Service men hard to understand due to accent

I called because I had a toilet tank was filling very slowly. The scheduled very quickly and the technician was there within a few hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the valve in the flush box., a $20 part which didn't even require any tools....total time: 15 minutes, total cost $216.95.I sent a comment to them on their web site stating my displeasure and they did respond.

Plumber arrived on time (last bit of good news). There was much legalistic nonsense about how RR is NOT responsible for any unseen issues (with forms for the customer to sign which absolves RR of any responsibility for any plumbing problems you have from now until the end of the world). Plumber cleared ONE drain (did not touch the bathtub three feet away) and charged $250.00. He did a poor job cleaning up and did not wear sanitary booties (as Lee Company employees always do). In short, RR charges 20% more than Lee Company and do a less professional job. I will not call Roto-Rooter again.

Very well. I meet Shane in the Christie Cookie Office & asked how much would you charge to check out my toilet. That's when he gave me an estimate. I spoke with a lady in his place of business and told her I was with Angie's list & she gave me a discount Yahoooooo!!!!!!!!!! need I say more, except THANK YOU.

They arrived promptly, and looked at the situation. I had already gotten over the phone estimates from the other companies I had called, all said $65, which is their minimum. I asked Roto Rooter for the price before they started, and was told $225, and that would include replacing BOTH valves. I told them I could not afford that, and that I would have to wait for one of the others. Then, the price came down to $175, but only to replace the one valve. I said no, I could get it done for less, and I could wait a couple of days for someone else. He asked me how much the phone estimates were, so I told him. He acted very upset, but suddenly decided he could do it for that price just to save ME from having to call someone else and wait for them to come. I let him do it, but then he refused to put the washer back in place telling me that the floor would have to dry so it wouldn't ruin the washer! The floor is concrete and runs downhill (it's a garage). I think from now on, I will be waiting for a plumber that is willing to tell me the price upfront, and is willing to do the job completely, which to me means putting the washer back against the wall. I had to get my neighbor to come over and put it back, as the washer was not level where he left it. I will NOT be calling Roto Rooter for any reason what-so-ever! Roto Rooter is now OUT of my phone book!

My sewer line was corroded and collapsed under all the weight after the recent heavy rains. Roto-Rooter was the third plumber to try to get the lines unplugged but they found it was not possible and the line had to be replaced. They do not offer financing so you have to pay in full; half before the job and the remainder when the job is complete. They gave me the best possible price and a fife year guarantee. Richard was an excellent help and was very kind. I highly recommend this plumber.

They were great! They came right away and were very prompt. They were very professional. Everything has been working great since they performed the service.

The sewer backed up into our house on Saturday morning. I had just received an e-mail from Angie about something and it made me think... check Angie's List. I went to the Roto Rooter website and called the 800 number and they said said Richard would be there ASAP. Richard came within one hour of our placing the call. When he was unable to clear the line with the snake, he called in Ben for the "estimate". Ben determined that AT&T had set the new pole on top of our sewer line and crushed it. Ben was very professional and so was Richard. Both were so nice considering they were at my home on a Saturday morning. Richard and another gentleman spent all day Saturday and Sunday digging and laying new pipe. By Sunday afternoon we were back in business with new sewer line from the house to the road. This was a bad experience that could have turned into a nightmare if not for the quick, professional response and work done by the Roto Rooter team. The price is what it is. Expensive or not, I have no idea. Don't really care, it was worth it to have them fix it fast, fast and did I say fast. I am sure I am not giving them all the cudos they deserve, but I will definately add them to my list... the top of my list for plumbing, etc. USE THEM!!

I was very unhappy with the way a price was decided on. It was like playing poker and was not straightforward. I felt very awkward. After the job was done I asked the tech if any of the drains were clogged and he replied that he could not see underground and therefore could not determine if they had been clogged. My painter determined in going around the house that one of the drain pipes was pulled out of the ground. Soil fell into the hole and the painter was concerned if the drain was in fact clear. I personally saw the Roto Rooter man take the drain out. I thought it would be fixed before he left. When I called Roto Rooter they were not willing to accept responsibility for their actions, and in addition were rude over the phone. This is not the type of company I would ever have over to my house again!

Called RotoRooter on Saturday regarding our clogged main line drain. Philip came out that evening to attempt to clear it. Unsuccessful after two hours, we agreed he'd come back the next day. Sunday morning, 4 more hours and we still have a clogged drain. Philip has another plumber sent out and charges me nothing for his work. Bob came out on Sunday night. Working alone, he cleared the drain in 1.5 hours by digging up the main line and installing an exterior cleanout. He indicated, in advance, that this would cost $400. I didn't realize that $400 was for the digging and clog clearing, but did not include the cleanout installation. Feeling bad for misleading me, he charged only $15 for the cleanout installation (actual material cost). After completion, Bob arranged for a complimentary camera snake to come out later that week to confirm the pipes condition. (usually $250 extra). RotoRooter may not be cheap, but Bob was certainly capable and very professional.

Roto-Rooter did a good job opening up the pipe line. They showed up on time and did a good job. It was kind of like a father, and son team and they didn't look very professional, but I would hire them for a future job.

I liked that I knew how much it would be before they came out. It was Thanksgiving and Roto Rooter came out right away to help, which we appreciated. I had three people out to try to fix it before then and none of them could do it. Roto-Rooter finally fix

Roto-rooter charged way too much. They kept on canceling and we had to dig the hole but still had to pay them for it. They were not at all professional. I would never hire them again.

Roto-Rooter did a fine job. The quality of workmanship was great. They were also very prompt which was appreciated.

I have used Roto-Rooter in the past to unclog my washer line. I have been very satisfied with their work. They always get to my house quickly and call ahead before they come. They are expensive, however, so I may have to look elsewhere for a better price.

It was a last-minute after hours call, which added to the expense. Roto Rooter was able to get the parts quickly. He knew exactly what he needed and he put everything in right away.
