Simply the best.

Nicest and most honest guy you'll ever meet. Quality work. He is very busy so you might have to wait to have your fence installed but the wait is worth it. Crew is as friendly and professional as Mr. Holmes. Fair price - not the cheapest nor not the most expensive quote that we received. We are new to the area and hope that all the contractors we meet are as wonderful as Mr. Holmes. Feel we made a new friend!

Earl is one of the nicest men you will ever meet! We absolutely LOVE him. honest and just by reviews you know his work is probably about the best in the business. Downside is he is a busy man. Took us a week or so to receive quote. Then we had a change in design. Earl returned and remeasured, again absolutely the VERY best. We received the 2nd bid about a week or so later but it had elements before the change order. We called to notify of oversight but never received another call. Personally I feel he is so honest that he cuts his prices too low which makes him in great demand. We would have loved to hire him.

Earl and his team are great. Showed up on the day they promised. Finished within two days. Picked up every last piece of equipment and scrap. Very polite, courteous and prompt. Had a little spot that did not fit perfectly but they made it so and it looks great! I recommend them and trust them around my home. If they noticed any scratches they would go around and touch them up. Very meticulous when doing this. When they encountered an issue they stayed calm and made sure to fix the issue. Just a great crew. Everything I expected it to be.

.I chose Holmes Construction because of the good ratings. He was realistic about the time frame. He contacted me before his crew or anyone connected with his job would be arriving at my home. We had a mistake on the size of the gate with he corrected right away. Unexpected things happen on most jobs, what matters is how they are corrected. The crew worked late to finish the job. I would use this company again & will recommend them to my family & friends.

We were willing to give Earl the job, which would have been a $4000 job. However, Earl didn't seem interested at all. We tried to chase him down a couple of times with phone calls, emails and text messages, but no response! In the end we were so glad it didn't work out, because we found the ultimate contractor (Turner Fence) to install our fence. So, Thank you Earl, for preventing us from hiring your services.

Very satisifed with the entire purchase and installation process. Earl Holmes was fair, factual and communicative throughout. The actual installation went well and on time as scheduled, despite some moderately difficult post hole digging. Would definitely recommend.

Mr Holmes came out the next day or two after calling to give a quote. He was very reasonable compared to other fencers that I got a quote from. He explained that a crew would do this job in 2-3 days (I had a lot of fencing to be done). He explained the process and states that he will be out in 10 days to start the job. That is exactly what happened and we were very happy with the final project! There was a hidden drainage pipe that we did not know about or the surveyor knew about and Mr Holmes spent a couple of hours to fix it and did not charge the extra time it took to fix. Overall, I plan on using him to redue another fence in a couple of years on the same property and would recommend him to family and friends.

Mr. Holmes was wonderful. Very kind and clearly explained what the job involved. Completed the work in just over one day and even cut down a tree. We are very satisfied and will definitely call him again for future needs.

Very fair price. Earl came out promptly twice to provide an estimate - once before a survey was necessary and then after. Gave me a large range of options (type of fence, gates, etc.. He also noticed a very large dieing tree which he recommended taking down before the fence and volunteered to do that too at an additional $250 (versus other estimates of >$1000). Estimated work would take 4 to 5 days after materials came in to fencing wholesalers. Materials came in on a Friday morning. He brought a truck over the following Wednesday evening so he could start work early the next day. All work satisfactorily completed at 8:00 pm that Friday evening.

I called them and a couple of other people that were on Angie’s List, and they were the cheapest. They were also the only ones that showed up and that’s why I chose them. Overall the job turned out well. They came out and did it when they said they were going to and finished up on time. They didn’t make a mess as well. I had a good experience with them. They were the lowest in terms of price. The quality of work was very good. Their responsiveness was good. I called them several times and they always returned my call.

Earl Holmes came to my house and did and excellent job on a chain link fence repair! I had a tree that had grown into the fence and one post, so when I had the tree cut and the stump ground I had removed several feet of chain link as well as 2-3 posts. I called a few companies for quotes and Mr. Holmes was able to come and give me a quote that day! I was so happy. As all homeowners know, the early bird gets the worm! He arrived Thursday with his crew and got right to work. They poured concrete for the new posts, placed new posts and new chain link fence. They even took the time to move a gate that I had left from the lower end of my fence to the right side (making it more convenient for us to enter our back yard)...and reinforced the existing gate post to my home. When they were tightening the chain link, they raised a perpendicular piece of existing fence that was sagging in the corner! The fact that he took the time to move the gate and tighten a sagging corner of my fence meant he cared about the quality of his work and he cared about my yard. No other fence company would have done above and beyond the way Mr. Holmes did without charging more $$$. His quote was over $200 cheaper than Lowe's and he was much quicker to respond. It means a lot to find companies that are still concerned with making customers happy without draining their pockets!

