rather quickly Warren, , job supervisor was very attentive. Although the interior job did not meet satisfaction, Warren responded immediately and corrections were promptly corrected. With apprehension, we continued with the exterior...and were pleasantly surprised. Excellent workmanship, communication, and willing to correct mistakes.

Regarding pricing, the bid to paint the interior of my home was much higher than the other quotes I obtained from other local painting companies. I did not accept their proposal to paint the interior of my home, but I DID accept the proposal for them to refinish and paint my cabinets. I have mixed feelings about this company. When I first contacted them, they were very attentive. I was able to quickly get someone out to my home to provide me with a quote (which I also received quickly). The owner even called a few days later to correct an error with his proposal and to touch base with me. I have heard from several people that the quality of the work that Newman and Sons provides is good, but I cannot speak from experience. Once I signed and accepted the proposal to do my kitchen cabinets, things got very quiet. I realize this was all done during the Holidays, which is a hectic time, but after I didn't hear from the company for several days, I called and left a message asking someone to follow up with me. Quite a few more days went by with no word, so I called back. I did receive a call back later that day or the next (I can't recall now) and talked briefly with someone there about what I wanted to have done, etc. I was told that the man would come to my home and take a cabinet door with him to prepare a sample for my approval. That next day came, and I never received a call, nor did the man come to my home. The spotty customer service prompted me to cancel my order, which thankfully the company was easy to work with. (I had not put down any money, nor had anyone come to my property to do any work.) Again, I had heard good things about this company, and they may provide great work, but I wasn't overly impressed with their customer service. I would have thought that for an expensive project, they would have been a little more enthusiastic to have my business. Oh well.

Newman and Sons has done 2 jobs for me now on hard to get places where I can not safely reach. The prices were very reasonable and the work was quality.

It went exceptionally well. They were prompt, worked hard, professional, and most of all, the quality of their workmanship was exceptional. I could not have asked for a better experience.

They had plenty of workers at my house for a few days to do the job. However, I didn't see a lot of sanding and priming going on (which is required when painting latex over oil based paint and they knew this). I wasn't there all day to watch the work (had my boyfriend or family stay while they were there) so I hoped that that step was completed while I was away. Turns out my paint started easily being scuffed and started peeling off all around my house- especially the base boards! I paid a lot of money for the service but should have gone with another more expensive company. I assume you get what you pay for. Also, as a side note, my house was broken into after the work was completed (about a week later). I don't have any PROOF that it was related to the guys who were working in my house but it was very coincidental. The robbers seemed to know exactly what they were after. The company did say they'll come back and touch up some spots that started to peel off immediately after the work was done but since I didn't want those guys back at my house anymore, I didn't take them up on the offer. It seems obvious to me that touch up wasn't going to fix the problems anyway since they didn't apply it the way they should have in the first place.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Randy came to give estimate and said he would email me his bid. It was on my computer an hour later. Then he came back by and detailed everything they were going to do and they would start the next day. I had a couple of miscues with the paint, which was my fault and they immediately sent me to pick different paint and had it redone that afternoon. Their workers were punctual, courteous, and did anything I asked of them. There was also another small problem with some caulking and they came out the next morning and corrected it. I would recommend this company to anyone. After comparing prices with a friend about another painting company in town, I was amazed that they were more than reasonable. Again, this was a wonderful experience. How I wish all my home improvements went this smooth.

Very pleased. They showed up when they said they would. They redid areas we thought looked different due to the lighting on the new paint color without hesitation.

They did an excellent job and we will be using them again in the future to paint the house.

They did a very professional job and they cleaned up the work site every day before they left. They were very good. They were very considerate about how they went about their work. They tried to disrupt us as little as possible.

One of the owners came to the house very promptly after my initial phone call. He gave me a firm estimate on the spot indicating that, even if they ran into unforseen difficulties, this estimate would be the final amount. They replaced bad wood and/or filled with wood putty as appropriate. They showed up a day early before I was even out of bed! I was pleased with their more than promptness as we were trying to get the house on the market. The work was well done and done very quickly - there were as many as 20 men on the job at one time, but they did not stumble over each other. The work was well coordinated. The deck was not part of the original deal, but I asked for an estimate after they had started. The estimate was beyond what I could afford at the moment, but the owner decided that since the men were already there he would make it affordable. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing painting/repair work. The one caveat I would add is to make sure the job foreman clearly undestands what work is to be done - in fine detail - preferably before work is started. The work was done according to the original agreement, but I had to work closely with the foreman to insure that was the case. This is a very fine company to work with!

The owner inspected the house thoroughly prior to providing an estimate and identifed any number of trouble spots that required wood replacement, caulking or sealing. The price was below the other two estimates. The crew that performed the work was considerate and very professional. The work was cleaned up each everning and tools and ladders stored neatly. The house has more than the usual amount of trim and the work they performed was excellent. We had some trouble deciding on the final color for the body of the house and the crew was extremely patient and worked with us to get it just right. This is a very professional group in terms of quality work and their ability to work with customers. We are very pleased with the experience and the final result.
