Called 8-27-15 said he would be here the end of next week.He never showed or called.

Very minor quibble -- I called early in the previous week and they said they would get to me by the end of the week but it was actually the following Monday before they came. They were prepared as I had told them they needed to bring ladders to reach 2.5 stories. Things that were really good: they saw the problem differently from what the landscapers had said needed to be done, showed me why, and we discussed solutions; they were prompt once we'd agreed on date/time, they were quick, they were thorough, professional and reasonably priced. Only other minor quibble is I had to do clean-up by picking up the discarded gutter guards and taking them to the dump but no sense in paying them for this. I would recommend them and use them again.

One word: Awesome! Mr. Tripp and two men on his crew arrived a little early but that was OK. He had finished a job sooner than he thought he would. We were in communication with him and he let us know when they would be here. They set right to work and each knew what they were going to do and started doing it. They took great care to protect floors and walls and when they left the house was as clean as when they came. They totally cleaned up and took away all debris. All were very personable and friendly and extremely professional. No cutting corners with this group! We had shutters to put up, but we determined it would be very hard to paint the ones we have so we are going to replace them. Mr. Tripp said he would come back and install them when we get them. Amazing folks to work with, easy to talk to and very nice people. We will definitely be calling this company again soon.

I had never used this team before. We initially met for an inspection and I provided a detailed scope of work. Later that evening I received a written quote by email that included my scope of work write-up. Their work was primarily labor only, I provided nearly all new items. We arranged a start date and they showed up on time and started work. They removed the toilet, pulled up the old flooring (two layers), disconnected the sink plumbing and removed the sink and base cabinet (which was no longer serviceable). They scraped the floor in preparation for ceramic tile installation, and repaired walls where fixtures were moved and where damaged by removal of base boards, sink, and vanity. They were very careful in removing the sink and vanity to not damage the large mirror "sitting" on the sink back-splash. They engaged a ceramic tile subcontractor to do the new floor, who did an excellent job. They re-installed trim including new trim that was needed, caulked all trim, and painted repaired walls. New vanity and molded, solid-service sink was installed, special care taken to shorten the vanity and position and level it for the best overall appearance where it met walls and under the mirror. They also hung a new surface-mount wood medicine cabinet and rehung a towel bar. While there I asked them to check a small drain leak in the other bathroom - which they fixed. They were careful with floor protection while working, cleaned up well after themselves mid-job and at its completion and finished all work as agreed. All team members were friendly, courteous and respectful and sought my input periodically. They went about their work QUICKLY (set-up, demolition, work planning, decisions, etc.) - but slowed down when the tool was in hand for quality craftsmanship. I could not have been more pleased with the crew, the outcomes and the price.

Went great. Workers were professional and worked hard to get the job done. This was estimated to be a two day project but was finished in one.

The job went well. I am particular about details which is why I hired John. As a former machinist, I thought he would pay attention to the details I directed his attention to. For the most part, Daryl and Rob did what I asked them to. The vent material was not installed correctly and they had to come out and correct it. They did so willingly which I appreciated.

I was happy with the service and I will call them back again for some more work. They did a good job and they were reasonably priced. They showed up when they said they would. They do other types of home repair and I have some other jobs that I want to get done. I have confidence in them so I will call them again for an estimate.

The crew showed up on time and went about the business of getting the work done. I found them to be friendly and helpful. The work was completed in half a day and they cleaned up after themselves. Quite impressive from my previous experiences with handymen. Thank you JT to you and your crew!

He came over, inspected the roof. It was in good shape, just lacked some nails in ridge vent. He took pics of the ridge vent on his cell phone and explained what he needed to do and told me what it would cost. After I agreed, he fixed it. I did inquire about fixing the ceiling- plaster/paint and some other repairs around the house that needed to be done, but he was not interested in doing the work. Since he was driving from about 25 miles away, he said to repair the ceiling (about a 1 foot x 1 foot area) would be $100. Way too much. He did tell me what to do to fix it. I'm pleased with the remedy for the ridge vent.

John has done several jobs over the years for me. I have 2 rental houses and my residence that h has worked on. He is great to work with and always does a top notch job. He has great people working for him and John always makes sure the customer is happy. I had a small issue with the tub faucet being installed improperly. I called John up and he came right out and fixed it. Took less than 5 minutes but I was impressed with how quickly he responded. In one rental house he completely rebuilt a bathroom with new subfloor and flooring, new tub and tile on the wall. It looks like something out of a magazine. Much better than I expected. J T home repair can do just about anything to do with home repair. I have had one or two projects that he told me was out of his field and I appreciate his honesty but anything he has told me he could do he has done and done it very well. I highly recommend J T Home Repair. I give him an A+++

He wasn’t going to be able to do the work because he is over an hour and a half away.