I called Mark and he came out within a day to give an estimate to fence in our back and side yard, He sent back an estimate with several different types of fencing to choose from which was very helpful because we were not sure which would be best for our situation. Mark discussed options with us and told us he felt the chain link would be the best. We have two dogs (Yorkie and Great Dane) so it was important to us that the fence would be sturdy enough and also would last a long time with little maintenance as we also have a newborn baby. Mark and his crew started on Friday and set all the poles working into the dark evening. He himself came back on Saturday morning to set the 4 remaining poles to ensure that he could finish stretching the fence on Monday! Sure enough he was here bright and early Monday morning and finished. He even asked me if I wanted him to let my GReat Dane out of her pen before leaving!! The fence looks great! I would defiantly use Hamilton fence again, in fact later on we are going to have him come back to extend the fence to cover our side lot which my husband just cleared off!! Mark is an honest, christian man and my family enjoyed meeting him and working with him.

Mr. Holmes sent his son and an additional worker to fix my fence. They worked quickly to repair the fence and the price was reasonable.

A contractor friend recommended Mr. Holmes knowing that I was seeking to replace a damaged fence on my property. He simply said, "I've found you the best fence guy." Knowing that my friend does not mince words, I contacted Mr. Holmes and could not be happier with the results. Mr. Holmes was prompt in responding to my phone call. I explained my schedule and my desires to Mr. Holmes and he was able to give me a rough estimate of time and money during his first site visit. Before work was to begin, we met and clarified some of my desires for the design (wanted a semi-private rather than private back fence, and wanted to use Cypress rather than Pine). Mr. Holmes held to his original estimate and never made me feel uncomfortable about somewhat changing the design. Mr. Holmes held to the agreed upon schedule and price and was truly professional in his service every step of the way. He and his crew had an attention to detail, patching a few rough spots in my existing side fence, and ensuring that the new fences joined in nicely with the existing. He and his crew kept a clean job site as well. Mr. Holmes was a pleasure to work with and a solid storyteller to boot. I could not be happier with my new fence and the job that Mr. Holmes and his crew did.

I was impressed by the quality of the finished product. The fence is straight as an arrow. I wanted to be sure that my small dog couldn't dig out. Earl and his crew cleared a smooth path for the fence and installed a fence that hugged the ground. Especially with the tension wire, I don't think my dog has a chance. I didn't anticipate how much work it would be for Earl to cut through brush, small trees, and stumps to establish this fence line. He said that it was a "value-added service". I will use definitely use him again for another fencing project and would recommend him to anyone.

The fence looks superb. I was shocked at how level the fence is considering the uneven and vast terrain. Workers tirelessly pounded in posts and ensured that all panels were level. Further, 3 gates were added including a drive-in gate and were all extremely reasonably priced. Earl personally oversaw the job and ensured that the job was completed on-time and with precision. They even, at no cost to us, dug equidistant holes 10-feet apart behind our fence and within our property line for us because we had told them that we wanted to plant cypress trees in the near future. In the end, the job was finished over the weekend, which astonished me. Further, the cost was four-figures less than nearly every other quote that we had secured. I would recommend Earl Holmes and Holmes Construction & Fence to ANYONE. And so would our 'killer' chihuahua and miniature pinscher, who now have a contained home in which to bark at everyone from. We love our new fence and constantly receive compliments from neighbors and friends. 5-stars for this company.

The whole thing went outstanding. The evening before the team started the job Earl came out and dropped off the supplies for the job. The next day the team came by and got working on the brush and digging holes. When I got home from work they had already seated the posts and the following day they set up the fencing. I expected them to take 3-4 days but they finished in half the time. The guys were friendly and explained the whole process.

Repaired several sections of fence (with fresh posts) after trees fell during recent storms. Came out same day for a quote, and a few days later to complete the work. Great experience, recommend

We have 2 German Shepherds, one of which is an escape artist. We have never been able to keep him contained, by fences, crates or anything else. Earl suggested that we put up Black Chain Link because it looks nicer than the galvonized steel and chain link is teh best choice for containment. He also suggested that we put wire along the bottom of the fence to keep our esacpe artist from digging under the fence. It was a great and pretty affordable (additional $100) suggestion. I am extremely pleased with the fence and the overall work from Earl. So far it has been great for containing our dog. I would definitely use Earl Holmes again if we need any additional fence work. The total job took about 3 days to complete from start to finish.

The process was excellent, he answered every question I had. He gave me exactly what I was looking for and the material that I wanted. I decided not to do the project but I would consider using them in the future.

The fence is fantastic! I believe it will be here for 30 years. WE wanted a 6 ft privacy fence across the front and a four foot picket for the rest of the yard. We wanted the widest gate possible for the gate across the driveway. For some reason Mr. Holmes was the only contractor willing to install 2 -six ft gates for a 12 ft opening. I waited awhile before writing because I wanted to use the gates. We signed the contract on the 26th of October work started around November 14 and was completed on the 28th. They even worked on weekends when it rained during the week. June 15, 2015 Just wanted to check in! Over 3 years later and the fence is still true! I bet I could put a level on every post and be super happy! Job well done!
