After having shower installed we realized, the shower pan wasn't installed properly, resulting in a water leak rotting out our bathroom flooring; tile was not adhered to the wall properly in the shower; we had to have the entire shower replaced within a ten year time period due to shoddy construction.

I owe Steve a most sincere apology for not posting my review and expressing our appreciation for the work that did in July/August 2015. They did a GREAT job but seems I had a 'senior moment" and forgot to post my review. Please accept my sincere apology. We moved to this area in late 2014 from out west and had no reliable contacts for work I wanted to do. Found Citadel Construction on Angie's list and called them. Steve responded promptly and we proceeded with the first task of moving the amp pump line. We purchased a home with a crawl space that required moving the sump pump. Contacted several plumbers who provided estimates that seemed out of line. Steve brought his crew and within several hours they rerouted the line, cost estimate $250. We also wanted to install backsplash tile in the kitchen which they did a FANTASTIC job on. Cost for labor $855 & we selected the tile at a supplier that Steve sent us & we paid the invoice, requesting sufficient additional tiles just in case needed in the future. They also did some plumbing work, such as install a Moen kitchen type fixture that we had on the laundry sink, so we could wash the small dog, as well as replace ALL of the supply lines with flexible metal on the kitchen , laundry room and 4 1/2 bathrooms. The total cost was $1,867 It went just GREAT. They showed up as scheduled , on time, cleaned up completely after each day's work, were friends and courteous. I can't say enough good things about their work ethic, timelines or the quality of the work they did. Reviewers that graded Citadel Construction bellow A or B need to examine their expectations. That said, what President Lincoln said " you can not please All of the people All of the time" truly applies. Those of you who are considering Citadel to do some work should feel confident that they will do the QUALITY job at a fair but not necessarily lowest price). I don't remember the price, but it was reasonable.

I have them scheduled to do some painting for me tomorrow. I don't even bid my work out. I just call him and he sends me a bill at the end of it. I trust him enough that I don't have to worry about bidding it out. I have him work for me all the time. The last experience was great. I don't have any issues with him, that's why I call him every time. No one else has touched his professionalism, responsiveness or promptness. The people I have had over the years, no one has touched that. His quality is as good or better as anyone. If he tells you he is going to be there today he will be there that day. If he tells you 8 o'clock, it is 8 o'clock. I don't even bother with anyone else. There is so much disappointment out there, I know I am not going to get that with him.

I could not be happier with Steve and his crew. They showed up when they said they would, they did a good job and left work areas clean. They were always polite and helpful. I needed to add a few things to the proposed list of things to be done and they were very accommodating and got them done. It is the best experience I have ever had with a construction crew. They came highly recommended to me by a friend and I can pass on the recommendation wholeheartedly. If I need any kind of work done in the future, I would trust them to do whatever needed to be done. I have nothing negative to say about this experience.

Painters did a great job, very meticulous, tidy and reliable. My only caveat is that the whole job was rather expensive. UnfortunateIy can't remember exact cost as it has been a couple of years.

It went perfectly. Steve made sure to meet with us early in the process to make sure he understood what we wanted. He always gave us estimates. His workmen were professional.

Steve and his crew removed furniture, repaired walls, ceiling, and floor in a bedroom on ground level. They were careful with our existing home. We have been pleased with the work.

There were no long time lags. Work was completed as soon as conditions permitted. Highly recommend. You will have no worries with this contractor. He is a college graduate with extensive business experience and strives to do quality work. He also will build a home to your standards.

We have called Steve. He either responds or we leave a message. He calls us back the same day and if it is an emergency he will come the same day. He works fast and diligently. He explains his work accurately and his price is always very reasonable. He is extremely responsible and punctual.

Very well! High quality. On time and within budget. Work was done professionally and with constant attention to the fact my family was still in the house while work was being done. His crew made our kitchen usable after each day's work. We lost use of our kitchen for ONLY 1 NIGHT, and Steve offered to make our dinner for us. He was a chef in a previous, long and successful career as a restaurant manager. Steve takes pride in his company and the quality of his crew's work, and it shows. I have recommended him many times over the past several years and would hire him again. Kitchens and bathrooms are his specialty.

Mr. Warren, owner, was an exemplary individual to work with. Trustworthy, displays an incredible attention to detail, and the outcome of the project far exceeded our expectations. Have recommend Mr. Warren/Citadel to several of our neighbors and friends, and they too would agree with my statements. We recently purchased a "fixer upper" from Mr. Warren for our daughter. Remodeling the bathroom began with removing the wallpaper and repairing the walls for paint. The existing shower, flooring, and tile surrounding the tub was removed and disposed of. He removed the vanities, tops and faucets to be reused. Shower controls, tile and shower pan were installed. The 5 1/2" x 4" shower was tiled on two sides with a tiled 16" bench on one end. The other two sides were frameless glass. The 3/8" frameless glass door swings both ways. A stainless steel grab rail and soap niche were also installed. New tile around the tub was installed. Base and shoe moldings were installed. The walls and trim were painted. The vanities, tops, and new faucets (we changed our minds and had new faucets), 3 mirrors, 2 light fixtures and tub panels were installed. All debris was removed. The floor was tiled on a diagonal pattern, which created a better looking floor. All closets were also tiled. A written contract was provided, and the work was done on schedule. Employees were on time and ready to work. Steve Warren, owner, is very professional and easy to work with. We are completely satisfied with the whole process and are enjoying the new bathroom.