He showed up right on time, went right to work and completed all work in a timely manner. Cleaned up the area nicely when completed work and left everything looking like new. We were very pleased with all aspects of this project.

Real well. He did a great job. Timely. The work is good quality.

It went great! We have used J T Home Repair services several times and they are our go-to guys when it comes to repairs/renovations/installations. We are out of their regular service area and are very happy to give them some extra for the extra travel expense and time. They still come in much lower than other companies we have gotten estimates from, in one situation it was almost $1000 lower. The work is always good. He always explains clearly what he has done. He is always on time. The one time he had to change the appointment, he gave us plenty of notice. They are always polite and professional and clean up after themselves. I only wish they also did electrical work. I just cannot say enough good things about this company.

My experiences with them went fantastic. I've used them a lot, for different things for about a year and a half. They're always on time and do exactly what they say they're going to do. Their prices are good.

J T kept me appraised of when workers would be coming, and staff showed up in a timely fasion. I asked for less than 1" openings, a high privacy lattice to keep out rabitts, and John exchanged the the original atandard lattice and found the desired type with no problem. Work was ongoing over about 4 days (rain interrupted work). The staff was professional, worked hard, and did an excellent job.

It was a good deal. I was pleased with him when it comes time to code, i will call him. He was a nice person. He told me exactly what he was going to do and the cost. He did a good job. I did not compare his price to anybody else.

JT is very professional and very good. He arrived on time, price is fair and does good work. We are about to hire him again to do even more.

The tile took a little longer to lay than I expected but the finished product is great.

They did a good job. I expected the owner of the company to come but his wife and sister-in-law that came. That's not a problem except I was going to talk to him about some more work which I didn't push through. However, everything was okay.

It was an average job. We asked them to do more than the advertised job so we paid an additional amount. They did what was expected. They did go out of their way to do an exceptional job.

This actually covers two visits. We recently purchased a house that is new to us. We scheduled an appointment with John to give us an estimate on a list of things we wanted done. The day before the appointment, we had frozen pipes in the garage due to an outside faucet that was covered with ivy and that we did not know about to cover. When John came for the estimate appointment, we asked if he would replace the burst pipes. He agreed and came the very next day to do the repairs. He was there exactly when he said he would be, he and his employee completed the repair to our complete satisfaction. He looked at the other work we wanted and we had an estimate that same evening. He even told me that the water line for the fridge was something that we could do ourselves and that the garage door opener was not something he was familiar with but he was willing to do it and he would let us know if it was not feasible. He came back as scheduled to complete the other items on the list. He was running about 20 minutes late and called to let us know. I was so impressed. I have never had that kind of experience with a contractor before. Not only did he install the garage door opener, he had to work around a missing bracket and we were very pleased with the results. I recommend J T Home Repair with complete confidence. He was professional, reasonably priced, and very patient with all my questions. We are going to have him back to complete some other projects on the home.

Excellent trim work with little to no over-painting. Punctual and finished when they said they would.

Both ladies we punctual, prompt, friendly and EXTREMELY hard working. Finding out they are sisters helped explain why they worked so well together. Excellent repoir with us and each other. Just a few days after we called, they came out to do what we thought was the estimate for the extra work. THEY WERE READY TO DO THE WORK THAT SAME DAY! We weren't :) but were truly amazed that there are still such hard working people out there. They came the following weekend, had no problems with doing even more footage than we originally requested or staying later to get it done. They did a wonderful job... a few cleanup spots left only charmed us more because it reminded us that these ladies are just regular had working people like we are! Kudos to you and your hard work! We highly recommend this company to anyone.

There was a big deal online that his company was offering, and when I called to inquire about it, he stated that he was not going to honor it because he got an overwhelming response and didn't want to continue this deal. He even said, "go ahead and 'buy' it online, but I won't honor it. He was very unprofessional and rude. He acts like a biggot and spoke derogatory to me saying that I was trying to "jew" him down. I do not believe you have to be "jewish" to negotiate a deal. This is a large deal with a large amount of money on the table for the project, so I am trying to help my mother save some money and be fair to him at the same time. He agreed to an hourly rate, and he went back on this deal a week later. He completely reneged on the deal entirely.
